"It may be a good thing..." Mozenrath sighed, bringing himself to his feet. "However things such as falling, pain and anything else along those lines are not." He began to dust the dirt from his clothing, thoroughly inspecting both them and his gauntlet, "And next time, if you feel the need to jump from somewhere high, tell me if you can actually land it. I have absolutely no desire to break my arm."
"Wah!" Sora cried, mimicking a baby, "poor little Mozie hurt himself, whatever will he doo?" The child turned back around and paced towards Jubilee cautiously, examining the sparks, "if they hurt you then why would you use them? So I'll have to say no, they don't burn you! Too bad though."

"But that's the point," Jubilee said, helping to brush off Mozenraths jacket. "The feeling of helping someone makes up for getting hurt, right? I mean...it's supposed to," she added, sounding a little unsure of herself.
"I didn't ask YOU," she said, her hands sparking in his face, then she pulled them away from Sora. She turned away, muttering. "Too bad you don't accidently ninja a broken arm on yourself."
Jubilee suddenly tilted her head, as if noticing Mozenrath's gauntlet for the first time. "W-what's that for?" she asked, touching it lightly. It made her feel nervous, for some strange reason.

"Ya, well too bad you didn't fall on your face." Sora stuck his tongue out at Jubilee, "it would have been an improvement!"
"This?" He replied as he withdrew his gloved hand, "It's um..." he paused, not wanting to tell anyone that it was this, this plain piece of clothing, that gave him his magic. He especially didn't want to have to say it to her, someone able to conjure up whatever those sparks were, without the aid of some magical device. "It's noth-"
"I'll tell you what that is!" Sora stepped forward, sneering. "That is what gives him his little powers. Without that he's just some weak human, like you."

The little girl jumped a bit as Mozenrath withdrew his hand.
"I...oh, I...you don't have to tell me..."
Jubilee's lip raised in a small snarl. "Weak? HUMAN?" If she were a cat, she'd be hissing. Her voice dropped dangerously. "And what gives you the right to tell me something he didn't want known, huh? That was very rude." She paused. "And could you handle it then? There's more to magic then whether its an object or yourself."

"Hmm, you've got a sharp tongue" Sora smirked, "I like that. See you could be my ally, we could search for the treasure that's in that big castle. With my blades and agility and your magic, we'd make quite the fearsome team." He disregarded her question entirely, chuckling as he continued, "but you'd have to trust me of course."
"What can I say?" Mozenrath forced a smile, "I am a weak little human after all, why not use this. Besides, fighting with weapons is just too... predictable."

"Ew." Jubilee said shortly, in response to Sora's smirk. "You're a mean, spiteful little boy. You're proud and arrogent, and you're very rude to your brother without reason."
Sound familiar? XD
"Why would I want to be on any 'team' with you? Besides, even if for some reason you trusted me, I would never, ever trust you."
Jubilee looked up at the teen. "But...I don't think you're weak...." she blinked. "Er...how..how did you get it? The glove, I mean."

"Oh ho ho, you say I'm mean but all I did was say hi. Tsk tsk" He winked, shaking his index finger in her face, "and maybe I have a reason. Whatever."
"I've had it ever since I can remember" Mozenrath paused, thinking back, "Even when I was an... item. Why do you ask?"
"Well I could be a powerful ally for you." He sighed turning away from her, the grin never leaving his face, "Would you rather hang out with someone who's boring and smart? Or perhaps interesting and foolish, not to mention mean, spiteful, proud, arrogant, well you get the idea."

"You did much more then say 'hi'." Jubilee shrugged. Whatever, she didn't feel like arguing with the boy.
"Why do you think your brother is boring? Because he's smart? Or because you just don't like him?" She shook her head, confused. "Why can't you just be nice? Then maybe I'd be able to be friends with both of you!" She looked back and forth, hopefully.
"I dunno," she said, pausing to think. "Most things like that, it seems like you have to give something in return. Or at least...that's what I've noticed in movies and books."

Mozenrath didn't reply, he simply took a quick glance at the gauntlet that adorned his right arm, then the ground.
"Aww, see look. You made him sad." Sora chuckled, "And yet you call me the bully."
Unlike her however he loved to argue.
"But maybe I do like him, who's to say? Maybe he just doesn't like me. Either way, it's not like it's any of your concerne now is it? Why don't you just run along like a good little girl should? Hmm?"

Jubilee was furious. "Why...you little..." she was so angry, nothing would come out. A good little girl? She clenched her hands in little fists at her sides, her lip trembling and tears brimming in her eyes. AND he accused her of making Mozenrath sad!
"That's it!" she cried, leaping at Sora, her hands out, trying to claw him. It didn't matter if her nails made contact, whatever small control she had before was gone and blinding flashes were flowing out of her hands.

"Hey! HEY!" Sora cried as she lept on him, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!"
"JUBILEE!" Mozenrath shouted as he ran to his brother's aid, "As much as I wouldn't mind him getting his 'just deserts', it's not the time!" He reached down to pry the girl from Sora (after allowing a few hits of course).
Sora however was scrambling to get out of her clutches, reaching for anything that could pull him to safety, which unfortunately happened to be Mozenrath. With a quick tug the gauntlet fell off Mozenrath's boney wrist.
"Shi-" Mozenrath gasped, staring at the skeletal frame that was once him right arm. Scrambling he hid his arm behind his back, under his cloak, hoping that no one had seen it.

Jubilee was kicking ferociously, her arms flailing around, and she felt her hand smack Sora once or twice. Tears were streaming down her face, unsure of how to deal with this much of one emotion. She was angry and hated him for telling her to be a good little girl.
As Sora tugged off the glove, her limbs suddenly fell limp. She just barely recognize Mozenrath's left arm holding her and wiped the tears, thinking she was seeing things.
"Your...hand..." she whispered, reaching out towards it.

"Oh... my... god" Sora choked out as he pushed Jubilee off of him, "What the hell... WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOUR ARM?!"
"But..." He'd only caught a quick glimpse but it certainly didn't look normal, especially for a human. He was stunned, surely someone with some rare abnormity like that would want to show it off, he would have. A few slurred words escaped his lips, he didn't know exactly what to say until finally he muttered "How...?
Mozenrath recoiled from her reach, taking a few steps away from the other two.
"You asked if I had to give something in return" His eyes remained level with the ground, for some reason he couldn't bring himself to look either of the two in the eyes, "The answer is yes, I did and I do."
(( Right arm xd Not left.

"Shut it," Jubilee said softly, stomping Sora's foot.
She felt something lurch in the pit of her stomach as he stepped away. What was he worried about? She wasn't going to...to call him names or anything. He was acting...ashamed...
She blinked and tried to swallow, realizing there was a huge lump in her throat. She didn't know what to do, but suddenly started moving and was hugging his knees, like she always did, but this time buried her face in his long jacket, as if trying to comfort him, rather then greet him.
"I...I've never been considered abnormal in my family. We're all pretty weird, but...I have this feeling...like from a dream. People upset and yelling and fighting people like me, with..powers. It's ok. I don't care."
She held her hand straight up in the air. "Really." She said, trying to catch his eyes with hers.

"OW!" Sora yelled as he sat down to massage his foot. He hadn't even realized he still held the gauntlet clutched tightly in his hand, but the shock of pain brought his thoughts away from Mozenrath's arm and too his foot. "Someone's being a bully, stepping on my foot!" He muttered angrily, throwing the glove to the ground.
"It's just..."
He sighed deeply, bringing his arm back into view. He clentched his boney hand into a tight fist, his deep blue eyes watching as the bones moved just as they should if was covered in muscle, tendons and flesh.
"I don't know... But you have your magic, that's somewhat normal around these parts. But this?! It shouldn't even be possible."
His eyes caught her's as he forced out the words he'd been avoiding, "... I'm just... just a freak."
