Of the two mentioned, I'd have to say that I like Batman better. He's had a rough life, and he's definitley done something with himself (and his money *cough* who says you can't buy superpowers?) But if it were a fight between the two, Superman would probably win. **shrugs** I do like X Men though. ^___^ I like Storm, and Nightcrawler

... what exactly makes female supers "suck" anyway? Is it for the pure fact that they are female, or is there another reason? Back that observation up please... if you don't mind

You got storm, wonderwoman, etc. Most of there super powers are more passive, just goes to show that our comic book socity is also male dominated.

Just because they have passive super powers doesn't mean that they suck. I mean, Storm can use control the weather and I think thats super cool and VERY powerful. And while some of them really don't have great powers...there are other girls like Rogue who can kill someone just by touching them, and steal their powers--so she can have whatever power she wants.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Isis. Well, she is just basically a Wonder Woman knock-off but...she could do some awesome things.
Can't remember anything she did right at the moment... gonk
Jean Grey has fantastic telekentic powers (making up for her horrible personality. I hate Type A personalities.), Mistique (sp?) can turn into anyone she wants, Batgirl (I really wish she had a better name though) rivals Robin, and there are other female superheros who had awesome powers. Also, the female half of the Wonder Twins got the better power. She could turn into an any animal while her brother could turn into WATER.
Dark is right about the whole male dominated thing. Most superhero comics are done by guys and guys do like making Gary Stus* of themselves.
*Gary Stu is the male version of Mary Sue. A character who is perfect and often is the avatar of the creator. Sometimes called Marty Stu.

Back that observation up please... if you don't mind cause alot of em are just rip offs of male super heroes. wonderwoman is alot like superman, batwoman-batman and the others are ver passice as darkfist said and dont play a huge role or are sorta in the backgrounds.

Dude. Superman isn't even a superhero. He's a demi-god who just happens to use his powers to help people. He could just as easily fly in there and kill people if he wanted to.
Batman is a true example of a literary hero. He struggles. He has moments of doubt. He's experienced a metaphorical "death" and rebirth". Even without powers, he decided that what he wanted to do with his life is help people. And he really deserves credit for that.
As for who would win in fight, well, in the Dark Knight comics, Batman kicked Superman's a**. I forget how though. Kryptonite brass knuckles or something.
