"Just wait untill I get the hang of this area.." Siku muttered, though still in good spirits as she followed behind Kijibwa. "Then you'll see. I'll beat you." She laughed, before quieting down a bit, willingly following after. At this point in time, water and a rest did sound nice. It was a good idea to go by.
"But, yes, a drink sounds wonderful. We hadn't stopped for a while, anyway.." She added, as if to reassure herself. Watching Kijibwa intently, to make sure he wasn't going anywhere without her, she nodded.
"I'm perfectly fine with it."

"You beat me here, you just... crashed into the finish line," he says with another chuckle, "I have no doubts in my mind that you'll adapt well to here, you've shown you're quite capable of change. You're different than you were when I first met you." Kijibwa smiles brightly at her, then turns back to the trees to find something familier to help him find his way to water.
"Yeah, it'll be nice to have water so close after that trip," he agrees, going at a fair pace and looking around at all of the trees.

Though Kijibwa wouldn't see it, because of the fact Siku was somewhat behind him, her cheeks flustered a bright red, tail fluffing up in embarassment. Nodding a bit, she managed a laugh at his earlier comment.
"Yeah, I'm glad you thought of it." She added, trying to get herself to calm down. Why on earth was she so nervous? Kiji had just noticed that she had changed, was all. And commented on it. Was she going to react this way when her family saw her again?
"B..but, you really think I've changed?" Siku asked, wanting to hear a bit more about this. Or maybe she was just thinking too much on it. Who knew?

Kijibwa pauses in his steps and looks carefully around at the trees they are by, then turns to the right and keeps walking. He doesn't look back at Siku to see her embarassment, though he can hear hints of it in her voice. His smile never leaves his face.
"You sure have," he says firmly, but happily, "The little lioness I first met wouldn't have tried so hard in that race, or she wouldn't have turned back to say something. That means, though, she wouldn't have hit a tree, but everyone should go through that at least once."
He glances back at her with a grin.

Managing a laugh, Siku tried to shake the embarasment from her, trying to focus on relaxing and admiring the jungle. As Kijibwa looked back, she looked upwards and around, pretending to suddenly take notice of the trees. They were getting larger and thicker around here.
"..Do the trees keep getting bigger the further you go in?" She asked curiously, deciding to change the subject here and now. Getting more embarassed just didn't seem like the greatest idea.
"That's what it looks like to me."

"Well, the deeper we go into the jungle, the farther we are away from the desert," he explains with a nod, "The farther we are from the desert, the more water there is, so the easier it is for the trees to grow. So they probably are getting bigger and thicker here."
He looks up at the leaves in the trees, reveling in the shade they provided from the sun- something neither lion has had in days. Suddenly the faint sound of water can be heard nearby, and he comes to a stop. With a knowing smile, he turns to Siku.
"Do you hear it?"

"That makes sense.." Siku said, nodding in understanding of his words. It was understandable, really. Creatures thrived in more favorable conditions, and grew to be bigger and stronger. Maybe that was what was happening with her?
Being shaken from her thoughts by Kiji's question, Siku blinked in confusion, looking around curiously. A faint sound did pass her ears, as she attempted to listen more intently. It was a sound that was almost like a very heavy, but far off, rain. That was odd.
"..I do, but.." Looking over to Kiji curiously, she cocked her head to the side, blinking.
"What is it?"

His ears still turned towards the water, he smiles at Siku until she finally comes out of her thoughts and listens. Kiji turns his head in the right direction and then takes a couple steps that way.
"Right this way," he says as an explanation, speeding up a bit and weaving through the trees at a comfortable, managable pace. It's only a short walk before they reach the source of the sound, a thin but very long clearing from the trees with a stream going through it.
"Water," he beams, but his eyes are turned upstream.

Following him slowly through the clearing, Siku looked down at the stream before her, staring in disbelief at it for a moment or so. Very slowly, she hesitantly moved forward, pressing her face close to the water, and flickering her tongue out into it.
This, of course, was not without reprecussion. Jumping back in alarm, Siku hurriedly rushed behind Kijibwa, looking back to the water nervously.
"I..it was moving!! Water doesn't move like that!" She said, before turning a curious glance to Kijibwa.
"..Does it..?"

Kijibwa turns his eyes back from upstream to the lioness, laughing at her reaction to the water. She must be used to just ponds or lakes- still water. He grins mischeviously at her, and nods.
"Oh, it does move like that," he replies, "But just you wait!"
He takes several bouncy steps in the direction he's been watching, fully aware of where he is now. It pays to spend your childhood in the jungle, even if only for moments like this.
"Come this way," Kiji calls back to Siku, continuing along.

Siku, nodding nervously, followed slowly after Kijibwa, keeping a cautious eye on the moving water nearby. Apparently, it was supposed to move like that, but it was still rather odd. Her gaze remained on the stream as she followed along behind Kijibwa, rather hesitant to let it out of her sight. Was it always moving? Did it ever change paths?
Looking up to Kijibwa warily, Siku blinked, wondering where exactly Kijibwa was leading her. He must have had his reasons..
"..What exactly am I waiting for?" She asked curiously, somewhat nervous as to what she was heading to see.

"You'll know when you see it," he replies, his tone eager and playful. There's no doubt in the lion's mind she'd know what she's looking for when she sees it, it'll be hard to miss in fact. The farther they go, the louder the sound of the rushing water seems to become, and they do pass by a pool of water in the midst of the stream, filled by tiny a tiny drop off, and continuing the stream by another.
They don't go far before what Kijibwa is leading her to comes into view upstream, feeding the brook they follow. Amongst the trees is a great cliff, and from the cliff falls a great waterfall that makes the streams it feeds dull in comparison.
When the lion spots it, he grins and glances back to Siku.

Following Kijibwa's gaze over the cliff, Siku's eyes widened in shock and amazement, the young lion falling to a sitting position to absorb the sight lain before her. Mouth agape, she couldn't help but stare for some time at the large amounts of water just.. falling. Turning back to Kijibwa, she fumbled over the words for a moment, only able to gesture toward the waterfall with a subtle head motion.
"W...W..what is it..?" She asked quietly, turning to Kijibwa once more in disbelief.
"T..that much water.. just.. falling.."

He chuckles at Siku's reaction to seeing the waterfall, and circles back around so he's behind her when she sits down. There he stands for a moment while she absorbs the sight, and finally asks about it.
"Well, you'd never guess but it's called a waterfall," Kiji replies brightly, giving her a nudge, "We can go closer, it'll be a good first real stop in the jungle."
Kijibwa is positively beaming. He could not have planned this better, it's just luck that the first water he found was something he knows, leading to something perfect for a first timer to see! Not that crashing into a tree and having moving water wasn't a lot, but this is something else.

"C..closer?!" Siku cried in alarm, spinning from her state of shock to look at Kijibwa wide-eyed. Staring at him in disbelief for a moment, she very shakily looked back toward the waterfall, gulping. It did seem intresting, to be able to see it up close, but still. The idea just seemed rediculous!
"..B..but.. it's so.." pausing, Siku once more tried to think of a word to describe the scene before her, unable to do so from when she first started thinking. Sighing, she shook her head.
"I don't know what it is, except frightening! The thing is huge, what if it's dangerous?" She asked, her worried nature managing to re-surface itself once more.
