I just noticed while looking at the battle screen a few posts up that Edgars Machin is Tools in the english version. There was no swearing in the English SNES version, but I noticed a bit of it in the Playstation version. Someone stole my game before I could finish it however scream The fact that they edited out Starlets clevage is pretty funny since you don't really notice.
As far as the names go. Before I heard the name in Social Studies in school I always called Locke "Lock-e" Untill we read about the guy John Locke. Pronounced like lock. Ive always called Celes "suh-less".
Seems Squaresoft likes norse mythology quite a bit, seeing that they also use Ragnarok, Fenir, and Odin.
I guess that Larshmi you speak of comes from the Hindu religion where her name is Lakshmi The goddes of wealth and beauty which could explain why she looks how she looks.

It's David Murajima's Mythology Slot: Slepnir was an eight-legged horse born of the faintly disturbing union of Loki the Trickster God (in horse form) and the greatest workhorse of the Giants. As an attempt to curry favour, Loki gave Slepnir to Odin.

Wouldn't having eight legs make it a rather pathetic horse?

yeah...they're pubs in Anthology FFVI.....to tell the truth, I don't remember the SNES version enough to tell how much of these things I noticed....though I believe that there are other things that were closer to the japanese version in the Anthology version....

Boberyno Wouldn't having eight legs make it a rather pathetic horse? It was meant to be faster than normal horses due to its extra legs. Go figure.

You don't hear that phrase nearly often enough nowadays.
