You know, I just don't think I'm a hippie. I know I am a deep, caring, Earth-appreciating person who values an open mind and enjoys art such as poetry, but I just can't bring myself to align with a single-interest group like the hippies. I'm not a vegetarian, I am not a pacifist (I believe war between nations sometimes is the only logical solution to a conflict, even if it isn't right) although I do not condone violence, I am agnostic when it comes to religion, I do not do drugs, and I am a highly intellectual individual heading towards a career in science. I guess I can't put myself in the hippie category, now can I? sweatdrop

I don't see myself as a "hippy." My friends call me a hippy but I'm more of a "mountain man." I think they call me a hippy because I don't wear shoes when I don't have to, and don't believe in being something you're not just because it's the medium. And I'm a nature boy.
But, afterall, "hippy" just a word that some people associate with different things that one uses to describe another. So, sure, I guess I am a hippy. I'm a brother, a friend, a son, offensive, lazy, fun, a genuis, attractive, annoying, stupid, white, tall, short, energetic, talented, useless, loving etc.

Basicly it biols down to this: you don't have to do drugs (I myself am a recovering NA addict), you don't have to wear tie-dye (I just wear whatever is clean), however two (really three) things that are core. Peace. Love. The thierd is an intrest in the goverment and it's change (but that's probaly because I'm a poli Sci major)

Yeah, I mean, I've noticed at my school that hippie clothes are becoming the trend, which is... yeah, I'm not sure if it's a good or a bad thing, because, lets face it, I'm sure only about a quarter of those people are actually genuine hippies anyway. Plus I wonder where they actually get their gear from, hippie stuff is kinda hard to come by... I want...

Yeah, the three basics, peace, love, and music. Though tiedye clothes are awesome! plus I'm a bit of a... well... a full on pacifist. Bit dodgy with a brother like mine though, but oh well, what can I do?
