These are the 2 that really matter to me, my blue RG 7620 and my Cosmic Blue (Darker color) RG 1527. The 1527 looks really dark here. Its the one w/ the stripe on the neck. Within a few months they will hopefully be joined by a UV7BK RG 7620's been slightly modified. Had all the electronics ripped out and replaced, put in a 3 way switch, new knobs, put in a tremsetter, and got that cool little wrench thingy on the headstock. Has a DiMarzio Blaze in the bridge position. RG 1527 is stock. RG7620 is strung w/ 10-60 guage strings, tuned ADGCFAD RG1527 is strung with 9-54 guage, tuned BEADGBE.

I got a steal on my RG7620, i got it on ebay for 375 W/ Case. Usually i see them go for about 400-500 now, without case. haha lol. They used to sell new for about 800-1000$. My RG1527, i paid 600$ for, give or take. I ordered it brand new.

THanks I'm gonna do some more stuff to the 7620 today. i got new studs for the bridge, cause the ones that came in it had the locking feature taken out, so i got some new studs that have it so the bridge will be waaay more stable. The previous owner threw out the locking mechanism cause he didnt know how to use it. Its really cool. The studs (The little posts the bridge sits against)have this bolt that puts counter pressure on the anchor fo the bolt which gives lots of resistance upwards, holding the stud in place, and making it very solid, thus improving the tuning. They dont do this on newer guitars, and i 'm going to have to modify my RG1527 so it has Locking studs.

Thats strange. Did they cancel it?

I wouldn't really want to dish out a lot of cash for a guitar. I'd rather get one from Warmoth or something. I made a strict promise to myself that I would never pay more than $800 dollars on a guitar.

Assuming i had the money, i would never spend more than 2000$. I'm saving for a Ibanez Universe. If i order it new, it'll be 1500$ or so. If i get a used one, it'll be from 500-1000$
Edit: BTW- those prices are list prices. They never sell for list. Most people sell them 70-80% of that price. Like, a Universe LISTS at 2029$ i think but like i said, the actual cost to me would be about 1500$.

They only guitar I would get thats way above $1000 dollars is this A washburn NX6, or this one. A B.C Rich V

Well, aside from the universe, the only thing i'd do is get a custom guitar built. If you're goin for 2 grand, you can get one built to your specs by, like lgmguitars.com or EKGguitars.com . (Check out their websites, they got awesome designs. )
