My dad told me, and he asked me if I knew Syd Barrett. I was like, "Of course! He's one of the main founders of PF and a musical genius." And then my dad told me he died. I was so sad... I had to look it up to see if it was true, and unfortunately, it is.
Shine on, Syd. RIP.

I had ordered his solo albums not too long before his death, and they actually just came a few days ago. (They're basically all I've been listening to.) When I heard about it... yeah, I was really sad. I guess in a way it was probably a release for him, but then who are we to know how he felt about anything?
Rest in peace, Syd, hope heaven is treating you well. heart
