Rhia's diary entry; written in perfect, swirling cursive
Ah, how I love surprises. Not to mention diaries, but we'll skip the diary bit since I'm at least writing in this damn thing. Neko stopped by the other day, and after numerous attempts to get me while at home, he succeeded. Yes, he. It seems that Neko somehow turned into a man, though I'm still unclear as to how this happened, I'll have to ask him about it sometime.

But back to the visit. He brought along a friend of his, Tahki, who's a small fairy of some sort, called a feien I believe. She's... unique. I don't want to write down any negative remarks about her, because she was very friendly and you can't help but like her, though if I ever had someone like that living with me, I assure you I would go insane. The sad thing is, I may end up with a feien like Tahki.

While Neko was over here he asked me to hold out my hand, and against my better judgment, I did. Which, for future reference, I will never do again. Before I could say anything he had dropped this odd colored mushroom into my hand. 'Lo and behold, it was one of Tahki's offspring. The horrors I'm to face in the next months if the bloom turns out to be like her, I cannot even begin to comprehend. Neko told me a little about the feien, and basically most of it was nothing common sense wouldn't have informed me of later on, though I prompted this information just to make sure I didn't do anything stupid. We chatted for a little, mainly about the "bloom", and Tahki seemed to like my piercings. Along with my ears and wings. I think she found my ears and wings interesting because hers are similar. I've personally never found my ears attractive, they remind me too much of a dog's; floppy and almost constantly twitching and swinging back and forth. Though they're pointed... and they don't have hair. I was fond of the ears my old body had, but what can one do? I'm stuck with these, but I'll admit, it is kind of nice to hear someone say they like my ears. And I've found that since Tahki commented on them, they're more tolerable.

But I'm getting off topic, back to the mushroom. Neko told me that it's from a cold and an earth feien, which means it may not like the sunlight. Thank the gods for that, I abhor sunlight and keep the curtains over my windows at all times. I have to think of a name for the thing, which I've already come up with a few. Oddly enough, I'm kind of looking forward to seeing what the feien will look like, and how it will act. Though if it's anything like Tahki I don't know what I’m going to do. I'm thinking about leaving it in the spare room upstairs in a pot of dirt for awhile. There's nothing in there, and it's almost always completely dark, which makes it rather cold. If its element is cold, it should appreciate the atmosphere, right? And if it's earth, well... hence the pot filled with potting soil. At the moment, the mushroom is sitting on the nightstand in my bedroom, in the pot. My room is dark and quiet, but I think I left some music playing, will that have any effect on it I wonder? Tonight I'm going to leave it on the seat of my bay window to see if moonlight has any effect on it. I rather like the moonlight, though it's a little too bright for my tastes (when the moon is full, that is). I’m hoping none of this will harm the mushroom. I hate to admit it, but I think I'd feel bad if I did anything that would damage or have a negative effect on the little thing.

Ugh, is this new body turning me soft?

Experiments:

Soft music (Dralion soundtrack): No effect.
Pot with potting soil: Seemed to enjoy this.
Dark, cool room: No effect.
Moonlight: No effect.

Rhia's diary entry; written in perfect, swirling cursive
Well, the mushroom is in the room upstairs again, in the pot, close to the window. Since the sunlight is hitting the other side of my house at the moment, I figured I'd open the window and let some fresh air in. There's a nice, cool breeze coming through at the moment, and it's still pretty dark in there, so it should be happy?

I promised Tahki I'd bring over my new feien when it arrived, that seemed to please her. Of course, everything seemed to please her that was in any way - no matter how remote - involved with the little mushroom. She seems to be quite fond of it, and I'm kind of hoping I don't do anything that may screw up the little bloom and upset her.

Neko is now gone I believe, she left yesterday (or was it today?), so that leaves me alone with this thing. Not that I mind, but if I had any questions about it I couldn't go asking anyone. Well, I suppose I could ask Tahki, but I don't really want to do that. She may be nice and more than willing to help, but I have a feeling that maybe eight times out of ten she'd hinder more than she would help.

Ah, I think this thing is already driving me over the edge, I seem to be a tad bit jumpy lately, plus I keep thinking about the damn thing and always checking on it. I don't remember being this way with my daughter, but then again, I don't remember a whole lot from that time in my life to begin with. I'm getting off track again, back to the mushroom.

I think I'll get a washcloth and dampen it with some cool water, then wrap the mushroom in it. Just for the hell of it, and not for very long, I know it's not a water feien or whatever, but it'll be such a small amount of water I doubt (or hope?) anything will happen. I'm also going to see if anything happens with some movies. Neko said feien blooms sometimes responded to things like that, so why not? I don't have a whole lot of movies, but just one or two should be good. I wonder if it matters what the movies are rated?

Experiments:

Cool breeze: The shroom seems to have lost the luster it got from being in the pot...
Movies (Star Wars Trilogy, Underworld, Taking Lives): No effect.
Water dampened rag: The shroom didn't seem to like this at all!

Rhia's diary entry; written in perfect, swirling cursive
Oh s**t, that's not good. The washcloth seemed to hurt the little guy. It's got wrinkles on it now... and the color is a little dull. Damnit, I just knew I'd screw this up somehow. Well, since it liked the potting soil I put it back in there, and it seems to be recovering somewhat. I hope I didn't do irreparable harm to it, I know Tahki would be upset.

Come to think of it, I'm a little upset too. I hope it'll be okay. I'm not quite sure how I'd break it to Neko or Tahki if I killed it... well, if these things can be killed, that is. I'd rather not find out the answer to that question though...

It seems to like the dirt quite a bit, I think I have an experiment in mind that it might like. Gods, I hope it likes it. That'd be just like my luck if this experiment hurts it again...

Experiments:

Back in the pot with the potting soil: Seemed to recover some from the washcloth incident.
Stalk buried in the potting soil, top uncovered: Liked this alot, the wrinkles are gone completely.

Note: Even though this post was reserved on the 16th, the diary entry itself was written up and entered on the 17th.

Rhia's diary entry; written in perfect, swirling cursive
Well, now that the shroom (I don't think I could bring myself to call it a bloom, it seems too... inaccurate) seems to have recovered, I'm not sure I want to perform anymore experiments on it. From the ones I've performed so far, it seems to like dirt quite a bit, perhaps it's earth and not cold, or a mixture of both. I really can't tell, since I haven't performed too many cold experiments on it.

I'm tempted to go and visit Neko's, to tell Tahki that the shroom is doing fine and maybe ask her some questions about other experiments I could try, but I doubt that's necessary. And there's no point in telling her that I kind of hurt it with two of my experiments, as it seems to be perfectly happy right now. It's in the pot, the stalk still buried; it seems to enjoy this more than just sitting atop the soil.

I'll have to pay Talon a visit someday, but maybe after the feien arrives, that way I can take it with me and he can see it. We can stop off at Neko's on the way so Tahki can meet her offspring as well. Hopefully (but doubtfully) Neko will be back by then, so he (or she?) can meet the new feien as well. I wonder if feien families are the same as human families. Maybe they won't care about the feien once she arrives, like some demon races, but that seems highly unlikely in Tahki's case. I don't know a whole lot about feien at the moment, but I'm sure she'll be thrilled to see it. Since I don't yet know Talon (or his bond), I can't say if he'd like to get to know the feien, but I like to think that he would.

I'd like to perform more experiments on it, but I don't know what to do at the moment. I'm trying to think up things that are earth related, but I don't have anything at the moment. When I do I'll add it to the bottom of this page like I did the others. I don't want to hurt it again, so I'm going to try and stick with things that involve dirt, maybe cold. I wonder if atmosphere would have any effect on it, like humidity or musty air. Maybe I could try that, the closet upstairs is pretty stale... I haven't cleaned it out in awhile. Come to think of it, why do I even have that closet?

Anyway, since it's a mushroom and not a flower, maybe it'll like the humidity. And most plants like sunlight, and since I'm leaning towards it not being a cold feien, maybe it would like that? Neko said try to avoid it, but if it's earth it may not be so bad, so I'll stick it out on the porch for a little bit, where it's bright and a little warm. I'm hoping it'll like this, or at the very least it won't mind any of it. I'm going to try one more thing related to the cold, just to see. If it doesn't like this, I think it's pretty safe to say that it's strictly an earth feien. If something happens to it from this one, I'll most likely bury the stalk in potting soil again and just leave it that way until the feien arrives...

Experiments:

Sunlight and warmth (from sun): Not good. The wrinkles came back.
Humidity and stale/earthy air (much like a greenhouse effect): It seemed to like this a little, the wrinkles lessened.
Back in the pot with potting soil (stalk buried): Still likes this, the wrinkles are pretty much gone.
Leaving it in the freezer for a little while: No change, the wrinkles are still slightly visible.

Rhia's diary entry; written in perfect, swirling cursive
Not good. It appears that the shroom is still feeling a little 'under the weather' so to speak. Even spending the night in the pot with the potting soil didn't seem to get rid of the wrinkles completely. It seems that maybe I've injured it permanently? Or maybe it will just stay this way until the feien itself arrives. I hope the little guy will be okay. Neko said that it takes most feien about a week or two to arrive, so I think my feien might be here soon. I'm looking forward to this event with mixed feelings, because on one hand it would be nice to have someone else in the house with me, but on the other hand I don't want that someone to be like Tahki. As I've stated before, I don't know how well I'd be able to live with someone so hyper and bubbly. But then again, if my feien did turn out that way I wouldn't really have a choice, would I?

My friend, Arreat, visited early this morning. She seems to be doing fine, I'm going to go into any details on what happened between us, but it seems to be getting better for her. Which puts some of my worry to rest, I care for her a great deal and since it was all my fault in the first place, I felt very out of character for awhile with the guilt and worry I had from the whole ordeal. I don't think her 'friends' are bugging her too much about the... mark, except for maybe Dalner. From what she's told me of him, I don't like him. At all. And trust me, it's not a good thing when you're on my bad side. I have the urge to talk her into letting me meet with him, but I know she's smarter than that. I'd probably kill him if given half the chance.

I left a message on Neko's answering machine this morning after Arreat left, I figure when she gets back she'll want to know what's going on. I did mention that I fooled around with the experiment concept, and that the shroom didn't take too well to some. I think I even mentioned that the shroom is still a little unhappy, but hopefully that'll change soon. I don't plan on doing anymore experiments, I'm just going to let it sit in the soil and wait for the feien to come. I'm sure it'll be fine, it's not like the things that I did seemed to seriously hurt it, right? Right.

Note: For those of you who have no clue as to what earbuds are, they're those little tiny earphones that just sit right inside your ear, instead of the big gigantic ones most people use. The big ones sound better, yes, but Rhia can't use those due to the way her ears are made, so she has to settle for the earbuds. :3

Rhia was lying in her bed, a book open in her lap and earbuds sitting in her large ears. The book was rather big, about 11"x8" and 3" thick, and it seemed to be bound in dark, coppery leather, or something close to it. The spine of the book was bound with a thick, black-brown cord and the pages of the book were rather thick. There was a latch on the front of the book, in the shape of a pentagram, that was locked most of the time and kept everyone from reading it.

Though her CD player's volume was turned down nearly all the way and the music was barely audible, she could hear it quite well. It was almost too loud, but not loud enough to block out the sound from downstairs. Her head snapped up as there was a loud thump and her ears twitched. She narrowed her eyes and closed the book, the latch instantly locking with a soft click as she set it onto the bed and swung her legs over the edge. There was a softer thump following shortly after the first one, and she sighed softly. Pulling the tiny earbuds from her ears, she stood and tossed the CD player next to the book before heading out of her room and down the hall. She mumbled to herself about perhaps leaving a window open somewhere as she adjusted her sunglasses and descended the stairs.

She entered the kitchen first and looked around, finding nothing out of place. She peered into the pantry and got the same results. Pursing her lips, she crossed the hallway to the living room and stepped just beyond the archway; putting her hands on her hips and blowing some of her two-tone hair away from her face. Didn't look like anything was wrong here either, could she have imagined the noises? She was about to head back up to her room when she froze; something on the other side of the coffee table catching her eye. It couldn't be...

Rhia silently hurried over to the small table, already knowing what it was even before the scattered dirt came into view. The pot, the pot with her mushroom in it, lay upside down on the carpet; potting soil spread out on the floor around it. Oh ********... something had knocked it off the table! She knelt down and gingerly picked up the mushroom that was half covered with the soil. She gently brushed the dirt away and then smoothed her hand over the top of it, feeling her stomach drop to somewhere below her navel. The 'bloom' had lost some of its coloring; the white had taken on a hint of yellow and the red a dark brownish color. Perhaps more importantly was the fact that the little thing had become a little flaccid looking, though it was hard and dry to the touch. Somehow, she didn't think it was going to recover this time...

Her tail flicked to and fro as she sighed softly, running her free hand through her hair again. This was great, just ******** peachy! She had already hurt the thing twice, and now something else had happened and it wasn't even her fault this time! She growled softly and reached for the pot, intending on sticking the mushroom back into the soil until she had a chance to see if there was something she could do. Maybe this time she should take it over to Neko's house, maybe Tahki could help. When her fingers wrapped around the bottom of the pot (which was at the moment the top) and her palm covered the drainage hole, something moved around inside the pot. It sounded like there was a good amount of soil still under there, because there was a soft scraping noise followed by what sounded like digging...

Rhia blinked and her left brow arched above her sunglasses. Maybe whatever had gotten into the house had thought the mushroom was food and had knocked the pot over, accidently getting trapped under it? Whatever it was it was small, but she didn't care. She carefully set the mushroom onto the table and curled her now free hand into a fist, preparing to crush whatever the hell is was that had knocked the pot off the table. Be it squirrel, chipmunk, rat, mouse or some other vermin, she was going to smash it with her bare hand. It was going to die for hurting her mushroom.

She lifted the pot and raised her fist, but froze for the second time when her gaze landed on a pair of small, dirt covered bat wings. White, dirt covered bat wings. She was confused for a moment, and then something dawned on her. Could this be...?

"Help!"

A small voice could be heard from under the pile of soil, and a second later two arms appeared and heaved a head and small body out of the mound. The little creature - Rhia was almost positive is was her feien - shook its head and coughed weakly. A small spike of black hair stuck almost straight up from the front of the feien's head, and as she moved it bobbed up and down ever so slightly. She. The demon blinked as a small smile came to her lips. Her feien was a she, and she was... small. Really small, about half the size of Tahki. The little feien pulled the majority of her legs out before sitting down, rather heavily, on the pile of dirt; her ankles and feet the only things left buried. She turned bright, emerald eyes up to Rhia and behind her grave expression passed one of uncertainty.

"Are you alright?" Rhia asked softly, tilting her head a little.

"Y-yes," The feien said as she brushed the dirt from her shoulders. "Thank you for removing the pot. It fell on me."

"How on earth did you manage to get the pot to fall off the table?"

The feien looked confused for a moment and stared straight ahead, contemplating the question. "Well... I'm not entirely sure how it happened. I didn't mean to make the pot fall, of course, but I think it was already hanging off the edge a little bit. When I leaned over to look down it fell."

"I guess that makes sense, but you're kinda small to get a pot to fall like that, even if it had been hanging over the edge."

"Well, that's what I think happened." The feien narrowed her eyes slightly. "You shouldn't ask people questions if you're not going to accept their honest answers."

"You're right, and I believe you. So... I guess you're the mushroom feien, then?"

"Excuse me?"

"You're a feien, right?"

"Yes."

"So you're my feien, the one that came from the mushroom." Rhia studied the small creature with obvious curiosity. The feien brushed the dirt from her hair as best she could and then stood up, wobbling a bit on the uneven dirt before gaining her balance and looking back up at the demoness. Her bright eyes seemed to change for a moment, and her brow furrowed.

"What are those?"

Rhia blinked, "What?"

The feien raised one arm and pointed at the side of Rhia's head, then thought twice about that and moved her hand so it pointed at Rhia's lower lip. Or more accurately, the piercings there. "Those. The things on your face and ears."

"Oh," Rhia smiled, causing the feien's eyes to widen slightly at the sight of her huge fangs. "They're jewelry, my piercings. I'm not exactly sure how to explain them, but yes, I have a few."

"A few?" The feien frowned slightly and she looked over her supposed bond. This gave Rhia another chance to look her feien over. She still couldn't really believe that this was her feien, that she was here already. It hadn't seemed real when Neko had given her the mushroom; deep down Rhia hadn't fully believed that the plant would ever turn into something like Tahki. But now, looking at the small, serious yet pretty feien in front of her, she finally realized just what it was she had agreed to take on. But from the look on the feien's face, it was safe to say that she wasn't quite as hyper as Tahki, if hyper at all.

"What the hell is that?" Rhia queried after a moment, indicating the long, spiky piece of hair. The feien blinked and looked from the demon's exotic wings back to her face.

"Swearing isn't polite, you know."

Rhia's mouth quirked and she arched one brow, "I'll swear whenever I ******** please, and no one will tell me otherwise."

The feien looked slightly chagrined and she spread her wings a little, but merely said, "What is what?"

"That thing, on your head."

The little feien's cheeks turned a slight pink and she reached up to try and flatten the hair onto her head, but only succeeded in making Rhia chuckle as it sprang back up the moment she moved her hand away. Her chest puffed for a moment and she seemed a little insulted, "It's my hair, of course! It's... it's not my fault that it doesn't stay down!"

"Of course it isn't, I didn't mean to upset you, I think it's cute." Rhia shook her head a little and decided to move on to something else. "So what's your name?"

"My name?" The feien seemed to calm down relatively fast. She straightened her shoulders and clasped her hands behind her back, the spike in her hair pointing forwards slightly as she bowed her head just a bit. "I haven't really thought of one."

"You don't have a name?"

"No."

Rhia realized she was still holding the pot and she set it onto the table. "Well, you have to have a name, right?"

"Yes, I suppose I do."

"Do you have any in mind?"

The feien looked down at her still buried feet for a moment, deep in thought. She frowned at the dirt streaks on her legs and torso, but looked back up at Rhia and shrugged lightly, "I don't really have one that I like a lot. How about you suggest some to me?"

Rhia reached up and gently tugged on her ear before answering. She did have a couple of names that she liked, but would the feien like them as well? She had tried coming up with nice names that had something to do with the earth, since that's what she thought her feien was, but she had also come up with a few that were just pretty.

"How about Terra?"

The feien looked skeptical.

"Demeter?"

"Definitely not."

"Alright, perhaps earth names are a bad idea. Hmm... Adrienne?"

The feien crossed her arms over her chest and shook her head.

"Come on, at least help me out a little here."

"Well, I think I'd like a name that starts with an A. The names you said are nice, but I don't like them enough to want to be called any of them."

"Okay, A names. A names... Avangelyne?"

The feien blinked and her brows drew together as she thought it over. A small smile finally broke her somber expression and she nodded once, seeming pleased. "I like that one a lot."

"Avangelyne?"

"Yes."

"So that's it, then?"

"Yes. My name will be Avangelyne."

"Okay. Welcome to my home, Avangelyne." Rhia smiled down at the newly named feien, and she smiled back. Perhaps this wouldn't be so bad after all…

Rhia stood and turned away from Avangelyne, heading across the living room to a small desk in one corner. The feien blinked and watched her go before lifting her feet out - shaking the dirt off them - and she spread her wings, as if to take flight, but stopped. She looked around for a moment and then back over at Rhia, who had a phone in one hand.

"What are you doing?" The feien said a little loudly, hoping she'd be heard all the way across the living room. Rhia heard her perfectly, and she held up one hand for a moment as she punched in a number. She put the phone to her ear and gave her new housemate a reassuring smile.

"I'm calling a friend of mine and leaving them a message. Neko will want to know that you're here."

Rhia's diary entry; written in perfect, swirling cursive
Well, my feien arrived today. She's really pretty, though her hair is... weird. There's this one part that sticks up, and she can't get it to stay down. She's rather polite, though she can be a tad bit rude at times. Though I'm used to dealing with people worse than her, so it doesn't really bother me. I'm sure it'll wear off shortly though, she just has to get used to me. I'm a rather hard person to get along with, I can get many people to agree with me on that.

I called Neko right after I found Ava and left her a message. I'm hoping she'll get in touch with me soon, though I think she's still off on her "journey". I hope she gets back soon, and in one piece, Ava won't admit it, but I think she's a little lonely being the only feien in the household. Plus she wants to meet her mother, and her father and her siblings if we can find them.

She seems a little too... sober to be Tahki's offspring, so it's a little surprising to see her the way she is. I wonder if she gets her personality from her father. Only one way to find out, right? Maybe I'll have to talk to Neko about it, since obviously she knows Ava's father.

Ava's diary entry; written in small, block letters by a slightly quavering hand
Rhia says that I get to write in the diary too, though I'm not sure what I'm going to write about. I feel a little foolish writing personal stuff in a book, but if Rhia does it, I suppose it can't be too bad.

Speaking of Rhia, she's very strange. Nice a lot of the time, but it's a tolerable sort of nice, I get the feeling that she may not like me as much as she tolerates me. I really like her wings, and her tail, and her ears are nice too. And her piercings are very pretty, I haven't been able to count them all yet, she won't sit still long enough for me to do that, and I think I'd be embarrassed in asking her.

She told me a little about her friend Neko, she said that my mom lives with her friend. Tahki (that's my mom's name) is, according to Rhia, very hyper and sometimes hard to stand. But she says that my mom is pretty, and though she's hyper she’s really nice. She doesn't know anything about my dad yet, but she told me that she's trying to get in touch with him or his bonder (I'm not sure if that's what they're called). She also says that I have siblings, though she's not sure how many because Neko never told her that. I'd really like to meet them all someday, but Rhia says I have to be patient. I already know that I'm more patient than her...

Rhia's diary entry; written in perfect, swirling cursive
This is turning out exactly like I thought it would. Well, more on the opposite end of the spectrum I think. I figured my feien would be hyper and crazy, but she turned out to be quiet and serious. And rude too.

Not that Ava is rude all the time, but she gets into these little moods where she "just wants to be left alone", and when I try to get her upbeat again (as upbeat as someone as serious as her can be) she tells me to go away. I try to tolerate her, I try to be polite to her. Hell, I even try to be nice to her, be her friend. She's just impossible to deal with sometimes, and it's really starting to piss me off.

I hate to say that, but it's true. I don't want to show up at Neko's when she returns and be at odds with my feien, the feien she gave me, but it may turn out to be like that.

Ava's diary entry; written in small, block letters
Rhia hates me.

(That seems to be the only thing written in the entry, but then a few lines below that the entry is restarted)

Ava's diary entry; written in small, block letters

Okay, let me rephrase that. I think she doesn't like me. She's acting like my friend one minute, and then she's silent and brooding the next. I don't understand her!

I bet no one can tell she acts like that by just looking at her. She looks very... serene, not to mention beautiful (even with all those metal things in her lip and ears). But once you get to know her, she's cruel and mean. Alright, so maybe I exaggerated that part a little, but she is mean sometimes.

(That seems to be the end of the entry again, but a few lines below it continues)

Ava's diary entry; written in small, block letters
Okay, so she's not mean mean. But she won't let me go outside by myself, and she won't take me to meet any other feien. She says that it's because the only person she knows that has a feien is Neko, and Neko is gone right now. She says there's a shop or something that feien and their bonds can go to, but she isn't sure where that is. I can understand that, I really can, but if she knows where Neko lives and if they're as good of friends as Rhia states, why can't she go over there when Neko's away?

But it doesn't matter. I don't want to meet my family or become friends with them or other feien anymore. I just want to be left alone. Forever.

(Once again, something else is written a few lines down)

Ava's diary entry; written in small, block letters
Well, maybe I do want to meet my family still. But I wouldn't care if I didn't. Honestly, how would they treat me when they saw this thing on my head? The same way Rhia treats me, she teases me about it sometimes. Now that is just cruel, she knows I don't like to be teased, and yet she continues to do so. I wish she wouldn't, but I can't stop her.

Rhia's diary entry; written in perfect, swirling cursive
I came across the feien shop a little while ago (it's not that hard when you know what you're looking for), and I told Ava about it. Naturally, she wanted to go right away, and I consented. She's at the door waiting right now, I just thought I'd write a quick entry in here about this.

I'm hoping there'll be other feien there for her to meet, at least one. I can't be sure, since we're not the best of friends, but I think she's a little excited about getting to go. Since it's a shop, it must have some sort of things it sells, right? Maybe they've got things for feiens (I would hope they do), so I'll look and see if maybe there's something there that can break the ice, so to speak.

RP took place September 24th
Magiale entered the empty shop, a golden-colored feien hiding behind one of her pigtails. She frowned slightly as she looked around, a bit disappointed at the shop's emptiness.
"Well, Raphy, I guess we missed the crowd again."
"Thats okay..." he replied. Raphael truly did not want to actually have to meet any other feien, but at the same time he didn't want his owner to be disappointed.
"Hmm...We'll just wait! It's not the middle of the night or the early morning, there's bound to be someone coming by."
She gave a bright smile and sat down in one of the chairs.

Rhia stepped into the shop and looked around, her eyes hidden by the thick sunglasses she always wore. Her tail flicked back and forth as she spotted someone sitting at the far end of the shop, but she didn't say anything to them. Her mouth quirked slightly and she ruffled the feathers of her wings.

"We're here, Ava." She said softly to what seemed her shoulder. She walked over to one of the empty chairs and sat down, fully expecting Ava to take off and explore their surroundings.

Ava immediately poked her head around Rhia's large ear and whipped it about, trying to take everything in at the same time. She was a little nervous about being here, she had never been away from home before, but she was also excited. Even if there weren't any feien here, it was someplace new, and she liked that idea. Her green eyes landed on the figure sitting and she froze, her brow furrowing.

The feien stayed right where she was, even after Rhia sat down. Slowly, she hopped from her bond's shoulder to the table; her wings opening and flapping once to keep her from falling too fast. She still landed on the table with a soft thud, and the slight wince across her face made it apparent that she had landed harder than intended. She stood on the table in front of Rhia, studying the girl in the shop with them but making no move to greet her.

Magiale watched Rhia sit down in the chair with interested curiosity. Then, after the person had settled herself, she stood and moved towards the two, a smile on her face. Raphael started squirming from where he was on her shoulder, torn on what he should be doing. He eventually chose a shy smile, his eyes refusing to meet those of anyone else.
“Hi!” She said cheerfully, a hand extended to shake.
“My name is Magiale and this is Raphael!” Her free hand pointed at the feien hiding on her shoulder.
“We were waiting for someone to come! Your Feien is really pretty.”
She continued babbling, not noticing that with each word she spoke Raphael's shy blush deepened.

Rhia looked up and arched a brow at the girl, but simply said, "I'm Rhia."

She reached out and gently flicked the little feien on the table, making her stumble forwards. When Ava glared back at her, Rhia smiled, her lip piercings twinkling.

Ava swallowed hard and turned back to the pair, her eyes glued to the feien on Mag's shoulder. Her wings came forward a bit to encircle her body, and her hand absently went up to the spike of hair above her forehead, trying to flatten it out but failing. "Hi... I'm Ava, nice to meet you."

"Kora, please focus," came an exhasperated voice as a demon stepped into the shop, one hand reaching up to pull the buzzing fairy closer to him. "Keeping you out of coffee pots is bad enough, I don't need you flying into something worse in here..."

Yes, Shiromaru and Koralu had come to the feien shop for the first time.

Fear.

Koralu paid Shiro no heed, and one might be forced to wonder if Kora even heard him at all, the way the curious feien buzzed down to one table, settling there to look around. Sighing softly, Shiro cast apologetic glances to Magiale and Rhia, then slipped past them. Koralu was having a 'bad focus day,' apparently...

Rhia crossed her arms and sat back in her chair, content to remain silent and simply watch over Ava. She didn't really like socializing, and it was probably apparent in her annoyed expression. Her spade tipped tail came up and coiled in her lap, while her wings relaxed a little. She tilted her neck to the left, then to the right, listening to the soft cracking noises it made as she watched Ava. The poor thing looked pretty freaked out.

Ava stood frozen to the spot, her emerald eyes wide and locked on the newest feien. She whirled around and looked back at Raphael, then over to Koralu again, looking utterly baffled. Two feiens? Two at once? Was it possible to talk to both of them at one time? They didn't look like they knew each other... she had never been engaged in a three-way conversation before.

She slowly sank to her knees on the table, her hand still on her head, covering the black cowlick. What should she say? She had no clue, she'd never met another feien before... of course she was only four days old, but still, what did feien talk about? She looked to Raphael, then back to Koralu, torn between the two. She should say something, she knew it, but it was a little unsettling to find more than one feien here at the shop. Maybe she shouldn't have come...

Well, it was back to the Feien shop for Irisa to take a break from her research. Jaes dropped her off, but he seldom came into the shop, himself. He said that if she screamed, he'd come running over though.

Why Irisa would scream, she didn't know. Unless Jaes meant that there were actually things in the shop that would try to hurt her? Hmm. Course, she had yet to meet an evil Feien (really, if even a vampire Feien wasn't evil, Irisa wasn't sure what could be, but she supposed it was good to keep an open mind, regardless).

So Irisa flew into the shop and happily greeted the other Feien.

"Hello, everyone! My name's Irisa. I'm kind of new here. It's very nice to meet all of you, though."

At that moment, Irisa noticed that the Feien with the green eyes, markings the same red color as her sister, and wings the same type and white color as her wings (well, half the color since she was dual colored) seemed... rather troubled.

"Er... is something wrong?" Irisa blinked.

Ava visibly jolted as a third feien arrived, asking her a question. She stood and turned to the newcomer, her hand lowering from her head and her cowlick springing back up. She swallowed, cleared her throat, then swallowed again and tried to look calm.

"No, no..." She cleared her throat again, getting rid of the slight tremor it held. "I'm fine. It's my first time to the shop, that's all."

She gave Rhia a glance, and felt a familiar stab of annoyance at the smirk her bond wore on her dark lips. She was enjoying the little feiens discomfort! Unbelievable, simply unbelievable. Well, Rhia wouldn't be able to hold this over her head, she'd show the demon!

"My name is Avangelyne, Ava for short." She gave the dual colored feien a small smile. "What's your name?"

"Oh, my name is Irisa. It's very nice to meet you, Ava." Irisa calmly but cheerfully remarked with a smile of her own. ""So you're new? I'm pretty new, myself. This is only my second shop visit, actually. There weren't this many Feien in the shop at that time, though."

Irisa shrugged slightly as she looked at Ava. Something seemed to click. She tilted her head and peered at Avangelyne attentively. Green eyes, familiar red markings, same wing color, and a Feien that was probably rather new...

The pieces of the puzzle were coming together somewhat quickly in her mind, but then the other part of her mind that payed attention to reality whallopped her, making her realize that she was probably giving Ava some rather strange stares. So she quickly stopped and regained her more normal less task-minded composure.

Magiale turned away from Rhia and moved towards Ava, concerned.
“My, are you alright?” She asked.

Raphael climbed down from Magiale’s shoulder, clear evidence that he was not comfortable with flying in front of others. He really didn’t want to say anything or bother anyone, but he wanted to be nice at least.
He moved away from the group Magiale was being all concerned over and instead walked over to Koralu, politeness turning to curiosity as he noticed the Feien’s distracted glances.
“Hello…” He started, hoping to catch the feien’s attention.

Ava blinked her wide eyes at Irisa as the other feien studied her. She clasped her hands in front of her and shifted her weight to one foot, feeling rather uncomfortable with the silent assessment the two-tone feien was conducting of her. She felt her cheeks grow slightly warm, and the feeling spread down her neck and along her face.

Great, she was blushing.

"Y-yes, I'm new," She said quietly, not entirely sure what else to say. "I've never seen any other feien before, this is my first time. It's a little... overwhelming, I didn't expect there to be so many. And we all look so different..."

She looked back over to Raphael, then to Koralu, her eyes lingering on him a bit longer than the others. He had no hair at all, and his wings were very odd. He was... really pretty, she realized suddenly. She averted her gaze from him and looked back at the girl that was with Raphael, her eyes blinking rapidly. She watched Raphael for a moment before looking back up at Mag, "Yes... yes, I'm fine."

Koralu blinked over at Raphael, then offered a sweet little smile. "Hi." His wings buzzed again for a moment, then settled again, glancing up as Shiromaru took a deep breath and stepped back.

The demon had to let Koralu make his own friends, after all.

After a moment, the feien glanced up at Raphael again, head tilted to the side curiously. "What's your name? I'm Koralu." He missed Ava's glances completely.

Raphael smiled as well, relaxing a bit as Koralu seemed like a nice enough feien.
"I'm Raphael." he replied. Then, imitating Magiale, he held his hand out for a handshake.
"N-nice to meet you."
He still blushed, but at least he felt he was getting more used to this meeting new feien thing.

"That's good." Magiale smiled, looking relieved.

Avangelyne seemed... nervous. Irisa couldn't blame her, really, after that stare-down she accidentally gave the other Feien. But it didn't seem like Avangelyne cared too much for talking.

Which... was actually sort of like Irisa, herself, really. She did enjoy making friends, and especially around Nero became really talkative, but usually she tried not to waste words or time talking unless it was to get something accomplished.

Still, all the similarities made her feel that she had a bond with Ava. Not the kind of magical bond that she had with her bond, Jaes, but... another type of bond. An emotional one, maybe.

"Yea, I know how it is." Irisa remarked, a bit more softly, glancing off to the side. "Already, I've seen all sorts of different colored Feien, and even one that had a vampirical look, which was really unique."

She sincerely smiled a bit at Ava.

"They really do look so different." she added. "I think with so many Feien, I could watch and research them all for hours on end."

...hey, maybe that could be one of her other research projects. But... Irisa didn't want to research Avangelyne to her face any more. She was being rude enough already. Although speaking of which,

"Well, actually, besides the dual-tone, we're pretty similar, though. I mean, you have green eyes just like I do. And white wings like I do. And the same wing type!" she commented, trying to cheer Avangelyne up by reducing the intimidation factor of... well, everything. ""In fact, it's almost like we're related."

..............so much for reducing the intimidation factor.

"Which... we may very well be." Irisa blinked.

Hand out? Oh! Handshake! Koralu had seen his bond do that with other people. Like that nice foxcoon lady whose name he couldn't remember. He peered at Raphael's hand for a moment, then reached out and shook it, perhaps one time too many. "Koralu. Happy to meet you, Raphael."

Shiromaru sighed in relief as he watched his feien, then wandered over to the other bonds in the shop, offering a faint little smile. "Hey there. I'm Shiromaru, but just call me Shiro."

Ava blinked at Irisa's words, her first thought was to laugh at the idea of a relation, but she stopped herself. Oh boy, Rhia was rubbing off on her it seemed. She spared her 'bond' another glance and was a little pleased to see that she seemed to be deep in thought and no longer paying attention.

"We don't look that much alike," She said as she turned back to Irisa, trying hard to sound polite. "I mean, your wings and eyes are two different colors. And your markings are different than mine. But I do have siblings, I think, though I've never met any of them. Naturally, this is my first time out of the house, seeing as I'm only four days old."

She realized she was babbling and shut her mouth, feeling the familiar and yet annoying blush creep onto her cheeks again. Why couldn't she just be calm? It was so aggravating...

"My bond is trying to get in touch with Neko, her friend. Neko knows the bonds to my mother and father, and to my siblings I believe, she's supposed to try and arrange for us all to meet soon." Ava was careful to keep her voice even, uninterested, though deep down she was hoping it happened someday.

He continued shaking hands with Koralu, since he wasn’t quite sure when he was supposed to stop if the other person continued.
“And nice to meet you, Koralu.” He said, though his face began to look a bit confused. Hadn't he already...? He shrugged off the stray thought, blushing a bit, though he didn’t stop shaking Koralu’s hand.

Four days old? Wow, Ava was extremely young. Four days was... well, younger than Irisa, although Irisa herself was only a couple of weeks old (time felt like it passed slowly for Irisa, though. But maybe that was because she made careful care not to waste any of it).

"Yea, that's true about the markings." Irisa nodded matter-of-factly. "They just... reminded me of my own sister a bit."

Was Ava sure about this? Well, Irisa wasn't going to go all a**l-attentive staring on her again.

"Come to think of it, my bond never knew my siblings' bonds, so you're probably right." the young feien added, before smiling. "Well, I hope you enjoy your meeting with your family, Ava. It was really... nice when I got to meet my father and my sister."

Weren't they supposed to stop now? Koralu blinked at their hands, then released Raphael's after a moment, head tilting to the side again. "Raphael," he repeated quietly to himself, Shiro's constant training at least taking hold here.

"You haven't met your mother yet?" Ava queried, overcoming the initial unease at meeting new feien. They all seemed rather nice... or at least the two she had met so far. Her eyes strayed over to Raphael and Koralu for a moment before she looked back at Irisa.

A frown crinkled her features slightly as she looked the other feien over. They were pretty much the same height... in fact they seemed to be exactly the same height. And one of Irisa's wings was the same color as her own, and one of Irisa's eyes. But then again, that didn't mean anything did it? Irisa had different markings, her colors were black and white, not... red. Her hair was really spiky too, and once again Ava felt a wave of humiliation at the spike of hair that stuck up on her head like a toothpick. The other feien had just said she had met her sister and father, they lived together? Maybe..?

"What is your father's name?" Ava asked abruptly, her tone slightly harsh even though she hadn't meant it to be.

Raphael quickly drew his hand away, relieved that Koralu had been the one to stop the handshake. Besides, his hand had become uncomfortably warm.
He removed his confused look and instead smiled at Koralu, curious as he looked the feien over...
Except then he remembered what Simara had said and looked down at his feet, the blush returning.
“Sorry for staring…” He mumbled, inaudible.

Irisa was surprised and a bit taken aback, but only very slightly. As someone who wanted to probe for information all the time, herself, she could understand the need for abrupt questions. It was just that... well, Irisa herself normally would at least try to cover up the abruptness.

Still, she had to admit that Ava's method was far more efficient. In fact, it might have saved a lot of time if Irisa herself was more abrupt from the start, too. Then they both could get to the bottom of whether their similarities meant something or not (Irisa did have to wonder how much hairspray Ava used for her hair, though. Irisa herself... guiltily neglected her own hair for other things).

"My father's name is Talonfaust." Irisa replied matter-of-factly, before adding, "And my mother's name is Tahki. But... yes, I haven't met my mother yet."

"Staring?" Koralu echoed, blinking absently. "What were you staring at?" In the background, Shiromaru smacks his own forehead, then sighs and looks away. "Is it interesting, what you were staring at?"

Magiale looked at her watch and went bug eyed.
"EEEH! Raphy. Leave. Now." she stuttered as she grabbed the startled feien and rushed out the door.

Ava blinked a few times, feeling another wave of humiliation as Irisa's gaze went to her cowlick. She reached up and flattened it against her head, but then thought better of doing that and lowered her hand again; the spike of hair instantly popping back into the air. She cleared her throat and shifted her weight again, her hands still clasped tightly in front of her.

Her head snapped up and her shoulders went rigid as Irisa told her the names of her parents. Tahki... and Talonfaust? They were related! This feien, the one who had little similarities and so many differences... this was her sister! It struck Ava hard, but oddly not too deeply. After the surprise wore off, she didn't look at Irisa any differently. She was still just a feien, a stranger more or less. She held no special place in Ava's life... or heart.

"My parents are named Tahki and Talonfaust as well, Rhia told me." She said, her voice lacking anything even remotely akin to emotion. "I guess you were right, we are related."

Rather startled by the sudden departure of his conversation partner, Koralu blinked for a moment, wings buzzing in distress. What had happened? Had he done something wrong? Anxiously, Koralu looked around, as if Raphael might still be around, then was distracted by Ava and Irisa. He took off from his table and flew over to theirs, wings buzzing again.

Irisa didn't know much about hair care products. Her fairy godmother supposedly had a lot, as did one of her bond's daughters (the one that was out so often that Irisa had yet to even really meet her). Irisa herself, however, as stated, tended to not spend time on something like hair, because it was time better off spent on her research.

Still, she knew that uncombed hair tended to spike out like her's. She wasn't sure if it was the same case with Ava's, or if Ava herself used some special hair gel for that effect.

But she didn't have much time to think about it because Ava just confirmed that they really were sisters!

"You... too?" Irisa blinked, before smiling. "Oh, I'm really happy to meet you, sister!"

She constrained herself to mere happiness on the outside, but deep down, Irisa was ecstatic. She found another one of her siblings!

...was this where they were supposed to hug? But... both in the case of Berra and her father, they were the ones to hug Irisa, first. And although Irisa hugged them back, in general, they had to hug her first for a reason. Besides the amount of emotion necessary to keep from being too cold, Irisa... did tend to keep to herself beyond the bare politeness etiquette, after all, although her emotions did come out every once in a while.

Irisa was still smiling, but she could sense an... awkwardness. Speaking of cold... hmm, maybe Ava was the pure cold sibling? Ava herself did seem rather detached, even by Irisa's standards.

Ava glanced over at Koralu as he headed towards her and Irisa. She was still intrigued by his wings, and the fact that he had no hair. Plus his markings were very different from her own, just like Raphael's were so different. It was kind of fun, seeing all the different feien, even if it wasn't that many. Kind of fun, but also kind of unnerving.

She gave Koralu a hesitant smile before nodding her head once to Irisa. The smile faltered a second later as she studied the two-tone feien. She seemed to be... almost waiting for something. Her expression was a little confused, but happy at the same time. This caused Ava to frown slightly, her wings drooping. Was she supposed to do something now? She didn't really know what to do when one met a relative. She felt a little awkward, and from the air around them both, it seemed Irisa felt the same way. Maybe she was waiting for Ava to say something? Call her sister perhaps? Though they technically were sisters, it seemed a little too... inexact to call Irisa that just yet, they didn't really know each other after all, weren't names like that reserved for people you knew and loved?

"It's... it's nice to meet you too, Irisa." Ava smiled, a little unsure if this was the proper reply or not. Irisa seemed very nice, and she didn't want to upset her, but the poor feien didn't know what else to say.

"Yea..." Irisa toe'd. So... okay, now what? Introductions were finished, and... Irisa was never the one to hug first, and it didn't seem like Ava was, either.

And maybe... that was okay? Ava probably liked to keep to herself just like Irisa did. It was easy for Irisa to see how the two were related.

What kind of family things were two sisters like that supposed to do, anyways? Come to think of it, as much as Irisa was looking for her family and was so happy to meet them all and everything, she never did take into consideration what they were supposed to actually DO as a family, even if they didn't have to stay relatively near their bonds.

But time was being wasted. Irisa decided to press onwards with a new conversation topic.

"Oh yea, that's a very unique hairstyle you have, Ava." she commented, deciding to follow Ava's lead and stick to a name-basis. "I... kind of neglect my hair, myself, but I imagine a lot of work must be put into keeping your hair like that. It's very distinguished, I have to say."

Come to think of it, Irisa felt kind of bad. Here she lived in a household where every girl spent so much time maintaining a good hairstyle except her. But... she always had other things to do with her time. Ava's hair seemed nice enough, though.

Koralu blinked at Ava as she gave him a smile, then offered one in return, and simply sat down atop the table to listen to the other two feien talk. Only, really, 'listening' wasn't quite the proper word. 'Distractedly catching snatches of words' was perhaps more accurate.

At first Ava turned almost beet red at the comment on her hair, absolutely mortified that someone actually said something about it. Then the memories of Rhia's teasing came into her mind, and she unclasped her hands, curling them into fists.

"You think I make my hair do this?" She said, her voice slightly louder than it had been a moment ago. She reached up and slapped her hand over the spike of hair, angry because of her hair being this way, humiliated because Irisa had mentioned it, and humiliated that she was angry all at once. "I don't want my hair this way, it's just the way it is. It's not my fault it sticks up like that, I don't want it to but I can't get it to stay down!"

Ava blinked a few times and relaxed, her hand dropping from head. Her face flushed once again and she looked down at the floor, her fingers twiddling with one another, "I... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get upset. It's just... well, I don't really like my hair, and Rhia has teased me about it, so I don't like it being mentioned. I'm sorry."

She looked back up at Irisa and suddenly felt something grip her gut. It was an unpleasant feeling, and she knew right away what it was. She glanced over at Koralu and felt - once again - embarrassed, this time by her outburst. "I hope you can forgive me, Irisa, I don't want you to not like me. I'm usually not like that."

At the mention of her name, Rhia opened one eye and one of her large ears lifted slightly. She turned her gaze towards her feien, a small smile playing across her lips, but she didn't say anything. Instead, she went back to her thoughts, content to allow Ava time to get to know the other two.

The other feien's sudden outburst was even more surprising than the previous abrupt questioning, and a slightly frightened Irisa cringed a bit, before actively forcing herself to compose herself again as Ava apologized.

"Ah..." Irisa tried to gather her bearings. With the amount that Ava kept on surprising her, she realized that she really didn't know Ava very well at all. Which... was logical, given that they've generally just met. Irisa for some reason forgot that. Come to think of it, that probably was because she got caught up in the fact that they were sisters.

...hmm, you really can realize and learn a lot just by getting out into the world and meeting other people.

Still, facts were facts.

"It's okay." Irisa finally but sincerely smiled. "I'm sorry. I didn't know you felt that way about your hair. I won't mention it again, then. And... yea, that's okay. I wouldn't be a very good sister if I couldn't accept a sincere apology!"

She nodded cheerfully, hoping that she didn't hurt Ava too much.

"Although... er, well, we can drop the subject if you want, but..." Irisa remarked curiously. "Couldn't you just... cut it off with some scissors if it's that bad? Not that I know where you can find feien-sized scissors, but... something like that maybe could work."

Ava blinked and frowned for a moment, contemplating Irisa's comment. Could she just go and lop it off if she wanted to? Of course she could, why couldn't she? But did she really want to cut her hair so it was a different style, change it from what she was born (figuratively speaking) with to something else..?

Well, the fact of the matter was, she didn't want to cut it. It was her hair, the hair she had been 'born' with. No matter how much she disliked it, deep down she did like it to a degree, simply because of the fact that it was hers. She didn't know her parents, or her siblings aside from one, she wanted to stay as much herself as she could. She was pretty much alone right now, but at least she could look in the mirror everyday and see the same face, right?

Ava smiled to herself as she realized trying to explain that to Irisa would prove completely futile. It was a sort of paradox she thought, and it wouldn't make any inkling of sense outside her own mind.

"No," She said after a moment, smiling at her... sister. "I don't think I'll cut it. Besides, it may turn out even uglier than it is now if I do that."

She turned her attention to Koralu for a moment, her green eyes sparkling. "Hello, I don't believe we've been properly introduced. My name is Avangelyne, Ava for short."

"Ah, okay." Irisa nodded in agreement. Not a specific agreement, but a general agreement. Whatever her sister wished, since it was her hair, after all.

Truthfully, Irisa thought it wasn't a bad decision. Like she said, the look really was quite distinguished. If there was ever a way for her sister's looks to stand out in Irisa's mind, that would be it. Her wing style, eye color, coloring, and markings were all either similar to Irisa or to her sister or to her father from what she could tell, but that hair was unique only to Ava.

Irisa joined Ava in turning her attention to the other Feien in the shop. "Oh, sorry about that. And I'm Irisa. What's your name?"

Koralu blinked as his attention was brought back to the here-and-now by Avangelyne's gaze, then blinked again as she spoke. "Ava?" he echoed, then stood up with a smile. "Ava. Nice to meet you." He paused, then added as an afterthought, "I'm Koralu."

Shiromaru glanced up as another feien introduced itself to Kora, then smiled slightly and sank into a chair. Okay, maybe this wasn't going to go as badly as he thought...

"Hello, Koralu." Irisa politely greeted. "It's nice to meet you, too. Are you also new?"

Ava took a step back and glanced between the two feien, not exactly sure how to talk to them both at one time. Her eyes landed on Koralu and she smiled again, bigger this time, "I like your wings... and your markings."

She blinked a few times and glanced at Irisa again, voicing the thought that had popped into her mind, but not really at either of the feien present with her, "I wonder how many feien there are..."

Koralu looked from Irisa to Ava and back again, trying to figure out who he should focus on first. Irisa gets a smile after a moment, then a nod. "Yes. I've not been around for very long." And back to Ava again. "Thank you...?" It's more question than response, and he glanced up at Shiromaru, relieved when he saw a soft nod of encouragement. "I like yours, too."

Out of the corner of her eye, Irisa saw her sister's glance. Irisa generally was careful to pay attention to everything around her, even when also focussing on a single task.

...she wasn't that good at it yet, though. She didn't decipher what her sister's look could mean until she looked at Koralu more directly, again. He really did have exotic wings and markings. And no hair!

Memories of Ava talking to her earlier of how there were so many feien that were so different came back to Irisa's mind.

Ava silently beamed as Koralu stated he liked her markings as well. She wasn't too sure about them, they didn't seem to be special in any way, but hearing someone else say they were good made her feel a lot better. She smiled to him and nodded her head once, "Thank you."

She shot a glance at Irisa and her brow furrowed slightly as she noticed the feien was deep in thought. Well, that was no surprise, she liked to do a lot of thinking too. Maybe Irisa was trying to think of something to say? Ava herself found she was at a loss for words, she had no clue what to talk about.

She shifted her weight to one foot, then the other, before coming up with something to keep the three occupied for a minute or two longer, "How many feien have you each met so far?"

"Oh." Irisa's train of thought was broken by Ava's question. But she was actually happy about that. Having something to talk about was akin to having something to do. "Hmm... let's see. So far, in the shop I've met a nice Feien named Nero, who was very kind and helpful. He has a very exotic blue and red color scheme. I've also met Ruya at a beach party, and she has fangs, which is extremely unique. I've met our sister, Kookaberra, who's sweet, and our father, Talonfaust, who's... fatherly."

Irisa paused, unable to think of a better description than fatherly. This inability to know her father better made her sigh a bit.

"I wish I could know them all better, but time seems to be a limited commodity. There were a LOT of feien at that beach party, though."

"Kookaberra," Ava murmured thoughtfully, her brow creasing slightly. Ava perked up a bit when she heard Irisa mention that she had met their father, and she snapped her eyes to the dual colored feien. "You met Talonfaust? What was he like, can you tell more about him? You haven't met Tahki yet... that's a shame, I'm not sure if I'm ever going to meet them, and I think I'd like to find out what they're like..."

Ava smiled and flushed slightly, realizing she was once again prattling on. She shifted her wings and hugged herself lightly, shaking her head a bit and causing the spike of hair to wave back and forth, "I'm sorry, again, I'm not normally this talkative, ask Rhia. It's just... I haven't met very many feien, you, Raphael and Koralu being the first three. The only three, I get a little lonely now and then, even though I'm only a couple days old."

She averted her eyes from Irisa, focusing on a spot somewhere near the other feien's feet. She hadn't meant to tell Irisa that, it seemed kind of foolish to tell a stranger what you thought. But she had to remind herself that even though they didn't really know each other, they were related... so it was okay for her to tell her sister certain things. She hadn't even opened up to Rhia about how she truly felt about some things, so it was no surprise that she did the same with Irisa. Maybe the feeling of needing to keep things to herself would wear off once she got to know more feien...

Irisa couldn't help but laugh a little, if only slightly. And very softly.

"Oh, that's okay." she replied to the other feien. "At home, I usually just stick to reading books or magic studies, myself, except when my fairy godmother drags me out for some exercise. But for some reason, I find myself a lot more talkative around other feien, too."

Irisa shrugged cheerfully.

"I guess it'd be a waste to not actually talk to other feien while you're around them. And already, I've found that there are a lot of nice feien, so you can really learn a lot and find people who can help you with tasks and everything." she nodded. "A feien named Nero helped me a lot with figuring out who my parents were, for example."

Nero... the first feien she met. He said he'd help her more if she could. Well, she already found her parents so she didn't need any more help regarding that, but it'd be nice to see him again. And in the future, all the other friends she met. As well as her family, of course. Irisa wondered how often feien bumped into each other in normal life. Well, at any rate...

"Oh yea, our father's really... caring. I wish I had more time to be with him." Irisa sighed, before adding, "From what Kookaberra tells me, he's at odds with another feien in his house, but neither of us know what that's about. All we know is that he's really kind and wants to look after us."

It was just... hard for him to look after his own children when they all lived in separate houses.

Ava licked her lips and her wings fidgeted for a moment as she opened her mouth to speak. She shut it before saying anything, not exactly sure what she wanted to say. She wanted to know more about her parents, but since Irisa hadn't met Tahki she wouldn't learn anything about her. Irisa said she only met with Talon very briefly, so she didn't know a whole lot about him either.

Caring. And he wanted to look after them. Ava felt a jolt of pain running through her body at that thought. Someone who actually cared for her and looked after her...? That sounded very nice... something that she definitely wanted.

"I have to meet Talonfaust," She stated, more to herself than to Irisa. She looked up at the dual colored feien a moment later, her emerald eyes showing the first spark of genuine interest and hopefulness since she arrived here. "Maybe... maybe if you see him again, you can tell him that I need to meet him? Maybe he can talk to Tahki as well, that way we could meet them both someday..."

She abruptly whirled away from Irisa, flapping her wings and taking flight a second later - though it took her a moment to stay up in the air. She turned around to face her friend for a moment, and then flitted down in front of her, but didn't land. She smiled - a wide, beaming smile - and took Irisa's hand, shaking it vigorously up and down.

"Thank you, it was nice meeting you. I hope we're able to meet again, but I should go for now." She released Irisa’s hand just as suddenly as she had grabbed it and whirled around, flying off towards her bond. She turned slightly and gave Irisa a final wave, "Please tell Talon about me if you see him again. Take care, and goodbye for now!"

Ava landed on Rhia's shoulder, causing the demoness's large ear to flick back and forth. She reached up and gently tugged on one of the many silver hoops in her bond's ear, "I'm ready to go home now."

Rhia sat up straight and adjusted her sunglasses, glancing over at the other feien before nodding to Ava. "Alright, had enough socializing, did you?"

She grinned as Ava's face flushed lightly and she mumbled something. Rising from the chair, she bowed rather elegantly to those in the shop, her jewelry twinkling and her tail swaying.

"We'll be back." She purred silkily before turning and heading out of the shop, her wings stretching themselves as she stepped out the door.

Irisa nodded, and watched and waved as Ava flew out the door.

"Goodbye, sister..." she tapered off as she warmly smiled. Life was really great.

Note: Even though this post was reserved on the 25th, the diary entry itself was written up and entered on the 24th, after Rhia and Ava returned from the shop.

Rhia's diary entry; written in perfect, swirling cursive
Ava and I went to the feien shop earlier today, though I stayed silent and out of the way for the entire outing. There were a few feien there, more than I expected to see really, and I think Ava enjoyed herself. She mentioned that one of the feien that was there was her sister, so I'm glad she was able to meet one of her family members.

Naturally, she won't admit that she had a good time, but she's been asking me ever since we got home when we're going to go again. I'll have to take her soon, and hopefully she'll be able to meet her mother and father. She hasn't said anything to me yet, but I think it bothers her that Irisa has met their father and she hasn't. It's nothing personal against Irisa, of course, but Ava just feels a little left out I think. I tried to cheer her up earlier, but as that always goes she just told me she wanted to be left alone.

Ah, will we ever get along?

Ava's diary entry; written in small, block letters
Rhia finally took me to the shop today. I don't think I would willingly tell anyone (though if they asked me I would), but I was really excited about going. I was hoping that I'd get to meet a lot of feien, maybe even a family member.

I did get to meet my sister, Irisa. She's really nice, though she doesn't look a whole lot like me. Her wings and eyes are different colors, I find that interesting. I'd like to see her again, and maybe it won't be so awkward next time. I didn't really know what to say to her, I kind of think she felt the same way. I tried to be nice, but I got a little upset when she mentioned my hair. I hope she's not mad at me about that. I like her.

I also met Raphael, he's got yellow hair and markings. I didn't really get to speak to him, but he seemed nice. And he was really pretty, I liked the way his markings looked.

There was one other feien there, Koralu, he was a lot different from Irisa, Raphael and myself. His wings were kind of small, and rounded, and he had no hair. His markings were really pretty, and they were all over his body. He seemed... distracted though, like he wasn't really paying attention to anything we were saying. It was kind of too bad, I thought he was really neat looking and I wanted to talk to him more. Though I'm not sure what I would have said.

I asked Rhia if we could go back sometime, to see if there are more feien, and she said probably. She's not as bad as I first thought, but she's a little estranged from me. I asked Irisa if she saw Talonfaust again to mention to him that I'd like to see him. She tells me that he's very fatherly. Kind and caring, I think she put it. It would be really nice if he was, but just because he's that way to Irisa doesn't mean he'll be that way to me, does it? No, it doesn't. He may not like me, just as Tahki (if I ever meet her) may not like me either. I think I'd be very upset if they didn’t like me, but I guess I couldn't be someone I'm not just to make them happy.

It would be really nice if they did like me though, Rhia isn't the greatest person to have care for you. I'd like to think that my mother and father would be better at it than she would. I'd like to think that they'd love me if we ever met, and they'd want to take good care of me. But that might be asking for too much, I mean, even if we met we wouldn't know each other, and strangers - family or not - couldn't love one another, could they?

Ava's diary entry; written in small, block letters
This morning when I woke up Rhia was in a good mood, which may not sound like that big of a deal, but she's not a morning person. She's usually grumpy and mean, actually mean. But she wasn't today, she was smiling and she even laughed! I wonder if it has anything to do with that phone call she got last night. She stayed on the phone talking for at least an hour, and probably longer than that because that's when I fell asleep for the night. I tried to ask her about who was on the phone, but she smiled and said just a friend or something.

But she called me 'Ma'pe La' (I asked her how it's spelled, otherwise I'm sure I would have gotten it wrong). I have no idea what that means! I hope it's nothing bad... I asked her what it means and that's when she laughed. She was in an unusually good mood today, so I doubt it was anything bad. Or at least, I hope it wasn't. I don't think she would ever call me anything bad, because the more I'm here the more I realize that she does like me, she just has a hard time expressing it. Kind of like me, I think.

Oh! She mentioned something about going to meet my mother and father sometime soon. She told me not to get my hopes up, because it might be a long while before I get to meet them, but I can't help it. I want to meet them, Irisa has already met Talonfaust, and I think the other two blooms (my brothers or sisters, or one of each) actually live with Tahki and Talonfaust; one in each house. Why am I the only that hasn't met one of our parents yet? Oh well, I'm sure I'll get to meet them someday. I'm usually really good with being patient, so I'll just have to wait.

I accidentally flew into Rhia's room a little while ago while she was getting dressed. She has markings on her body too! There's this really odd one on her stomach, it's very pretty, but not like mine at all. And she has piercings on--

RP took place September 29th
Rhia stood outside the shop and gestured with her head for the feien to go in. "Come on, I'll wait right out here for you, okay?"

Rhia smiled and nodded as Ava hesitantly left her shoulder and took flight, zigzigging towards the door. The little feien looked back at her bond, still a little unsure, and Rhia motioned with a hand for her to go, "You'll be fine, have fun, Ma'pe la."

Ava finally smiled a little and nodded herself, giving Rhia a small wave before flying into the shop. She landed on the nearest table, stumbling a little on her landing before gaining her balance and straightening her shoulders. She turned her green eyes to the feien already present, and was a little unsure of which one to approach first.

"Hi everyone," She called out, loud enough for anyone close to her to hear. Well, might as well let them all know she's here, right?

Ruya stood and walked over to greet the new feien in the shop. Thank goodness someone was here, she was starting to worry Sunil would be her only company.

"Hello." She ave a small wave to the juvenile with a smile. "My name is Ruya. And you are?"

Sunil just snorted and retreated back into the dark part of the bookshelf. She didn't feel like being friendly and Ruya would ruin any attempts to be anything else.

Ava cast a wary glance at Sunil, a frown forming on her lips, but she quickly placed a small smile there instead as she looked up at Ruya.

"Hi, I'm Avangelyne. It's nice to meet you," She paused for a moment before adding, "Actually, you can call me Ava. It's alot easier to say than my full name."

Ava blinked a few times and studied Ruya for a moment, her brow creasing a little. "You... have wings on your head. And your hair is two different colors, I like that, it's very pretty."

Ruya shot Sunil a quick glare, catching onto Ava's wary glance. At the comment on her hair, she reached up and tucked one side behind her ear.

"Thank you. The wings on my head are a genetic mutation passed on by my dad."

She crossed her arms over her chest, still not entirely comfortable with her bi-colored hair. She studied the juvenile for a moment before remembering her manners.

"Anyway, it is very nice to meet you Ava. Your full name is very pretty."

A bright orange Feien floated lazily into the shop. A string tied around his waist held a small vial with a swirling black mass in it. He smiled as his absently played with it, landing on the windowsill. He noticed many Feien in the shop now. He scanned the room half-heartedly, until he came upon one which he thought he knew...

"Ruya?" eek

Irisa flittered into the shop to see if she could collect some observations. Or if the shop had any notes that her bond lacked regarding feien or magic, perhaps.

There were... a lot of feien in the shop. Some which Irisa recognized (including her sister), some which seemed new. She wondered if she should greet any, but her bond pointed out earlier that she had fallen rather... behind in her work. So she settled with a wave.

Granted, it was hard to do her work without any PAPER that she could use (what was taking that delivery man so long?) so hopefully she could just... memorize for now (even if she wasn't a memory feien like Nero was).

That in mind, Irisa began to take stock of which feien were in the shop. She wanted to see how often magic got used in normal life.

Ava looked for something to say to that, but couldn't really come up with anything other than a 'thank you'. It's not that she didn't like her full name, it's just that it was odd compared to the other feien names she had heard... and a bit long.

"Who is your father?" She asked politely, before adding on a second question, "Do you have any brothers or sisters?"

Ruya whirled at the sound of Neruo's voice, smiling widely.

"Neruo? Hi! I haven't seen you in a while!"

She started in his direction, only to remember he hadn't seen her since she had grown. She stopped and twirled quickly for him before adding, rather unnecessarily, "I grew up!"

Sunil scooched out and peeked over the edge of the shelf again, recognizing Neruo's voice. Stupid feien. She shook her head at them and then retreated again. It seemed like someone was getting closer, but she was probably imagining it. Getting paranoid or something.

Neruo fluttered over to her, smiling. He finally landed near her and stood to his full height against her. Measley, he knew, but highly entertaining. He laughed aloud, seeing how short he was now.

"My my! The little lady has grown quite a bit! Where was I when this happened?" he chuckled. "Has Silva seen you, or am I the last to know?"

He detatched the vial from around his waist, handing it to Ruya. The purple swirls within the glass seemed to quicken their pace.

"I was out learning potion-concoction, and I made you this. It's a warping potion. I thought you might like the colors."

He smiled and waved to the other Feien, bowing politely.

The current feien in the shop consisted of Avangelyne talking with Ruya, a female blue feien among them who's markings resembled a full body suit, another female blue feien who's markings resembled a human bikini without the straps, a feien with long pink hair but black wings that also arrived, and an orange feien with leafy wings. The latter seemed be joining along with the conversation Ava and Ruya were having.

...Irisa really wished she had that pen and paper so she could start taking her notes. This was an awful lot to memorize.

Ava noticed Irisa had arrived and gave her sister a stiff wave before shouting, "Hi Irisa!"

She looked back over to Ruya, who seemed to have forgotten about her and was now focusing on a bright orange feien with curly hair. The curly hair intrigued Ava, but since he also seemed caught up with Ruya, she simply smiled back and nodded her head in acknowledgement when he bowed.

She shrugged lightly and turned away from Ruya, surveying the shop for the first time. It was a little unnerving, being in here without Rhia, but she felt she was doing fairly well. She only wished Irisa wasn't the only member of her family here... none of the other feien present looked even remotely close to herself and her sister, so she believed she was safe in guessing none of them were related.

Ruya sobered mildly at the mention of Silva, but kept smiling. It was good to see Neruo again.

"Silva has seen me, but you're hardly the last to know. You haven't been around much lately."

She reached out and took the potion he handed her gingerly before holding it up tot he light.

"It is very pretty Neruo, thank you. But what does it do?"

Ruya glanced apologetically over at Ava, realizing she had skipped out in the middle of a conversation. Hopefully the juvenile would be understanding.

Neruo laughed, scratching the back of his head. "Well, if you do intend to use it...just throw it against the floor, and the resulting smoke will transport you somewhere within a 10 yard radius. I made it myself."

He smiled to Ruya and floated over to one of the new Feien. She was white and red, he noticed, and he had never seen her before. He walked up to her, hand outstretched in greeting.

"Hello! I'm Neruo. You must be new. Enchante."

At Ava's calling, Irisa cheerfully waved. Hmm... well, it was as good an invite as any to get closer to the conversation. Which was nice, because as much as she was trying to gather data, Irisa didn't want to seem like she was eavesdropping or some other such rude thing.

With that thought, she flew over to where her sister and the other feien were.

"Hi, sister." Irisa nodded. "How are things going? The shop seems... even more crowded than last time."

Irisa glanced around the shop, noticing the large number of feien. Not too many of them seemed to be talking to each other at the moment, though, besides the orange one and Ruya.

"Excuse me?" Ava blinked at Neruo for a moment, a frown dancing across her lips as he said a word she had never heard before.

Great... he was saying stuff she didn't understand, just like Rhia. She looked down at his outstretched hand blankly for a moment and then seemed to realize what it was for. She smiled and grasped his hand firmly, shaking it up and down once before letting go.

"I'm Ava, it's nice to meet you. I really like your hair," She smiled and for a moment was silent, almost seeming to suppress a giggle, "It's very... curly."

She looked over at Irisa and shrugged a little, slightly puzzled at the two-tone feien's choice of words, "I... don't think anything is going anywhere. I've never been to the shop before, I've met more feien in the last five minutes than I did in my whole life! Of course I'm still fairly young, so I guess that's not saying much."

Talonfaust glided soundlessly in through the open window of the shop and....nearly flew directly back out again when he saw just how many feien were inside. Good GODS, the shop had been barren for weeks, what had suddenly attracted everyone again??

Hovering in mid-air, he narrowed his eyes a bit, took a deep breath, and ventured forward anyway, heading directly for the bolts of cloth without looking at anyone. So much for a quiet outing, he thought sourly. All he'd come for was to attempt to try and find the same pattern of cloth he'd used to make the "shirt" he'd worn as a juvenile that was now too small for him. He'd tried to get used to simply not having it and found he couldn't. Therefore it was, perhaps, time for a replacement.

As long as he wasn't making a spectacle of himself, perhaps he wouldn't be bothered.

Neruo smiled. "Enchante. It's nothing bad. It's French for 'enchanted to meet you'. It's just a fancy was of saying 'hello'. I learned quite a bit while I was gone."

He took a lock of his hair and pulled it straight, letting it go and watching it boucne back into place. "I'm glad you like it." he said, "My hair, I mean. It's good to play with if you're bored."

He glanced at the two-toned Feien and offered her a hand in greeting as well.

Irisa turned to greet the orange feien, herself.

"Yea... there weren't this many feien in the shop from the few times I've come here so far." Irisa confirmed as she looked around. "It's kind of... overwhelming."

But speaking of getting to know new feien...

"Hello, Neruo. I'm Irisa." she greeted to the orange haired feien that was right next to her. She took the hand and politely shook it. "Also nice to meet you."

"You have...different-colored eyes. My, I am observant, aren't I?" He chuckled, glad that she, too, was friendly. So many new faces to remember! He liked this very much. He folded his wings down again, watching Ruya out of the corner of his eye.

"When did you two arrive, and, are you related are something? Or just close friends? What element might you be?" He was startled suddenly by his rudeness. "Ahh...sorry. Playing sudden 20 questions with you. I'm just curious."

Ava smiled as Neruo played with a strand of his hair. She felt a pang of embarrassment over her own hair and cleared her throat, not wanting to talk about hair anymore.

"I see, well, it's nice to know what it means then. Rhia, my bond, sometimes says things I don't know what they mean, and she won't tell me what they mean either. It's very frustrating sometimes." She frowned slightly, but shrugged a little and looked back over to Irisa, "There are alot of feien here, it's strange to see so many after nothing for so long."

She surveyed the shop again and froze, Neruo's questions not even registering as her eyes narrowed and her body leaned forward a bit. She had spotted a feien over by the bolts of cloth, though she couldn't be sure, it looked like a he and... white wings? She turned to Irisa and then pointed, even though she knew it wasn't polite to point, "Who is that?"

Talon, out of the corner of his eye, saw that someone had spotted him and was pointing in his direction and sighed, his ears flattening. It was hard to pick out what given personalities were and intentions, for that matter, from the blanket of chatter currently battering his ears.

And now someone with a voice he didn't recognize was drawing attention to him. Great. Had rumor travelled already about his and Tahki's humiliation regarding Corvus, he wondered?

He drew his wings up a little higher, though it did little to hide him against the colorful cloth as his white color stood out rather blatantly.

"Yea, we're both sisters." Irisa confirmed to Neruo with a nod and a smile. "Our father's Talonfaust. Who... also happens to be right there."

Irisa blinked, and then peered at the feien by the bolt of cloth before turning to Avangelyne and clasping her hands.

"Ava! That's our father!" she replied with a smile, a small hint of eagerness in her voice. "Did you get to meet him, yet?"

Neruo stretched, seeing that it was time to go. He bowed and thanked both Irisa and Ava for meeting with him, and floated towards the window. He stopped at Ruya, smiling up at her. His gray eyes shined a bit and he gave her a warm hug.

"It's so glad to see you again. Unfortunately, I must be off now, but feel free to drop in on us at any time. You're always welcome."

He waved at everyone who could see him and floated towards home.

Ava made a soft choking sound and her emerald eyes went wide. That was Talonfaust? That was her father?

"I..." Her voice trailed off as she dared a glance back up at the white-winged feien near the cloth. She reached up and gently rubbed her temple, then placed a hand to her stomach. Feeling slightly ill, she looked at Irisa and tried to sound normal, "No... no, I haven't met him yet."

She gave Neruo a glance and a shaky smile, but her eyes were soon drawn up to Talonfaust again. Did she really want to meet him? Yes, of course she did, but then again...

Raylan looked over his shoulder for a moment before flitting into the shop, having snuck out of the house for a moment to see if he could remember where this place was. He hadn't intended to stay long, especially since he didn't tell anyone that he was leaving too far from the house. Blinking his green eyes a few times, the dual-element feien's ears perked up slightly as he heard all of the voices, almost shocked at the sudden large group of people. Everything was so lively! Is this what Tahki had meant by colorful?

Edging over to the windowsill, he sat down quietly as he watched the others for a moment, smiling to himself. How exciting! He wanted to meet everyone, but thought he might be rude to just butt into someone's conversation, especially when he didn't know anyone. Folding his wings down over his shoulders like a cape, he folded his hands in his lap and waited.

Irisa turned to look at her sister. Ava seemed really nervous. The young feien could understand the feeling. She wasn't sure exactly what to do when she first met her father, either. She turned back to look at her dad. Did he even know or suspect?

"I guess... we could go see him together." she suggested with a hint of wariness in her voice. Irisa... never was one to make the first move regarding these situations. But neither was Ava. Still, sitting around there wasting time wasn't going to accomplish anything, so the least she could do was be there for her sister when her sister was also nervous about meeting their father for the first time.

Talon's ear twitched, picking out a voice that he DID recognize among the massive throng of others and blinked. That was--That sounded like--

He turned his head suddenly in the direction of whoever had been pointing at him, giving them his full attention to see if he recognized them. The child who had been pointing he didn't recognize but the other he most certainly did.

"Irisa...!" he exclaimed, abandoning the cloth and gliding toward them. Funny...all of the other feien here and for some reason he hadn't thought it would be a possibility that he might run into one of his children. Perhaps he'd just assumed that his luck really -was- that bad.

Ava's gaze flickered away from Talonfaust for a moment to study Irisa. She wanted to go meet him, she really did, it's just...

"He... he looks like he's busy," She said, shamelessly using the situation as an excuse not to meet him just yet. "I think maybe he doesn't want to be bothered. I think-"

Ava visibly jumped as he called out to Irisa and flew down towards her. She looked to Irisa, then to Talonfaust and proceeded to back away from her sister. "I..."

Just then her attention was diverted to a feien who was just arriving, and she hurried away from her sister, calling over her shoulder, "I'll be right back!"

She felt a little gutless at running away like that, she wanted to meet him after all! But what was she going to say? What was she going to do? What if he didn't like her?

"Hello, I'm Ava." She said to the black-haired feien. She studied the three pigtails he had and smiled. "I like your hair, it's very pretty."

Eep! It seemed like in a situation like this, if you hesitated, then your father would just come to you. Irisa quickly turned to her father and clasped her hands as she beamed.

"Dad!!" the young feien greeted. "My sister... er, I mean, your daughter... that is to say..."

She looked at her sister, then back at her father. Then Irisa finally warmly smiled.

"This is Avangelyne, my..."

...at that moment, Irisa paused and stared in surprise as Ava flew off. ER... Did Ava want their father to know? Irisa was stumped. She didn't know what to say, now. Should she tell him, or shouldn't she? Well, of course she was supposed to, but...

She coughed.

"So... yea, that was Avangelyne..." the feien remarked, rather unsure of what to say, next. Irisa by nature wasn't THAT talkative or experienced enough to be able to come up with something in a situation like this.

Raylan blinked a few times as the red and white feien flew up to him, a bit surprised at the way he'd left the other two like that. Was something wrong with her? Was there some sort of sign over his head screaming "COME MEET ME!" that he didn't know about? ...Wait, he was thinking about things too much again. Smiling warmly, he lifted a hand to greet the feien with a handshake.

"Thank you," he replied. "Your hair is pretty as well. It reminds me of Mama's. ...Actually, your markings remind me of Mama's, as well. Very nice, I must say."

Looking to his extended hand for a moment, he'd realized he'd forgotten something. "Oh! Forgive my manners... My name is Raylan. And you are?"

Ava sent a guilty glance in the direction of Talonfaust and Irisa. She hadn't meant to leave her sister hanging there like that, she had just freaked out, as Rhia would have said. She felt a warm flush come to her cheeks at her actions, but thankfully she had a new feien to focus on.

"My name is Avangelyne, or Ava for short." She chose to ignore the comment about her hair, figuring he was talking about her bun and not the... thing sticking up above her forehead. "Really, I remind you of your mother? I haven't met my mother yet, so I couldn't say if you remind me of mine or not."

Talon blinked, confused as Ava suddenly made a hasty retreat just as Irisa introduced her. That...was a reaction he hadn't been prepared for. Biting his lip, he looked back to Irisa and then dropped to a kneel to hug her. As long as she was there, he wasn't going to neglect her, curious as he was about Avangelyne.

"That's your sister, then?" he questioned quietly when he drew back, making sure he hadn't misunderstood. He had every intention of going over to greet her next but...not if she was afraid of him for some reason.

"...is there something the matter I ought to know about?" he asked then, his voice twinged with a bit of puzzlement as he looked toward where Ava had gone and was now speaking to another juvenile. He couldn't help but feel a little stung that she was avoiding him, but had told himself that would always be a possibility...that at least one of his kids may not want anything to do with him.

"A pleasure to meet you. You have a mother, too?" Raylan smiled, resting his hand back in his lap as it was ignored. "I bet she's pretty, just like you. Do you know anyone in your family?"

After a moment, the young feien finally stood up on the windowsill, folding his arms behind his back. Come to think of it, Ava looked a LOT like Tahki once he thought about it more. She wouldn't happen to be one of the sisters he was supposed to have, was she...?

Ava blinked and watched Raylan withdraw his hand, putting one of her own hands to her mouth, "Oh! I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention."

She smiled slightly and lowered her hand, offering it to the other feien if he still wanted it. She hoped he wasn't insulted by her not accepting his handshake, she hadn't meant to ignore it. At the question of her family members, she sent another guilty look in the direction of her sister and father, deciding that she should go back over there. It was very rude that she had just run off like that, and she really hoped she hadn't hurt their feelings. But she still didn't know what she was going to say or do when she back over there.

"Yes, as a matter of fact, I do." She looked back down at Raylan and nodded a little, more to herself than to him though, "I know my sister, Irisa... and I'm going to go meet my father, Talonfaust. Would you like to accompany me?"

Was Irisa that easy to read? Well, she was rather caught off guard. The young feien happily accepted the hug from her father. It was nice to have a dad who really cared about you. Irisa never knew what it was like to have a dad who didn't, although then again, her bond never seemed to care for Irisa that much.

Then again, from what Ava mentioned about Rhia saying about Ava's hair among other things, Ava's bond seemed... well, not exactly parental in the most sitcom sense of the term. And Ava didn't have a fairy godmother like Irisa did. Maybe that's why Ava was even more shy about it than Irisa was.

"Yea, dad. She is." Irisa nodded. "But Ava's been... well, she seems kind of nervous. I can sort of understand the feeling, since... I felt nervous back then, too."

Not that Irisa could read minds, but seeing your father for the first time was really intimidating. It all worked out in the end and she was happy about that, but she imagined that her sister probably shared the same sentiments regarding a first meeting.

aquaphina outstreatched her wings and stood up "only....." she stepped of the ledge and floated down to the floor in a circular swing down. touching foot on the floor and standing up straight "hehe!" she slowly walked twords the other feiens...not wanting to startle them to fly away.

Raylan happily took hold of Ava's hand, giving it one firm and friendly shake as he did. Irisa...? Talonfaust? The smile he had seemed to be permenant now as a warm feeling began to rise within his body. Nero had mentioned an Irisa, and how he thought that she might be his sister. And his father's name was also Talonfaust. So... Irisa, Avangelyne, and Kookaberra. Three sisters... and more than likely, three LITTLE sisters.

"Yes, I'd like that very much, thank you," he said politely, hardly able to contain his excitment. His family... He was finally going to meet the rest of his family.

Talon didn't know why he'd immediately completed Irisa's statement in his head as her having been about to say "my sister", but was relieved to hear that he had been right. That would have been an embarrassing incorrect assumption to make but--

Honestly, what had made him assume in the first place had been something rather miniscule about her, but telling. Atop her head she seemed to be cursed with the exact same problem that he did. One little demon tuft of hair that refused to lay flat and stood straight up. No matter how much he combed it, wet it, flattened it, or ratted it, it absolutely refused to lay down.

At length, he simply nodded. "If she's nervous, then I'll leave the ball in her court." he murmured, remaining knelt. "Its...entirely up to her whether she wants to meet me or not, I'm not going to force it." he sounded like he was having a bit of difficulty with this, but....oh well, that was the safest thing to do right now, he assumed. If he went barging after her, there was the chance he'd make her want to avoid him all the more.

"How have you been?" he asked, looking to Irisa again and changing the subject so he wouldn't dwell on it.

Ava turned and smiled at the pink and black feien as she came close, but soon turned her attention to Raylan. Her brow furrowed slightly at the beaming smile on his face, but she didn't say anything. It almost seemed to hold some hidden secret that he alone knew, but she wasn't going to prod him for information. She was just thankful that he was going to come with her when she went back over to Irisa and Talonfaust.

Turning her attention back to the two feien on the table, she felt her chest tighten slightly as her eyes locked on her father. Oh boy. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly, turning to Raylan and giving him a smile, trying to seem like she wasn't 'freaking out', "Let's go then."

She flapped her wings and took off, faltering for a second before soaring towards the table. She kept her eyes on Talonfaust the whole time, and as she drew closer she gasped softly.

His hair!

As she landed on the table - not even noticing that it was a near perfect landing - her nervousness was forgotten and she rushed over to him. As she stepped up to him, he was at least twice her height, but she didn't seem to mind. She stared, right at his cowlick. Slowly, her hand reached up and toyed with own wonderingly, her emerald eyes glittering happily.

Raylan nodded before unfolding his wings, flapping a few times to get himself into the air, and glided after Ava to the table. One look at Irisa, and Raylan immediately understood why Nero thought them to be related. The feien was black and white bi-colored, almost in the same fashion Nero had been, and had bi-colored eyes. Looking to Talonfaust for a moment, a thought came to mind. It seemed that, with Irisa at least, the colors fought a bit before deciding on half and half. A very nice combination, indeed.

First, introduction to his sister.

"Hello," he said with a little bow to Irisa before holding out his hand for a handshake. "My name is Raylan."

Talon started a bit as, out of the corner of his eye he caught movement and then turned as Ava approached him, her eyes seeming fixed on his head. Or...rather on top of it.

In spite of himself, he flushed a bit. Seemed that the thing that had made him instantly recognize her had made her find kinship in him as well. He was silent a moment and then spoke

"Sorry that it was hereditary..." he told her gently and sounding a little embarrassed, a hand stealing up to touch his own cowlick, feeling it bounce a bit against his fingers before he withdrew the hand, offering her a smile. "Its good to finally meet you, Avangalyne." he said, his words eluding to the fact that it was much more than that, though he didn't want to come on too strongly if she was still skittish. Best to let her make the first move on things for awhile.

Maybe THAT was hereditary as well....she'd gotten his antisocial behavior in a much milder dosage, perhaps.

Irisa was going to respond to her father's question, but at that moment, both Ava and the other feien had flown over. She allowed Ava to meet their father while she turned her attention to the new feien before her.

"Oh, hi, Raylan." she smiled as she returned the bow and then took his hand. "My name is Irisa. Nice to meet you."

Irisa paused, and then blinked. Raylan looked... exactly like a male version of herself. At least, the distinctive two tone color was there, even if he only had green eyes instead of green yellow like her's. Was this why Ava was talking to him?

"And... you're my brother, huh?" she blinked, before smiling. "Hey, this means we're almost all together, now, doesn't it?"

Ava blinked at Talon's words and found herself smilng a little sheepishly, her hand gently pulling her hair down to the side of her face before releasing it. It sprung back up to its original position, just like her father's. Her eyes strayed to his wings and she absently opened her own for a moment, still a bit stunned over the hair.

"I..." She frowned a little and cleared her throat, forcing it to be louder. "I didn't like my hair, Rhia makes fun of it. But yours is the same, in a way..."

She tilted her head and made a slight face, not really able to explain her feelings. Where they supposed to hug now or what? She was at a complete loss as to what to do, just as she had known she would be. She looked up at Talon helplessly for a moment and then shrugged, her hands lacing together in front of her, "I... I like your hair. I guess that means I like mine now too, right?"

Raylan nodded a little bit, folding his arms behind his back. "So it seems," he replied honestly, his wings folding back down over his shoulders. "It truly is a pleasure to finally get to meet everyone, and to think that I didn't bring Mama. I'll have to bring her next time, just in case."

Turning his green eyes to the tall white feien, his smile still remained. That was his father... What was he like? He certainly didn't seem anything like Tahki, and his looks seemed to fit his attitude: calm, and seemingly strong. Would he be like him when he got older?

"Our mother? That would be nice." Irisa smiled warmly.

She hoped her was doing well, too, although Raylan gave no indication that she wasn't. It was too bad that she wasn't there, though. She would have liked to see their mother. But her family seemed like they'd run into each other pretty often from here on, anyways, so she was sure she'd see her mother, eventually.

For now... there was another person missing, though.

"Our fourth sister, Kookaberra, isn't here tonight." Irisa remarked as she glanced around. "But maybe she will be, next time. We could all get together, then. I hope you're doing well, brother? Being with mom must be really nice."

Talon furrowed his brow a bit at her and likewise shrugged. "You're allowed to feel however you like about it." he told her and then leaned closer, lowering his voice a bit so he wouldn't draw attention to the fact they were discussing cowlicks if she didn't want to make a deal of it.

"I don't know if you have the same problems, but when I was younger, it drove me crazy. My bond used to tell me that if I wrapped it in tinfoil, I could probably pick up good radio reception." He rolled his eyes a bit and then examined it more closely.

"But...hmm..." he reached out tentatively, flattening the stray bit of hair against her head to see how far back it reached. "...if it really becomes troublesome for you, perhaps you could try buying a circlet from the shop?" He withdrew his touch and removed his own gold circlet then, Tahki's feathers still affixed to the back of it and offered it to her to examine or to try on, should she like.

"You may be able to keep it tucked down, but that's entirely up to you." his green eyes glistened a bit. "Honestly, you wear a cowlick much better than I ever did."

His eyes occasionally flicked to Raylan standing nearby. The black and white coloring kept catching him and making him wonder if this was the last piece to the family puzzle...the last child outstanding that he hadn't met yet. Had he not been worried that Ava would feel neglected, he would have asked.

Raylan looked back to Irisa for a moment, his ears twitching at the word 'fourth'. Kookaberra would be the third sister, would she not? Perhaps she'd meant to say sibling, instead. No matter, he nodded a little bit in understanding.

"I've been quite well, really," was his response, moving his arms out from behind his back. "Mama Ares has been teaching me things Mama can't, and Mama's always telling me stories about other feien. She's a little hyper, but I don't mind really. It's the way she is."

Looking to Talonfaust again, Raylan figetted a little bit. "If you'll excuse me, Irisa... There's something I must do, as I've been wanting to do it for such a long time now."

With a slight bow, the young feien pardoned himself, stepping over to the tall earth feien and looking to Ava as if to ask permission to speak to Talon.

At first Ava felt a bit disappointed in Talon's answer, but she wasn't sure why. But as he leaned close to her and spoke in a low, confidential tone, she couldn't help but smile. At the remark about tinfoil, the smaller feien issued her first giggle since her 'birth'; her bright eyes glittering.

Her eyes rolled upwards as he placed his hand on her head, an odd feeling overcoming her. It was a simple gesture, it probably didn't mean anything to Talon, but to her... she looked back at him as he withdrew his hand and felt a sudden urge to grasp his hand with her own, or maybe hug him. The only contact she had had with feien up until this point was a handshake. Though it was a trivial thing, Talon's hand upon her head made her feel... warm, happy, almost like she belonged.

She blinked and turned her attention from herself to the object he held. Tilting her head slightly as he held out the golden circlet, she lifted her hands and her fingers carefully grasped the cool metal. She examined it at first, probably more than was necessary, and then placed it on her head; the feathers hanging down along the right side of her face. It didn't fit very well, but she smiled anyways. Maybe because of the fact that it was his made it special, or maybe it was because he was the first one to actually share things with her. Whatever the reason, at that exact moment in time she was really, truly happy.

"I like it," She said, taking it off and carefully handing it back to him. She was about to ask him more questions when she caught Raylan's eye. Blinking a few times, she realized that he wanted to speak with the older feien. She smiled and took a step back, not wanting to be in way.

Mama... Ares? Perhaps Raylan had a fairy godmother, too? That was interesting. But... she knew what Raylan was talking about when he said he had something to do. So she nodded to him with an encouraging smile, and then stood back to watch. At that moment, she noticed the pink haired feien with black wings was still around, and actively observing the family. Irisa hoped she didn't feel insulted by how apparently no one greeted her yet. Irisa herself, however, really... wasn't very good at greeting people. So she just looked at the other feien and waved a 'hello' wave as she continued watching her brother and father.

Talon seemed reluctant to let Ava step aside as the black and white male approached. He still didn't know him and therefore felt a bit upset that he was interfering with his conversation with his daughter. Before she could move too far away, he put an arm around her back, drawing her close and hugging her tightly for a brief moment, before allowing his eyes to turn to Raylan expectantly, letting Ava go again.

Ava blinked a few times and looked up at Talon as he hugged her, not exactly sure what to do. When he let her go she stepped back, a little behind and to the left of her father. When he let her go she stepped back, a little behind and to the left of her father. She looked over at Raylan and smiled, still slightly perplexed at the hug she had just received.

She felt happy, but slightly confused. They were family, so it was only natural to hug one another, right? Still... she felt a little awkward at him hugging her, they were nearly strangers, how could you so openly hug a stranger, family or not?

Raylan looked up at Talon then, still smiling his happy smile, his wings shifting a little on his shoulders. Folding his arms behind his back, he cantered his head to the left as he spoke.

"Mama says I look a lot like you," he commented, blinking his green eyes a few times. "She told me a lot about you, too. It's good to finally meet you, Papa."

Talon blinked once...then again, seeming thrown literally off-balance by what the boy had just said. Papa? He was....oh gods.

His head swum a moment, seeing three of his children in one place at the same time and he momentarily was at a loss for something to say before leaning in to have a better look at Raylan. This had become part of the routine, apparantly...investigating each child before accepting them. And...this one was a boy. The ONLY boy, as well. He cleared his throat.

"You're the one Tahki kept...?" he asked.

Raylan straightened up a little bit, nodding. "Yes, Mama took care of me," he replied, hoping that that was what the older feien was asking. Bowing a little bit, he continued to smile before hugging his father on his own.

"So, I seem to have three sisters," he commented, looking to Ava and Irisa for a moment. "I'm assuming Koobaberra is all right? I really would like to meet her sometime soon. Please tell her I said hello?"

Talon hesitated, allowing the hug, but taking a minute to return it "Yes, she--she's fine." His eyes skated over the three of them. "If I'd known you were all going to be here, I would have brought her..."

He gave himself a swift mental kick for not allowing Berra to come when she'd asked, but he'd assumed he would be by himself when he visited the shop.

He reached out, touching the middlemost of Raylan's ponytails and allowing himself a smirk. "What's your name?"

"My name is Raylan," he replied politely, returning his arms to behind his back.

"I guess all our loose ends are tied up, now, huh?" Irisa remarked with a smile. "Hmm... maybe we could all plan a family get-together for the future."

Or at the very least, swap phone numbers, come to think of it. Irisa didn't know how often her family could get together, but if they could all RANDOMLY meet together in the shop like this, then surely it couldn't be too hard, at least, which was nice. Maybe there was something to this 'fate' thing, after all.

Rhia opened the door to the shop partway, waving her hand once and catching Ava's eye. The demoness mouthed the words 'hey mushroom' and she raised both her hands, pointing to an imaginary wristwatch on her wrist. She raised one slender brow above her sunglasses and tilted her head questioningly.

Ava twiddled her fingers together for a moment, not wanting to leave but not wanting to upset Rhia. She sent a glance towards Irisa and then switched to Talon. Oh well, she supposed it was just as well. There would be three of them left, and it's not like they weren't talking alreay, they probably wouldn't mind if she excused herself.

"I have to get going," She said, trying to voice the comment to all three at once. "It was nice seeing you again, Irisa, hopefully we'll meet up again soon." She smiled to her sister and looked to Raylan, "I guess we're siblings then, too? I didn't know that, it was nice meeting you, and hopefully I'll see you again soon as well. If you can, tell Tahki I said hello please."

Ava turned to look up at Talon and for a moment was totally brain dead on what to say or do. Her wings fidgeted for a moment and then she shrugged, smiling as she stepped up to him and wrapped her arms around his waist; giving him a light - and very quick - hug. She stepped back and looked up at him again, still smiling. "Maybe I'll see you again, too. I think I'd like that very much. Tell Kookaberra I said hello for me please?"

She gave each feien a quick wave and flapped her wings, taking to the air and swooping out the door Rhia held open for her; her spike of hair bobbing up and down the whole way.

Note: Even though this post was reserved on the 30th, the diary entry itself was written up and entered on the 29th, after Rhia and Ava returned from the shop.

Ava's diary entry; written in small, block letters
I just got back from the shop, my second visit there. It's pretty late, and Rhia is giving me a look and saying I should get to bed soon. She's probably right, I'm really tired, but I'm also really happy. I got to see Irisa again, which was really nice. I also met my brother, Raylan, though I didn't really get a chance to talk to him. He looked alot like Irisa, only she's more two-tone than he is. His wings were really pretty, and I liked his hair. Hopefully I'll meet him again as well.

There were two other feien there as well, Ruya and Neruo. I met them both, though I didn't get to talk to either one of them for very long. Ruya has hair that's two different colors, I thought that was really neat, and she's got little wings on her head. Neruo is a really bright orange, and he's got curly hair. I think that's neat also, it must be really fun to have curly hair. It would be nice if I could see them again.

I also met my father, Talonfaust. At first I was nervous, I didn't really want to meet him, but then again I did. It's very frustrating for me to try and explain what I felt at first, but I guess the point is that I did meet him, and he was really nice. He hugged me, which confused me at first. I know we're family and all, but he doesn't really know me, or I him, you can't immediately love and accept someone just because they're part of your family, can you? I'm sure if I could do that, even for him, but I really liked him, so maybe next time I won't feel quite so hesitant. And he had the same hair as me! Now I know where I get it from. It was really annoying and I didn't like it at all at first, and Rhia still won't stop teasing me about it (that and the fact that I came from a mushroom). But he looked very handsome with his hair like that, and I think if he can live with it then so can I. He had this really pretty golden ring that he wore on his head, like a crown, and it had two feathers on it. I wanted to ask him about the feathers, but I never got the chance, Raylan wanted to meet him as well.

I've met all my family members except my sister, Kookaberra, and my mother. I'm a little bit hesitant in meeting Tahki I think, from what Rhia has told me she's very chaotic. Chaotic in a nice way, but Rhia didn't seem too thrilled in meeting her. Of course, I really should take Rhia's opinion by ear, because she doesn't like alot of people. I'm sure Tahki is really nice and that I'll like her. I think I'll be going to the shop more often if I can, I want to meet as many feien as possible. We're all very unique, and it's fun to see all the differences we can have.

I just realized something... I have no idea where any of my family lives. Or any of the other feien I've met so far. I guess that crushes my chance of meeting them again soon, doesn't it? I'm not sure when I'll be able to get back to the shop, and even when I do go, that doesn't guarantee any of them will be there. That was rather thoughtless of me; not to ask where they live. Maybe Rhia has a way of finding them, I'll have to ask her about that tomorrow.
