"Daddy! Lookie what I founds!" Isdra dragged the box that was half the size of her across the room. What the...? Paen got up from his seat on the couch and walked over to take the box from her. It wasn't too heavy, but then again it wasn't completely light either. "What's in it?!" The small girl shouted, overly curious about what the box contained.

"Where'd you get this from Is?" The small girl pointed at the door and tugged on Paen’s sleeve, urging him to open the box. Ripping the tape off the box, he opened the box to find a foam incased... something. Paen flipped the box upside carefully and shook the foam cube on to the table. Before Isdra could grab at it, Paen moved it away and opened the foam. “It...A jar?” Not only that, but it had a note inside.

Reaching in to grab the note, Paen waited until he felt the note... But he didn’t. "Wait a minute..." He bent to the left a bit to look in and saw his hand, but was above the note. Pushing his arm in farther, he looked again and noticed that he was still halfway to the note. Eventually it got to the point where he had his whole forearm in the jar and finally reached the note.

"Wha-what's going on here?" Paen stuttered, pulling the note out, along with the rest of his arm. Reading the front in and back, all he found was a phone number and the words 'Project 030. SHY' He set the note on the counter as he pondered if he should call the number of not. Things here in Gaia are getting stranger by the day.

A good hour later, Paen picked up the phone after finally deciding weather to call or not. The call was picked up buy a woman who had absolutly not clue what he was talking about. "I'm serious! I got this weird jar in the mail today. It's completely screwed up, too."

The woman was completely bewildered by the words he was say to her. "Sir, you must be mistaken. Only 2 jars were sent out of natural beta testers and both have called in," she muttered as she flipped through papers trying to figure out what he was talking about.

"Well, someone screwed up. I have a jar and it's weird. I had to reach my whole forearm into it to grab the note."

Beth, as she had introduced herself as earlier, could be heard talking to someone in the background. "Shy said that there must have been a fluke and a defective jar was sent out. It seems like it would still work, so he wants to know if you'd be willing to hold guardian-ship of it," she asked.

Paen blinked and looked over at Isdra, the child he had just recently gotten custidy of. Sighing, he asked, "What exactly am I taking guardian-ship of?" Beth quickly explained all the points. He would have a beta tester jar that was being used to find out if live offerings would work. He had to ask what the live offering was for before she explained it. The offering was to lure a pixie... 'What?! A pixie?!"

After Beth repeated her explaination another two times, the middle age man sighed. Could he handle another kid? Isdra was already a handful, what with her double joint abilities. "Ok, fine. I'll take the weird jar."

It only took five more hours before his head started to hurt again. "What the heck am I gonna put as an offering." Isdra had already suggested bugs, birds, and her pet fish, but he had refused them all. "Well... The jar is defective anyway... Let's see if this works." Paen reached over to his side table and grabbed his necklace he had gotten from a friend. His friend had said it was a foosa tooth, whatever that was.

He pulled the tooth out of it's metal holder and dropped it into the jar. Flashing electric shocks came off the tooth and it began pulsing. "What the hell?!" Pean blinked and stared at jar, watching as the shocks got larger. "I... I guess it worked..."

As usual, Paen yawned, walked to the kitchen, drank from the milk jug, and sat in the living room and watched TV for a while. It was his normal routine that he followed in a comatose state and normally it wasn’t disturbed, but thanks to that jar, he couldn’t today. On it way to that squishy blob called a couch he caught sight of the jar he had carelessly put a tooth in. It wasn’t a tooth anymore.

Ok… I’m seeing things… Shaking his head, Paen made himself cozy on the couch and turned on the TV, watching it for a while. Though, his normally impaired brain was up and running today and all he could think about was jar. Glancing over at the jar again, he blinked rapidly to clean his eyes from the sleep blurs. When it didn’t work he stood and walked to the bath room, taking a shower in the amazing course of five minutes, and got dressed. Looking in the mirror, he made thoroughly sure his eyes had no blurs and walked back out.

It was still there. That cat cough up was still in the jar. Paen was starting to get a bit freaked out and bugged by this re-accruing sight obstruction. He walked over and poked the jar and waited to see if the blob would do anything. It didn’t, so he grabbed a rule from his kitchen drawer and stuck it in. The jar seemed to still have space warp problem, so that was ok, but when he finally reached the fluff hair-ball and touched it seemed to freak out and slammed into the sides of the jar. Yeah… This is really f-ed up…

Pulling his arm out, he sighed. He was really beginning to hope this was a dream and it really wasn’t acting like one, so he was a bit twitch at the moment. Coffee would probably be a solution, he hoped, so he quickly made a pot. It didn’t help. When Isdra walked out of her room, he gave a sigh of relief and picked her up. “Hun, tell me what’s in the jar.”

“A fur blob, Daddy!... Why’d you put a fur blob in the jar, Daddy?” Oh no…. I’m not crazy…

Ok… So ya’ know that jar? Well is hasn’t stopped glowing, but other then that it hasn’t done anything new. Still a floating fur ball and all. I’m a bit freaked out of what might happen next. Watch it be like what happened with Isdra. I guess I should be waiting for a weird lady to show up soon and make it turn into a kid…

This Gaia place is just too weird. All this strange stuff keeps happening and I think I’m starting to see things. I could swear I saw a person with a tail yesterday. And one with wings! I really, really am starting to hope I’m crazy now… Why did I have to move to such a far away place?

Oh crap… I think Isdra u—

Yeah… She was up… And attempting to play with the fuzz ball. If is going to turn into something else I suggest it does it soon, before it becomes a playtoy… Got to go…

Ugh... A brief mental cry was given as the tailed boy was dragged outside by his elbow. "You are going to learn how to swim weather you like it or not. You have nothing to lose," except maybe my life. Another mental whine. Glaring at his less than concerned sibling, Malachi pulled away, determined not to go. This was going to be a long... long swim session it seemed. "Get back here!"

"No!" He cried, running in the opposite direction of the river. He was simply enthrolled by the idea of swimming in a river. "Could we at least go to a pool?!" A whine of complaint was given, right as he, again, became a captive. By the look on Isdra's face, she was getting less and less amused by the second.

"No, because if we go to a poll it will be overflowing with people and that is the worst why to learn how to swim." His last ditch effort had fall, so he finally gave in and followed into the forest. It wasn't incredibly close to their house, but Isdra had driven there, so he could care less. Plus, he was quite fond of wilderness and was quite at home around it. The river was what he was afraid of. Everytime her looked at it, it grossed him out. A green slimy film flooting over it, miscellenious fishing items bobbing around it. Quite a disturbing sight.

Turns here and there, down a slope and up another. The boy was slightly amazed with how quickly his sister was, but she was a fighter. She was a sight to see during training, dashing to and frow. True, she had the weirdest weapons he'd ever seen. That was a given. Who has pointy glove things as weapons? Though, with all her agility and flexability, she's amazing. Even if her complains about her and disagrees, he's defintally quite fond of her.

"HERE!" The pinked haired girl shouted happily, turning around and presenting it as if it was a show.

Malachi scuffed at her display and went on to say, "What's the big deal, it just a gro-... Wooh..." The complain was stopped mid-sentance as he gazed at the area. It wasn't a smily, gross river like he'd thought. Quite the contrary, it was beautiful. Shiny, clean water, fish everywhere. It was perfect! "...Nevermind..."

The older child burst into laughter and oh so casully walked over to him. "Is it really that pretty...?"

"Yeah..."

"THAN TAKE A CLOSER LOOK!" A brutal push and Malachi went sailing into the water. Surfacing as soon as he could manage, a death was given, but Isdra was busy stripping to her bikini. b***h... was all her could think, before he was forced dodge his sibling.

"Watch it!" And so the day went. Malachi learned how to swim and managed to get his revenge on his sibling for pushing him in. This came in the form of untying her top and hiding it. Though, it back fired and only caused him more pain. And the battle continued, that was, until their father called yelling about how they should have been home and hour ago.
