I hate the whole tax thing at Otakon, its a pain, cause I'm already paying tax on all my supplies so its not fair! Ah well. I signed the form or whatever so I could do it last year but I never turned it in or submitted tax, I'm not a buisness and I don't really make that much money, plus I don't even know for sure how much I sold, I was just making and selling as much as I could sine it was my first real experience doing it. Do you think I'll get in trouble or have trouble getting a table this year? Do they keep track of that stuff? Plus if you're sharing a table with several people I assume you all have to do that to sell anything?

Of course you have to sell something at a table, that's the point, I sell crafts which I frequently make while I'm sitting there. I think I missed the point of your response?

I think you only get to be next to a person if you BOTH list each other as wanting to sit there anyway...
Argh I reserved yesturday I hope I got a table... *waiting for response email* They better hurry if they want money by the July 4th deadline. Anyone get the response email yet?

Looks like someone different is running it and they've made some changes for what I can only hope will be for the better. At least it is bigger.

Tables are sold out, and a preliminary list was posted for who got them. All others were automatically put on the waiting list and any subsequent table requests will also. If you haven't registered for the Otakon forums I recommend you do so since that's the place to find out what's going on with AA, the director has been posting in the forum with status updates. They're still not accpeting money yet, they're still working on a .pdf of the form you need to send with payment.

I got my space for Artists alley! *is all happy* I just got around to checking my e-mail box today, so I still need to send in money to officially reserve it and what not. This'll be my first con actually IN artists alley, so I'm actually rather nervous, and I'm hoping I'll have enough stuff, or I'll sell all the stuff I bring.
I'm also worried bout getting everything set up in time for Otakon. Ahh! I'm all worried! *sighs*

The tax thing... they have to request that you turn in the forms legally. But if you read between the lines on the forums, it's heavily implied that you don't actually have to charge tax because nobody will ever enforce it.

I would, but I can't do much. I can so some doodles... some plymer clay stuff... I can make Iorn-on t-shirts, and Yopull have to see my graphics shop. And I can write, and a select few other things. Maybe alex can come next year and draw, because I can't.
