Well, i don't actually have battle for middle earth yet...

I maintain that my Dreamcast is the best of the consoles I have. Not that it had the best games (though it having the Sonic the Hedgehog series helped a heck of a lot) but it was really ahead of it's time.
I love the little memory cards that you could download games to and carry them around with you (I raised Chao's) and also it was online before any of the other consoles. I spent ages playing Phantasy Star Online. And you didn't have to pay subscriptions to it or anything! A fantastic game. The first time I slayed a dragon. I miss going online like that. And the graphics still stand up to the test of time - though maybe that's cos I ain't too fussy about em.

I recently completed Farenheit...AKA Indigo Prophecy in America. My Makai Kingdom savefile is oh-so-very close to completion. I'm playing Baldur's Gate II, Total Annihilation, Robin Hood: Legend of Sherwood, I tried to play Silent Hill 4 again but couldn't bring myself to, and I had a quick go on Disgaea. I must play Tales of Symphonia again, but my Gamecube's lid keeps jamming. Oh, and all of the Infocom games. Text-based rules!
I dunno... I need some new games. And I need to clear 3GB on my hard drive so I can copy Baldur's Gate II off my iPod. Where has my 15GB gone?! Where?!?! Maybe a de-frag is in order, but Macs shouldn't need to do that. Curses! My G4 is going senile! I touch a PC, and it starts working again. I touch a Mac, and it goes insane and starts acting like me. Why is this?
P.S. Chu Chu Rocket was brilliant! Just try to name another console game written in Flash.

I love tactics games, but I majorly sucked at Disgaea for some reason, so I ended up playing some other game instead (FFX-2, if memory serves). Though I loved throwing around those exploding penguins.

Also, in Disgaea, if you make a character pick up someone who has picked someone else up, and then get someone else to pick them up, and so on, you can make towers of people. Quite useful on long maps.

Disgaea is so addictive and wonderful.... I remember crying when I accidentally deleted my first save file and had to start again...

Prinnies, yeah, them's the ones! Whenever I screwed up and knew I was going to restart, I just started chucking the Prinnies everywhere. A good way to vent frustration!
Disgaea's combat system was quite complex. Not only could you lift things, but there were the color tiles that had different attributes, and you could hit those things to cause them to change into other colors... and get chain reactions... and sometimes accidentally kill yourself... gonk
That game was hard. Or maybe it was just me. Perhaps I wasn't leveling up enough...

It is quite hard and it has an awful lot to do in it. Like going into the Item World to level up items. Considering the number of items and the amount of times you change them it was almost impossible to really us that well except on extra special items. But it did give you a chance to level up plenty.
Also I was one of these sad people who sat there with a pad and pencil and worked out the order for changing the coloured tiles to give me the ultimate bonuses... Just occasionally it was impossible. Which I thought was a bit mean.

Yeah, there was a lot to do in that game, so I guess someone with a lot of time and patience might really like it. Sadly, I have neither of those two things.
The court petitioning thing was a cool idea. When those bastards started rejecting my requests, I attacked them.
And died.
Miserably.

Last game I played was Shadow the Hedgehog on my beloved GameCube. I'm now stuck on Shadow, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Heroes and Sonic Advance 3. Every so often I'll go back to Mega Collection and Gems Collection - beating Metal Sonic into pulp with Amy Rose and her pika-pika hammer thing is strangely therapeutic... provided Metal Sonic doesn't wipe the floor with you...
Yeah, bit of a Sonic fan, can you tell? wink

Warnersister Yeah, bit of a Sonic fan, can you tell? wink DW Sonic Rules! scream Sonic the Hedgehog was the first game I ever played. On the Sega Mega Drive. Though Knuckles was always my fav... I like plugging Sonic 2 into Sonic and Knuckles so that you could play Sonic 2 with Knuckles. It was soo much easier that way, what with the flying and the climbing... I've not played many of the new new Sonic Games. I was on Sonic Adventure 2 as my last Sonic games...

I've been working my way through the hidden shrines in Final Fantasy 1 on the FF1/2 GBA game. I finally got all the way to the bottom of Windwhisper Cove. There's really bad critter down there! eek kept getting killed over & over, but finally, while I was on vacation in July, I offed the varmint & got a sword with power that is supposed to be linked to the user's HP. On to the next shrine--if I can remember where they are after so long! xd I also recently got the Phantasy Star collection for GBA. I loved the original games, so we'll see how well they did on this....

I am looking forward to Kingdom Hearts 2 so so so so so so so so so so much! We have to wait longer for it here in the UK than in America. The injustice of it all. To kill the time I've been playing the Kingdom Hearts Chain Of Memories game on the GBA. It's weird but kinda fun. The story has been almost non-existant so far though and what there has been confuses me... Deliberately I think...
Also you fight with cards and I keep running out in Boss battles. It's really annoying.
I'm looking forward to Okami too which is a game I saw a demo of awhile back and which is hopefully coming out around the same time as Kingdom Hearts 2. It's a really beautiful looking game. But I haven't heard much news about it since I saw it. You play as a wolf who has to paint colour back into the world. I think. The demo was in Japanese.

I recently got an Xbox 360 as a birthday present. I got no games yet, but despite my hatred of Microsoft, the 360 is a pretty awesome console. I'm waiting for Mass Effect to come out, and am gathering together money to get Dead Rising. I'd get Elder Scrolls IV, but...well, Daggerfall was so much better. I think I'll just borrow Morrowind off a friend. Anyway, I must away to bed. Fare thee well, Guild.
