My smallest is a five gallon, which is currently being used for a fish that I really want to kill (it's a cavefish that I swear is immortal or something).
My middle-size one is a fifteen gallon, which is used for my guppies.
My biggest one is a 33 gallon, which is used for the rest of the fish like the neon and gold tetras, the zebra danios, the majority of the ghost shrimp, the chinese algae eater, and the plecostomus.
I used to have lots of snails, but the shrimp killed them off.

But this current one (who's named Cleo) is just really shy. And I had another one before these two, named Algie (yeah I know it's spelled Algae, but hey, I was a little kid at the time). Algie was so laid-back and lived for two years, and was never agressive or anything. I'd say that the chinese algae eaters have actual personalities, because there are those who are mean, and those who are curious of what that thing on the other side of the glass wall is. And about the cavefish... well, I don't want to kill him. I hope he dies some time soon... so then I can use the tank again for my guppies (since I need more tanks for them x_x).

My Gouramis used to be shy...now they act like they own me lol it seems more like your latest one is just younger and you could be lucky and have a nice fish but the first chines catfish you owned (algie) probably wasnt old enough to hit that stage in his life where they get mean. I've read alot of stuff saying that they start out nice and become agressive with age. Considering that most fish live at least 5 years (besides guppies) algie was probably too young and the same for your current cat, I hope you dont have a special bond with any of the fish that it shares a tank with sweatdrop

hmmm okay lets see here, in my room I have two 29's. One has a turtle and some littel convicts (convicts are for tutrtle food) The other tank has a breeding pair of convicts, and a brown bullhead. yes I know it is quite the odd combo. In the office at work, I help care for a 50 (mostly a catfish adn predator tank) and a 29 and a 30. In the basement I think there are five 10 gallon tanks for breeding (both pink and regular convicts) plus a 20 long and a 55 for quarentine tanks. Then there are three other turtle tanks also, one is a 29 with three baby snapping turtles, another is a 29 with two eastern box turtles, and another is a 55 with 2 painted rurtles and a snappign turtle. There is also a 5 gallon tank with a grass snake, and another 55 with a black rat snake and a water snake.

I have 2 aquariums, a planted 10 gallon and a 30 gallon, wich is more my dad's. In the 10 gallon I have 2 blood honey goramies and 1 ram. In the 30 gallon I have 3 goldfish, 3 marble mollies and 1 pleco. The goldfish will be moved to a pond later on, but the house the pond is at is being renovated, and without the dogs in the yard the neighbourhood's heron eats all the fish. We lost 7 gold fish to it, most around 6 years old and 2 of wich we had bred ourselfs. Now only remains one comet, the bigest of the bunch, 30 cm. I also have a breeding tank curently filled with baby mollies.
One question though, what can you feed a pleco when you run out of algea and the petstore runs out of vegetarian flakes and pellets? I tried cut up lettuce (raw) but it ignored it.

Ah thank you so much! I was rather worried, the store says the'll restock next month. This does explain why my pleco was knawing the driftwood, thank goodness I have a fair amount of sticks. It's going to be cucombers for him this month then, i'll see if the supermarkt has any tomorrow. Thank you. biggrin

Some supermarkets that sell dog/cat food only have the verry basic flake foods but if you have a wallmart or target then they'll have it

It's touristic, so the economie is based on the came and go of tourists, wich has dropped since 9/11. and it's low season, so we get less supply containers.
