I'm anxious about the movie, as always. I don't expect it to measure up to the book, because none of them really have. I always worry that they're going to cut out my favorite scenes, and so far they have without fail. But I am pleased that the pensieve scene, one of my favorite scenes in the entire series, won't be cut. So I'm looking forward to that. 3nodding

I agree, Have any of you seen pictures of Luna and Umbridge! It makes me mad! Luna has blond hair and small eyes, and Umbridge does not look toad like at all! I wish they made the movies more like the books, its really depressing YumiAiko I doubt the movies going to be any good. They obviously can't compare the movies with the books because that'spointless. Okay, look at the facts. Have you seen the last movies? Yeah... There's your answer. It's not going to compare to the book. The least we can all do is hope the movie will be good, not garantee.

I think Luna and Umbridge look okay.
I think this movie may follow the book closest because, not to totally dis the 5th book or anything, but despite the fact it is the longest the least amount really happens in it. So unlike past books that were action-packed, this one is a little slower.
The following scenes are confirmed to be in the movie: -Harry teaching the D.A. in the Room of Requirement -Ron and Hermione practising spells together (for the shippers no doubt) -Hermione blasting Ron against a wall due to a 'patronizing, sexist comment' – Emma Watson confirmed this in an interview with the Australian talk show "Sunrise". (This is not in the book.) (I repeat, for the shippers) -Harry's trial at the Ministry -Umbridge sacking Trelawney -Fred and George's mayhem as they leave Hogwarts (I should hope so!) -Umbridge and Inquisitorial Squad restraining Harry, Ron and Hermione right before Umbridge is led into the Forbidden Forest to be attacked by centaurs (During this scene Harry gets slapped, perhaps by Umbridge, though this is not confirmed. He is not slapped in the book.) -Professor McGonagall being hit by Stunning spells when Umbridge and Ministry officials try to take Hagrid away. -McGonagall's recovery, where she is in a wheelchair. -Ron and Hermione as prefects -Great Hall scenes -Potions classes (YEE!) -Hagrid introducing his fifth-year Care of Magical Creatures class to Thestrals. -Scenes at Hagrid's Hut -Occlumency lessons -Severus Snape's Worst Memory in the Pensieve -Grawp- and centaur-related scenes -Thestrals -At least one scene with Peeves was filmed, though not assuredly included in the final cut -O.W.L. exams -Scenes relating to Privet Drive, including the Dementor attack, and at least one scene with Arabella Figg, due to her casting. -Snowy Opening Sequence -Kreacher-related scenes were confirmed by David Heyman, however there has been no casting announcement in relevance to Kreacher's voice artist. -Harry arriving at Grimmauld Place in the Summer. The scene will take place near sunset. -The Order of the Phoenix getting ready to fly to Grimmauld Place from Privet Drive -Moody, Tonks, Shacklebolt, and the Weasleys escorting Harry to Platform 9¾. -Harry walks at King's Cross Station and sees Voldemort. (This is not in the book.) -Harry and Cho's kiss -Arthur Weasley at St. Mungo's -Hogsmeade scenes -Hagrid, Harry and Hermione visiting Grawp. -Department of Mysteries/Ministry of Magic scenes
Scenes that have been cut from the movie: The following scenes or plot elements have been confirmed not to be in the movie adaptation. -Molly Weasley's boggart at Grimmuald Place. -Knight Bus scenes -Scenes with Dobby. -Harry's interview with Rita Skeeter in the Quibbler (!!!) -Lucius Malfoy and Fudge talking in the Ministry after Harry's trial. -Quidditch scenes (Ah well) -Slytherin chants of "Weasley is our King" (I was looking forward to that sad )
Sorry for such a long post. But, as you can see, they have prety much everything important, plus some.

I looked at the credits and a bunch of other things concerning the fifth movie, and I was pleased to see that they had actors for young Snape and the Marauders. I was really afraid that they would cut that part out of the movie.
Now all I have to worry about is if they do Fred and George any justice. The parts of the book concerning those two were my favorites.

I'd like to hope that they will do a good job and not cut major parts out but i understand when they do cut the parts out. Can you imagine how ling the movie would be if they did it all according to the book. They would have to make some changes but hopely nothing to drastric.

The movie was really good, compared to most of the other movies. I think it stuck with the book the most. Of course, they change things around a bit, as they always do, but the story is still clear and truer to the book than the others. The "no peeves" thing has pissed me off since the first movie, especially when book 5 came out. He has such a good part. There weren't any ghosts at all in this movie. But, out of all the movies I've seen, this is the only one I can say I actually like. So far. And, yes, the "Pensive scene" is in the movie, though it's a little bit different (duh). Young Snape is HOT!!! Woot! I LOVE SNAPE!! It's getting good folks, and it'll only get better with book 7 coming this SATURDAY!!! I pity anyone who will be in front of me when they start selling the books, because I will be at a point where it won't bother me to push a little kid into the dust for my copy. Sure, I'll feel like crap later, but after I read the damn thing.
In a nutshell, I think the movie was good.
P.S. The younger cast's acting abilities greatly improved for this movie, just from movie 4 to movie 5. Go, Radcliff, GO!!

I just am upset that they havnt even introduced Narcissa yet, especially because she has a HUGE part in *insertsname*'s death in half blood prince....The unbreakable vow and all...And she isnt even in the books yet!! It makes me angry...><

There's your answer. It's not going to compare to the book. The least we can all do is hope the movie will be good, not garantee. Don't compare media's. It will leave you bitterly disappointed. As a movie and not comparing to the book I thought I was fantastic. They made everything tie in really well. Even using Cho as the betrayer of the DA was brilliant, I think. The screen writers did do a brilliant job. Everyone complains when something is cut out but would any of you want to watch a 800 minute movie? Even if you are hard core Harry Potter fans? I wouldn't. That would take years to film.

Yes, I really enjoyed the movie, despite the things that were cut and changed. I don't compare them to the books, really. I thought Bellatrix and Luna were both great. "I killed Sirius Black! AHAHAHAHAHA!" and "You're just as sane as I am." were two of my favorite lines. But my favorite overall was "Obviously.".
