Lifting a needle filled with anaesthetic she smiled,
"I will don't worry, we'll have you right as rain in a couple of hours."
With that she placed the needle into Taos restrained arm and he was soon asleep, Carmel watched as the fear in his eyes subsided and he fell unconscious,
"This shouldn't be too hard, scalpel first."
Slicing deep into the mutilated skin on Taos face the blood began to flow freely and drip onto the table,
"Some suction here people, get a transfusion just in case anything goes wrong."
Carmel to continued to slice and chop at Taos body, through flesh and into bone as she made the necessary alterations to his human form. She had all but finished and was ready to re-graft the skin to his new excuse for bone when a loud crash rumbled through the basement floors, this was closely by alarms and sirens,



"Damn it we need to finish this now!"
With that the doors of the locked surgery room exploded open, the shattered glass sprayed the room and the door blew across the main area in pieces one of this catching an unsuspecting surgeon and tearing him in two at the waist, as the smoke cleared a group of security guards stood there, turning to them Carmel gave a very annoyed glare,
"I don't care what's going on I need to this finish this experiment, this man is one of only a few viable test subjects, direct orders from X himself."
The security began their advance into the room...

"You cannot do this! Are you insane! Wait I know you- you're that stern faced security woman from upstairs. Chi Vu Tze...."

"Now's our chance I wont let this mans life be in vain."
Grabbing Tao from the table and un-strapping him she threw his arm over her shoulder and began to make a break for it out the emergency exit and into the elevator,
"You wont be safe with me if your in this condition..."
Carmel said before realising she was talking to a very heavily sedated man who was verging on the brink of death, dragging him out of the elevator she noticed a storage closet,
"This will have to do..."
Throwing Taos almost lifeless body into the small closet she hurried back into the elevator and made her way to the most secure floor she could think of, X's private floor."

-Lands at the given co-ordinates but notices nothing at all-
Hmm am I early? what's going on?

Moving to the elevator she hit the button quickly and awaited it arriving on the floor, nothing appeared to be happening,
"Damn it, the lockdown must have shut off all the elevators..."
Her heart pounding she raced through the door into the stairwell, a loud crack almost deafened, a shotgun shot, as sparks flew up from the railings at either side of the stairwell, a voice called out from below her...

"s**t..."
Carmel garbbed her shotgun and ran back into X's floor,
"Theres got to be a secret way out of this level.... X was too paranoid not to have one..."
Searching around for a while as time slowly ran out and the space between Chi and Carmel closed she finally found something that could be an emergency escape, behind the extravagant fireplace in the office. Removing the back off the main fireplace she smiled as she crawled into a venting system that had been specially designed to allow people to easily move around in, closing the space behind her grinned,
"Now to the helipad..."
