Front Page Update
Slowly but surely I am updating the front page. For now, there are two new banners and some new information. Please check it out and tell me what you think. More will be added tomorrow, once I get home from work. I hope to have a cleaner, more sophisticated [yet still very interesting] home page by the time I'm through. Don't know if I'm succeeding yet, though. I'm a tad too tired to be very interesting. sweatdrop

New Mod
TanyaDawn has been a major help to me the past week with locating threads for deletion and moving. She also helped compile the updated list of students and teachers for the WSP and the list of members to be PMed due to inactivity. Tomorrow she and I will begin PMing each and every one of them. eek
To commemorate the awesome help she has been, I have bumped her up to a mod so she doesn't have to wait for me to get on to tell me the other threads that need to be moved, etc.
Thank you Tanya for being such a great helper when I was sick and really needed you - and for agreeing to aid in my totally bizarre scheme of PMing the super inactive members. eek Not many would have willingly agreed to aid in such a task!

Guild Third Year Anniversary
The guild's third anniversary is coming up in April. To commemorate I would like to host a month long party and loads of contests up through May. Therefore, tomorrow I will be posting a party thread and a donations thread with a mule account so I don't confuse any possible donations with my quest cash.
Not sure what all contests there will be yet, but there will be lots of stuff to do for the party, so be sure to check this post every other day or so for more updates on it. 3nodding

The WSP will be cancelled as of March 1st if there is no more activity in it. Look in the thread for more details.

Tanya and I have begun the massive PMing effort to PM each of the 131 AWOL members of our guild. After that, our efforts may turn to each of you lurkers that have more than 10 posts. So post away, guys!

Inactivity/Stagnancy at the Guild:
In the member list we do not have your join date. If you were one of the recently added members, we cannot tell until you tell us. So please do not take offense to our PMing you or claim we are "harrassing you". That was not our intention and it is not the purpose of the PMs. We are attempting to get people here so the "stagnant" guild is no longer stagnant.
Our guild is only as active or as serious as you make it. Therefore, if you want a serious discussion, make one. Please do not sit around waiting until someone else makes it because it's unlikely it will happen. If you want more topics in the guild or more chatter, I'm afraid you'll have to help make it happen. Don't sit and stop coming in less and less simply because no one else is. They're probably thinking the same thing you are - that if no one else is posting, there's nothing to reply to, so you visit less frequently until you simply stop. That only makes the issue worse, it does not solve the lack of people here.
If you want more activity here, make it happen. You want more serious and extended discussion? Make it happen. If you want us to create all the topics so you can simply reply to them - make them because we probably won't make the ones YOU want!
Simply put - you want something done around here then you need to take the effort to make it happen. If you want a mod or leader to do something, PM us. It's just a quick button click and then you can spill the idea, complaint, etc. no problem. Since Yue is in Spain, if you have an issue with the guild, PM either TanyaDawn or I.
Notice - If you PM her about me or vice versa, we'll probably discuss it. We've been discussing each PM we've received and what we can do to solve the "stagnancy" of the guild. So if you have a complaint about any of the mods here, you can PM either her or I and the message will be heard by both. ^_^

Sub-Forum Crazy:
No, I'm not crazy. Yes we have lots of sub-forums. Why? For my sanity. And yours.
It drove me absolutely nuts when I would go through the threads and go, "I should probably move this one, because the topic belongs here BUT it's based for extended discussion...so it belongs here..." or the more often "The topic is based here, but technically it could go here..or here". So, for my sanity I proposed more sub-forums and easier topics so that I can have an easier time of it when I go through each thread [yes, I have gone through EVERY thread created here. And all of it's posts!] and decide if it's in the right place, where it would be better to garner more attention and so on.
So, I ask that you please follow the guidelines in each sub-forum [both new and old as they will change throughout the day as I update], and help me keep my sanity!
Also, the new sub-forums are a way for each person here who complained of no serious discussion or claimed the want of poll whoring to have a home within the guild where they can do what they like best and still be part of our family. We cherish each of you and if you have a request, please let me know so we can try to accomodate you. But, if you request a specific sub forum, also be sure to include in the PM what it's specifics are, how your stuff would not fit into ANY of the other forums, and be sure to donate to help us get there. We'll review each suggestion and weigh it equally with the others so we can make the best decision for the guild.
Now let's get active here, folks! You have a LOT of thigns you can do here - host extended discussions and debates in a thread where they will get the most attention, poll-whore, gold whore with your minishops, participate in classes, and have a ball at the anniversary party and enter into a LOT of contests! So get going and let's get rid of the stagnancy this guild used to carry.
Mass Move/Update: Also, please be patient while I go through each sub-forum and update it's guidelines or add a guideline thread to the sub-forum. And while I move each thread. sweatdrop It may take me a while, so please bear with me. When I've finished, I'll post a list of threads that have been moved and give their direct links to make things easier on everyone. ^_^
New Sub-forums/New Guidelines: There are 4 new sub-forums so please be sure to check those out if you're missing a topic. Also! Each subforum has new guidelines, so please read those before you post. If you have any questions, post them in the Sub-forum Thread OR PM Feadraug. I'll get back to you from that account as soon as I can.

It would be far too difficult to go back and find all the threads that Chels and myself moved, so if you're looking for your thread, please stop to think about which subforum it would fit best in. If you look in that subform and you don't find it there, check Extended Discussion because one of us might've deemed it proper for there.

Certain issues have been brought to my attention and as much as I hate it...I will be holding a serious and absolute crackdown on the guild.
This means, spammish posts not in the spam forum WILL be deleted.
Reprimands and banning WILL occur for trolling and anything against the rules. [Which I WILL be updating today!]
The mass PMs WILL be followed through within SEVEN days. Which means every one of you that received a PM about inactivity WILL be banned in SIX days. Those PMs will be sent out throughout the day. From Feadraug and Elf Dae. Concerns on this subject are to be sent to Feadraug.
After that my next project is PMing everyone else about activity.
All other things I will be cracking down on will be updated as I note or think of them.

Reprimands and Banning If you see an activity in the guild that you feel is worthy of reporting, please go here. [Will be linked out soon!] Here is how reprimands and banning will take place, until further notice. These rules are created out of necessity formed by you, the guild members. Please understand this is not how I like to see a guild go, but it must be done because things are starting to get a little out of control. We are now following a spin on the "three strikes you're out" rule. From now on, if you are reported or a mod catches you doing something against the rules [we do have new ones, so watch for them here and the "first post" thread], you will receive a posted and PMed reprimand. You get three of those. Then you get a three day ban. After this first ban, you get 2 strikes, followed by a 5 day ban. 2 more strikes, a week long ban. Do it again and you are permanently banned. Exceptions may be made under extenuating circumstances. A mod will discuss with you the terms of your ban in the PM sent out by the guild automaticall after we switch you to "ban" status. Any questions? Submit them to Feadraug for perusal.

New mod, New rule As Chels stated, I'm the new mod. For those of you who dont remember and are doing the "wha...?" expression, I have been a memeber of the guild for... years. sweatdrop I added a new rule this afternoon which should not come as a shock to those who read chels announcement. The rule, as seen in the rules post, is below v. "5) Literacy, please. We're not asking for perfect grammar and spelling, but please spell/grammar check and remove the worst and most glaring errors in your posts. This is a place for intellegent conversation- please act intellegent. " This means exactly what it says. I am not asking for perfection, espcially as I myself am the Queen of Typos. But if you ever want to be taken seriously around here, you need to sound literate. Thus, if your posts are horridly grammatically incorrect, littered with spelling errors, or just plain full of leet and netspeak, I will go in and edit it. No warning. If you dont want me fiddling around your posts- fix it yourself.
