Peep_erz sugarnew182 Bluedragon_07 i hate marching, but i play bassoon for parades and clarinet for field, i want to continue bassoon, but in a concert band, not marching Thats weird. We were never allowed to march bassoon in parades (thankfully) though in middle school we did march them on the field... but I guess that is because we didnt really march and play. I love marching my mello... I wish you liked marching. we used to joke about marching bassoon. you actually did it?!??! i still do, there used to be two of us, but now im the only one left, and im better than the tubas lol

I play bassoon, have been playing it for four years. In the sixth grade we went around trying the instruments and they gave us a score, 1-10, 10 being the best. I got a nine on everything cept clarinet, which I got an 8 on, and bassoon, which i got a 10 on. I play saxophone right now though. ^_^ I love my bassoon.

That means I have to take my bassoon back and forth from school so that I can practice. I like playing it, but I wish it was easier to take home.

Hey everyone! I am an oboe player, by way of the saxophone. I was just dropping in to say hi, though I will note I saw you talking about marching bassoon, and I joke about marching oboe. Has anyone actually done it? My band director claims I would break too many reeds.

I was going to join All Illinois Marching Band as a Sax, but it was cancelled this year. I will have to tell my band director that there really are marching oboes. Anyway, how long have you all been playing double reeds? It is my first year, but technically, it would be my 2nd, because I took private lessons last year, and I would say I am fairly good.

Bassoon! Yeah! but concert season's so far away *sniff* crying Well, at the moment I play xylophone, but next year I'll either be one of the two drum majors or I'll be on bass drum, b/c at the moment there are only two for next year, so I'm just being nice. NOt to mention, bass drum isn't all that difficult, just heavy.

This is my second year playing oboe, but it's my....second instrument, I guess. Flute and picc are my first. But I only play oboe in the symphonic band when the spring semester rolls around.
