"And does their expression change?" She hoped that her Soul was smiling because it was content, not because it was plastered on its... ..... bubble because of however it had been created. "And... I know some of it was mentioned in the letter, but... where are they from, again?"
Natalie was still smiling at her little black bubble of cuteness, taking in everything - the weird sausage-curl (reminded her a bit of the hairstyle 'Blanche' was wearing in their production), the tiny little cracks, the sheer adorableness.

"Not exactly. There are energy fluctations around the Souls that change from day to day, which would imply that they aren't neccessarily dormant - but rather, preparing."
Unless it was a weird sort of dormancy, anyway. But Hadrian wasn't too worried about that; he was more concerned about the science part of it all, while Dacian was the one more interested in the actual Soul.
"Expression - they seem to stay mostly the same, though there have been some slight changes. We think it may just reflect their general mood."
Folding his arms across his chest, the man took a moment to try and think of exactly what it was that Dacian put in those notes - did he explain everything? He was sure the basics of it were explained, but...
"They're from our world. Did Dacian's note explain all of that properly?"
He really hoped it did...he was horrible at these explanations.

"Uhm... Yeah, it explained it fine," Stephan fibbed, making a mental note to actually read all of those papers he had accepted and signed when he got back to his apartment. If he could find them at least. So their expression showed their mood, kind of like a person. Well, they were people, or would be, so it made sense, "So will they remember anything?" That was the thing he was most interested in truly. If they came from a different world, and their soul was what was bound, it had to carry some sort of memories. That was what made up a person's soul, wasn't it? Memories, lessons, experience, all of that? That's what he thought at least. It was better than assuming they were just some mystical energy puff.

"It explained it mostly. Well, the basics. The letter said there was some sort of problem on your world, and you... rescued these Souls, I guess. Is that about right? The thing I was confused on... are they the souls of the dead, or people you really did rescue?"
Natalie took one last good look at Ophiera before heading back to Hadrian and Stephan.
"We can go see Stephan's now," she said, smiling at the two men. Well. At the man and the fratboy.

"People that were rescued."
Those infected with the Virus - they had to be left behind. Otherwise it would be spread to another world...and those already dead, well - they weren't too sure about that. For all they knew, Souls of the dead could have been brought along as well.
"And...well, we aren't too sure on the memories yet. They don't remember when they're very young, but we think they may begin to remember as they grow older."
Ismet had actually had a dream or two that Hadrian was suspicious about; it wasn't like the boy to have nightmares. But he had. And he had his suspicions that those might have been actual memories...
But that aside, he gave a nod and led the two of them out and towards the other room; this one was similar to the other in every way, except that the Soul in the center was different.

When they entered the second room, Stephan was a bit more curious. After all, who wouldn't be curious about something they'd be needing to take care of for well, most of its life. Of course, he couldn't have thought of that with Natalie's curiousity in the first room, that would have been silly. Now, instead of standing back against the wall, he wandered right up close to it, much closer than she had gone. He stared at the strange look on the thing's face, he thought it was a face at least, for a while, seeming deep in thought.
He was crouched down, trying to get a look at all angles, then suddenly, he stood straight up again, turning to face Hadrian, "Ok, so what's wrong with it?" Truth be told, it looked kind of... Slow. A few bulbs short of a chandelier. But that could have just been the odd way it seemed to be sticking it's tongue out. And the colors on it, silver and purple... Guess that meant he was going to have a little daughter then, in a way.

"Oh, that's a wonderful thing to ask about your kid," she said, teasing (a little). "It just looks... er... flamboyant?" Natalie hung back, but not as far back as Stephan had done in her little bubble's room.
"Ah... from the letter, I got the impression that what happened was.... well... bad. Really unpleasant. I take it those memories are going to mean even more unhappy teenagers?" She cringed at the thought, remembering what her friends (and she, to some extent) had been like.

"Some may have had good lives, other's, bad...but the times were bad, yes. Though if the Soul had been young enough, perhaps it wouldn't have memories of the bad times."
Giving a wry glance at Stephan, Hadrian wasn't sure whether to be insulted or amused.
"Nothing, as far as we know. It seems...happy."
Or flamboyant, and Natalie had suggested.

Flamboyant. Yeeeeah. Stephan cocked his head to the side, taking another close look at the soul, "It's got a star on its head." So in-depth, so brilliant. Or... Maybe not. "So she's going to be like, those colors? Silver and purple?" He questioned, not really noticing that though he had been a bit impatient with Natalie he was probably the more annoying of the two for the mage. Well, if he was going to assume things, he might as well go all out. Besides, flamboyant was not really a word he liked. Especially not when it was used to describe his future brat.

Natalie nodded, thinking about that. "Well... let's hope the fact that these two are smiling... means they had happier lives than most," she murmured, mostly to herself.
Then she looked up at Stephan, crossing her arms and tapping her foot a little. Hadn't they gone over this?
"I hope it's a boy," she muttered. "A very flamboyant boy."

"It's possible."
Nothing was for sure, really...like how Gavin's Soul had an almost beak-like formation, but had a normal mouth once born. Hadrian, taking note of what Natalie said, felt his lips twitch again.
That would be...entertaining.
And he hoped it meant they'd had happy lives, as well.

Hearing something, Stephan looked back over his shoulder at Natalie, having been deep in his thoughtless inspection, "Huh? Did you say something?" He didn't really wait for an answer, now behaving somewhat like a kid in a candy store. He wanted to poke it, or wave his hand through it, something, but he knew that was probably not the best idea. This mage guy Hadrian didn't really seem like the 'let loose and experiment' type. Though he figured a little round of wasabi shots would clear that up. Or at least give him bragging rights and an odd story.

"Nope, nothing. Just thinking to myself." She smiled, pleasantly. She withheld the inner snark, for the time being. They'd see soon enough, she supposed...
Anyway.
"So... I suppose that's it, right?" she asked (mostly Hadrian), blinking a little. "I guess there's not much more to do here... but thank you, very very much, for showing us our Souls! Really, truly. And I hope you'll come to opening night, Hadrian, if you have the time..."

"Yes, that wraps it up."
Opening night? But...if Thorn was going...
But she seemed to really want him to go.
"...If I'm free, I'll attend. Thank you for the invite."
Polite on the outside, cringing on the inside. An entire show spent sitting besides Thorn? He had to bring someone...but no, there were only two tickets.
...well, hopefully they wouldn't have assigned seat numbers. Then he could sit somewhere else, or 'happen' to wind up with someone sitting between them.

"Well, I guess that means I should go back to hauling boxes..." Stephan whined, doing his best sad puppy look. He really hated carrying them up the stairs, by himself at least. And once he'd gotten them all up he'd have to face the facts and start unpacking. The fratboy was not known for sentiments, he didn't even know half of his best friends' last names, but he did want to get to know the people he had a feeling he'd been spending a lot of his free time with.
