((Well we haev two Lost and a Wave and a half. We don't have any followers or Tide Dwellers at the moment, but as long as we have two characters that can interact with each other we could start. Someone could make the first post, if they want.))

((This is becoming slightly frustrating for me :S Dunno, guess I'm a little impatient. If I don't get much more activity next week I think I'll host this in the BT main forum. I'll post links and such forth.))

((I'm off four days sweatdrop So it begins!))

Raynor glanced up casually at the clock. Two o'clock. Only five more hours until he had the complex to himself. His mechanical hands squeaked furiously as they raced to finish his latest project. Despite having such a change of heart, Doctor Fen knew what he had to do, and it was keep his dream intact.

His latest toy was an improvement over the current vending machines that lined the streets. At the moment, those larger monstrosities were reminiscent of those that had been built at the first discovery of science. But as of recent, it had become apparent that they were taking up too much space on the busier streets in the city. Well, Ray couldn't have his "children" cramping and shoving in his paradise. Not on his watch.

He was almost finished as he took a quick glance of the paperwork on his nearby desk. A seemingly endless pile of ideas that he had jotted down for further use, each with a quick description of what it did and how he'd make it.

His eyes drifted to the clock again and he frowned before getting back to work. Two o'two.

Thimil lay on the grass, staring at the harvest moon. The lack of clouds made the night sky brilliant with constalations, and the moon complimented them perfectly. He traced out the Old man with his hand and found the Wounded Bird. As he tried to find more familiar constalations, a shooting star caught his eye.
He wished hard, he wanted peace to come at last. He closed his eyes and saw the shooting star bright in his minds eye. He repeated his wish and opened his eyes. The moon bathed him in its glow, yet no warmth came to him. He was begining to shiver.

He stood up and began to walk back towards the village, hidden by many a spell and protected by many a druid. Life was getting harder for them all, especially on the elders. Yet they all had to struggle to live on, no matter what The Wave threw at them. Thimil tapped a tree with his hand, making new branches sprout out of it, giving a bird a place to rest.

As he settles his back aggainst a tree, Thimil realises the basic needs of it. The immense thirst of this ancient tree fills his thoughts. The desire for sunlight and the pain of the insects feasting on is bark make him ache to help it. He raises his hands and summons forth a small cloud, not amazingly big, but large enough to give the tree some water.
As the cleansing water bathes his skin and wettens his clothes, he feels the release from the tree. It feels more content now, less aggravated. The water continues to wash away the monotony of the night and cleans his skin. When he sensed the tree had enough, he sent the cloud on its way.
Thimil pressed his head into the bark, his wet hair feeling cold and his clothes clung firmly to his frame.
He thought of the stores the Elders told him. How the land used to be covered in trees and fruit and wildlife were plentiful. How the forests sang with life and how the ancient ways were taught throughout the land. Yet now, there were only a few safe havens left. This on, being one of the closest to the cities of the Wave. Thimil knew the way around the forest very well, be it by day or night. He sighed deeply gently hitting the tree with his head.
He looked down at his arms, covered in ancient runes. Runes that told his life and his deeds. He knew the importance of gaining more of the green markings, yet the process seemed futile to him. After all, they were just pictures to him.

Shenti groaned as she looked at the readout. This experiment was not going well, and her group had a deadline to meet. If they did not get a positive outcome before the deadline, funding would be pulled and they would be put on something else. She wouldn't get a raise.

But working on the experiment meant that she would be stuck here for the rest of the night. Usually she liked to check up on Devlon, but calling her own house to leave a message looked suspicious when it was supposed to be empty. He'd have to spend the night worrying about her if she couldn't get a message to him. Maybe she could leave for a snack at home, then come back if there was no one else from her group still working...

The sun had gone down a few hours ago without Ray noticing. Without looking, he reached to his desk for another paper, another of his ideas, and found there were none left. He turned, just to make sure his hands weren't fooling him. All that was left on his desk were a few pens and blank sheets of paper, the lamp still off from the afternoon.

He took a good look at his personal lab and admired his work through his glowing eyes. The room that had been nearly bare at when he had last checked the clock was now filled with his prototypes, ready to be tested for tomorrow.

He took another quick glance at the clock. It was pretty late, the complex would be mostly empty. He took his index finger and plugged it into a socket on his desk. "Computer," his synthesized voice said, "Personnel still within the complex?"

It was only a moment before another voice, even more emotionless than his, replied, "Twenty two technicians and thirty four security guards patrolling the perimeter."

He tried to sigh, but couldn't, reminding himself he didn't have lungs anymore. Instead, a jet of air released in his back, which to him might as well have been the same thing. "No better time than now to get to work," he thought to himself absently.

He moved to the door and slid his palm over the door lock. He took a last glance at his creations before heading down the hall to a grimmer task. One that wasn't so focused on improving his paradise, but defending it.

Thimil woke with a startle. The sun was not up yet, but the few rays from behind the horizon proclaimed it was a few hours before day break. He looked around at what could have woke him, yet no one was around. He felt a wince of pain, coming from behind a bush. He quickly traced it and found a young deer on the ground. His legs were broken and his side was bleeding profusely. Thimil wanted to cry, the ammount of pain that eminated from the creature made his heart falter.
He looked if the wounds were minor enough to heal, yet he knew the ammount of internal bleeding the creature has had, was too great to make it util dawn. He put his hand on the creatures head and began to slowly stroke it back with the other. He let a warm spell reach out from his hand, bathing the deer in it. He felt the pain of the deer ease, then suddenly stop. Then, like always with the euthanasia spell, all emotions ceased from the animal.
As the deer lay motionless, Thimil lifted it onto his back and carried it into the village. He knew some meat would cheer up the spirits a little, even for a little while. He said out lound "Nature gives and nature takes, yet she is all forgiving." He shook his head gently at what he had to do but carried on walking at a slow pace.
