I'm Sophie, 16, and a lover of Indian and Asian culture. I love bollywood, am exploring Asian cinema and television, trying to learn languages from those cultures, and absolutely love Gerba (sp?). heart

Ok everyone calls me ishken but heres the run down:
Name: Chicky, Ishken, or Mansi (irl nick name ^^)
Age: 20 for the time being 3nodding
Location: California heart
Well long story short i use to be a true indian at heart till my parents got divorced. When that happened the indian communit kinda disappeared on me so i havent been in touch with it much. Im Gujarati n i speak and understand gujarati and hindi...to an extent. I havent been watching alot of the hindi movies cause my desi side dropped off sadly. But im looking to get back into the movies...
My weakness is the songs... ive been singing since i was able to talk and i sing better in hindi and gujarati then i do in english. ninja you tube is my best friend for this reason mrgreen

anyway im indian...but i live in california...i someday wish to go back to my home country and live there forever(i visit indian every other year biggrin )
im from south india and i speak telegue(sp? lol) and i luv garba! biggrin
i watch some bollywood movies, but mostly tollywood(south inidan)
btw, does anyone else speak telegue(sp?)?
