The pink haired girl clutched two jars tightly, inside each jar lay one artifact. She sat in an bare room, boxes scarttered upon the floor. Glancing around the girl looked for a sterdy place to put the jars that wasn't on the floor. After a few minites of looking she noted a desk in the room, covered in papers and dust. Her eyes widened as she raced over to it, blowing off some of the dust. Gently she placed down the jars upon the desk and ran over to get something to dust it off with.

After dusting off the desk she grabed a chair and ploped herself down on it, staring at the two jars. The artifacts were so beutiful, the white fur of the polar bear and ash feather of the rockhopper penguin. To think it would turn into a living breathing creature was almost impossible.

She looked around and grabed a pen pushing the back with a 'click' and fumbling around for a piece of paper that hadn't wasn't to old.

Journal Entry 001
This is quite a fascinating day. I was chosen to partake in a special project. I had recived a leaflet from someone when I was walking around in Gambino and decided to later check it out. I'm still in shock. I had packed up my stuff and moved to the island where it would be easier to take care of my new charge. Right now my Aerandir is mearly two jars, one containing polar bear fur and the other a feather of a rockhopper penguin. I have found out that later one when the time is right the two will be placed into one jar and become a gryphon. Right now I don't really believe that will happen, but I guess a part of me does or I wouldn't have moved out here. I really can't wait for the fur and feather to be placed into the same jar.

I wonder if it snows here in the winter, although I doubt it.

Journal Entry 002
I have started unpacking and fixing up the house I now live in. It's such a bad place, I hope to go exploring around the island later on, maybe meet some people.

I've fixed up the desk even satined the wood, it's kind of new looking now. Speaking of the desk this will be the 'housing' for my two jars until they merge. I've been imagining what my Aerandir will look like once merdged and I plan to draw something up to maybe help me believe what a polar bear, rockhopper penguin cross would look like. It's quite a strange combination if you must ask me. Although I believe it'll be quite a cute little thing.

I've been thinking up some names, but so far nothing is really striking as worthy enough to become the name of my new charge.

The house is slightly better then it was when I first arived. Definatly less dusty.

About half left to unpack before finding spots to put all the leftover stuff. And then get a nice little bed for my Aerandir when it merges. I still have some doubts of the artifacts merging, but I'm sure when the time comes I'll believe completly.

Yakobi
Yakobi packed up her bag, she'd head off to explore the area today. After packing some supplies she grabed the two jars off her desk and placed them fimly in her shoulder bag. Closing her bag she slung it over her shoulder and pushed ehrself out the door.

She glanced around, lush green grass and beautiful flowers seemed to have swarmed around the area, none the less it was quite nice to walk out into. She pushed her hand into her bag, being careful not to knock around the jars. Finally she felt what she had been looking for, a single piece of paper. She pulled it out and opened it up, a map of the island.

The girl placed her finger upon a spot on the map and moved it around trying to find the best routes to go and where exactly would be a good spot to go to. Deciding to herself she would to head towards the center. Kicking along a peble as she walked along the path to the center she began to hum lightly to herself, constantly looking at her bag making sure the jars were safe.

Foenix & Nehanda
Suddenly unsure, Nehanda hid herself behind Foenix's legs. Grinning shyly, she peeked around and waved at Fae, Pueblo, Osero, and the other human she didn't know. As Fae approached her, however, she giggled and shook her head a bit so that the beads swung gayly from side to side, clacking against each other. " 'Lo," she said.

Foenix couldn't stop her own smile. "Yup! Just the other day. Isn't she amazing?" Reaching down behind her, she nudged Nehanda so that the child would stop hiding. "Honey, you know almost everyone here, remember? There's Fae, and Osero, and that's Keilin there. And you love playing with Pueblo, remember?"

Fae & Pueblo
Fae grinned at the shy little girl dangling by her mother's arms. Looking up as her feet followed suit, she stood up and looked excited. "She must be overwhelmed by looking at the world in such a new form," she thought outloud. But just as she spoke, two other people she had never seen before approched them. She gazed beyond Foenix's shoulder and rose a brow. "Oh, hello. Are you guys...new?" They must have been the ones on the ship last night or so. Giving them a friendly smile, she stook her hand out. "Names Fae, and this is my Aerandir, Pueblo," she pointed to the gryphon.

"Peep!" She suddenly blurted out. It was her friend! Fur brisking on her tail and ears standing up eagarly, she ran over hyperly and skidded behind Nehanda. She was solid again! And..different looking. Very different...but oh! She remembered this! Immediately she started picking at her saggy tail as her tail wagged behind herself like a propellor.

Foenix & Nehanda
Nehanda gave a high-pitched giggle and moved away from Foenix. Peublo! Yay! Of course she remembered her friend; Mommy Foenix was being a silly goose. Reaching out, she gently hugged Pueblo, instinctively bringing one hand up to scratch in just the right spot behind Pueblo's ears.

Foenix smiled at Fae and nodded. "I'm sure you're right. It's taking us both some getting used to. Yesterday, she tried to walk through the wall like she has for the past week or so."

Straightening, she smiled in welcome at Keilin. "We've met, but you probably won't recognize Nehanda. She just achieved Child stage a few days ago."

Yakobi
As she continued down the path the girl started to hear voices. She stoped in her tracks listening carefully to what they were saying. Probably more Aerandir owners. She adjusted her shoulder strap, and steped out. She could see not to far off what seemed to be some people.

Clearing her throat she pressed forward, stoping when she was close enough to the group of people. "Sorry to interupt." the girl said giving a smile.

Foenix & Nehanda
Foenix turned her head and looked over her shoulder at the newcomer. "Not at all," she smiled. "You must be pretty new to the island, right? Welcome. I'm Foenix."

Nehanda glanced up from Pueblo. She was starting to feel a lot more comfortable around the many people, and a genuine smile brightened her cute little face. "Heyo," she greeted the girl approaching them.

Fae & Pueblo
Pueblo's ears fell forward as she received the wandorus scratch. Her hind leg twitching abit, she shook her fur back into place after the scratch was over. Her friend's new fingers were her new scratching tool! It hit just the riight spot. Swishing her tail some more, she gave the little girl a soft nuzzle that would probably tickle.

Fae chuckled a little. "Walking through the wall?! You better keep an eye on her," she joked. But without being rude, she'd look between the two new women to keep communication open.

Yakobi
Yakobi gave a slight bow "Yes, I just arived to the island yesterday. I'm Yakobi." The girl glanced at the creatures that were around, they had to be the Aerandir. "So those are what Aerandir look like..." she spoke aloud her thoughts. They were quite fasinating creatures. To think her artifacts would turn into something so...So amazing. One of her hands fumbled into her bag, and grasped one of the jars.

Foenix & Nehanda
Foenix nodded and laughed. "Oh, you bet! I'm just thankful she can't use those wings of hers yet. Can you imagine giving Nahda such an easy accomplice?" She was referring to her cheerful, naive little monster of a Tahnee child, who managed to both charm and terrorize everyone she met.

Turning to Yakobi, she nodded. "Yup. Fae's Pueblo there, who is in her gryphon stage, is a merging of wolf and owl. And my little Nehanda came from a swan feather and a bone from a mesohippus. She just became a child."

Nehanda leaned forward to scratch Pueblo's head better. Loosing her balance, she plopped down with a surprised ooof! Giggling at herself, she threw her arms around Pueblo and gave her another hug.

Keilin
Keilin blushed slightly as she received welcomes from the group of Aerandir and their guardians. She relaxed from her tense position as she realized there was also another newcomer to the group also, while seeing a vaguely familiar face such as Foenix allowed her to calm down as well.

"Just stopped by in hope of some... advice. For when jars are at a present state as mine. I've been on the island for quite a while.. Over a month, about. Just haven't really gotten to meet anyone, I... I," Keilin stuttered.

The child Aerandir's face caught Keilin's attention as she faltered; seeing a genuine smile such as this made her smile back as well, seeing such pure innocence. The woman took one step closer to the child Aerandir in attempt to have a closer look whilst her mind scrambled for the last part of the sentence she was about to complete.

"...I've been at home with the family all this time, setting up our abode. Finally decided that I'd actually meet some of you... officially," she added, "and glad to see I'm not so new around here either with you here," Keilin said as she looked at Yakobi, wondering what she was looking for in her bag.

Yakobi
She smiled at the gryphon and child Aerandir, they were both so cute, "They're really adorable." she uttered. Her eyes seemed to scan over the creatures taking in every little detail of the creatures in front of her. Her mind began to sloly fill with ideas of what her Aerandir might look like, not that she hadn't been thinking that before. But now more so then before.

She turned to Kellin and bowed slightly again, motioning that it was a pleasure to meat her as well. Slowly she pulled out her two jars. "This is my Aerandir, right now. It's fur from a polar bear and a feather from a rockhopper penguin."

Keilin
"Pretty artifacts!" Keilin said as she stood there staring at Yakobi's artifacts. "Polar bear and penguin... white and black, that'd make for a neat color combination for an Aerandir," she continued. She cradled her jar even more tightly than before. "Though I prefer green and yellow... like the artifacts in my jar. Quetzal and leopard, named him Chata. I adore green things and yellow's my mate's favorite color." She kept switching her eyes back and forth from admiring Yakobi's artifacts to her own precious jar. "Jar's currently glowing... I'm worried Chata may not come out alright. I've been giving more attention to my family than him as of late, I hope to equal that out from now on, though."

Keilin rubbed her head, leaving the jar free of one hand. The warmth continued to emit from the presence about to emerge from inside, which kept Keilin anxious until the day when Chata finally appears.

Yakobi
She gave a smile "Yeah, kind of reminds me of a ying-yang." She looked at the glowing artifacts in Keilin's jar, they looked so pretty. So they began to glow before they merged competly? She'd have to write down some notes when she went home, then conculde them when her Aerandir when though the same.

"They're really pretty, a quetzal and leopard...That sounds really neat!" she grined, wondering when that Aerandir would become a gryphon. Another thought passed though her mind...How many people where on this island? "Green and yellow are gorgeous colours when put togeather. They look great on their own as well."

Keilin
"Wouldn't a polar bear and penguin Aerandir have too much fur coating on itself to bare with the tropical weather on this island, though? I mean, natural polar bears and penguins are from the arctic cold regions..." she trailed off, rubbing her eyes as if some dust flew into it. She noticed Yakobi looking at the glow that radiated from her jar with artifacts contained inside and imagined Yakobi's jar in that state as well. "I hope our future Aerandir will become good... friends?" she spoke softly.

"Well, I hope you and your future Aerandir make successful companions, anyways," she said quickly, before a reply could be made. The jar under Keilin's grasp continued to glow warmly, lightning up yet another smile on Keilin's face.

Yakobi
"Yeah," she nodded "I'm a bit worried about that." The girl glanced down at her two jars, she hoped when it merged it wouldn't be to hot here on the island for it. "I'm hoping since it'll be ok with the heat down here." she spoke, the thought had crossed her mind once before, but she let it pass. Now that she had seen some Aerandir the thought was not freely vanishing from her mind.

She gave a nod for the final things Keillin said, she too hoped she'd be a good companion for the creature. And maybe both Keillin's and her's could be good friends when they both emerged. That would be great, to see the two Aerandir play together when they made their apperance to the world. The would be an interesting sight in a sense, since it would be more of an cold loving creature playing with one that prefers heat.

Even if their Aerandir didn't become good friends, it would still be neat to let them meet eachother. This also brought up the 'what gender will my Aerandir be?' question to Yakobi's mind. The names she had come up with so far could be used for both male or female, so she'd be alright if she decided to use one of those names.

Fae & Pueblo
Fae grinned and chuckled, shaking her head at Nehanda. "She'd be all over the place," she directed towards Foenix. It was cute to watch the little reuinon take place between Pueblo and Nehanda.

As the other girls introduced themselves and their jars, Fae grinned and walked over to examin each. "Welcome to Cetalu, Keilin and Yakobi," she pronounced carefully, then looked at the glowing jar. "So you say you've been here for over a month? How long has Chata been glowing for?" She questioned. It was strange, but she didn't want to make Keilin feel uncomfortable, so she smiled anyways.

After looking at Keilin's jar, she would then move to the polar bear and penguin. "Yours should be interesting. I agree with Keilin; the cold climate creatures forced into a temperate forest climate... But I'm excited to see how it'll look! Polar bears are just so white and fuzzy," she grinned spastically. "Haven't thought of a name yet?" She gingerly asked.

Pueblo gave a soft merp and continued to nuzzle Nehanda. Nipping at the child's fingers jealously, the two newcomers stole her attention away. Looking at them curiously and deciding she hadn't met them yet, she shyly backed up behind Nehanda somewhat and peered out. Just look at the one with that bright pink fur! But the other human had a glowing jar...it looked familiar in the photo album her keeper kept of herself.

Yakobi
Yakobi gave a smile at Fae "Nice to meet you." she gave another bow. "I've thought of a few names, but I'm not certain on the one I'm going to use just yet." she looked back down at her jars. There was name she seemed quite fond of so far, out of all the names she had chosen at the time.

"I'm thinking of Phoenix, since it means dark red and the rockhopper penguin's eyes are blood red," she paued "But I'm not to sure just yet."

Keilin
She hesitated as she received an inquisitive response from Fae, though seeing a smile cover over her face, Keilin nodded back and replied, "I've been sneaking in and out of my place rarely, and finally decided to come out and pronounce myself to the world, yes... I believe it's been glowing for a little less than a month, though. I've been here for over a month and a half, I think now."

Starting to get a headache from doing all the math in her head involving with how long since something has happened, Keilin brushed her hair aside as it was slightly getting in her way. She noticed Pueblo's movements and sounds and looked to her. "Pueblo must be a handful to take care of... seems that way from her size, that is. How is it like taking care of such a precious thing?" Keilin asked, unknowing of how personal her question was.

Osero
Osero sat quietly, watching the various exchanges between the group gathered. It sounded like the Aerandir yet to be born would be interesting. The hunter couldn't help but smile faintly. One of the young ones was so old already, and there were so many being born and raised...

The species may yet survive, with these guardians helping. Sitting back quietly, raising one knee and holding his book loosely, the wolf-eagle hybrid shifted his wings faintly. For now, he remained silent, his gaze thoughtful as he watched those nearby.

Fae & Pueblo
Fae smiled politely towards Yakobi. "Phoenix? It sounds simular to my other friend here- Foenix," she lightly mused. Nodding at Keilin, she gave a reasurring smile. "Ah. Well, now that you're out and about, and you're well settled in, I'm sure your Aerandir will grow up fine." She paused at the question at Pueblo and looked down to her. "Eh...I'm no mother; I deny that title at my age. But Pueblo, she's really calm and collective. I don't have to worry about her so much, thank God." She eyed Nehanda as she said this.

Pueblo peeked out as she heard her name. That one with the glowing jar was talking about her, she figured. Furtively padding behind her keeper, she looked up at remembered what her keeper told her to do. 'Knees' wobbling a little, she stepped forth (but not too far) and gave in her right leg as her left paw drew up. Giving a gracious bow, it had seemed she learned a 'trick' just as any canine would. Might as well see how this turns out- hopefully humans have a more postive effect when bowing to them than persay...Delta did.

Upon Osero's shifting around-ness, something hard hit her in the back of her mind. "Oh! I'm so sorry, I must have gotten caught up about Nehanda. That is Osero, an adultAerandir," she whispered proudly and pointed the two new owner's eyesight to the wall at which he was sitting near. She hope he didn't mind, but she thought it was only polite to introduce him.

Keilin
"Ah, thanks," Keilin said. She still had the rest of her Aerandir's lifetime to nurture and care for it correctly now, didn't she? "Must be relaxing having an Aerandir with such temperament as Pueblo's," she continued. Keilin wondered what her Aerandir's personality would turn out to be. No matter what Chata should turn out to be like, though, Keilin would always treat her Aerandir with the same kindness and teach him the same things she had been taught while she was young, learning about manners and the basic principles of life, though it would be different with Chata; being of a different race and time, she would have to do something... special with him while raising him.

Keilin continued looking at Pueblo and noticed her graceful bow. She admired this eloquent behavior and held an even greater regard for Pueblo as she realized what she had done. "Pueblo's so... nice," Keilin stated, unable to find a better word for 'nice.'

She smiled at Osero and her eyes brightened up when she looked to him again. She had seen this character around when she first noticed the Aerandir place and regarded him with high respect, as he just seemed... superior to her, somewhat. "Adult Aerandir..." she whispered. "So beautiful," she muttered, embarassed of calling a fully grown male 'beautiful.'

Yakobi
Yakobi glanced over at Osero, he was quite fascinating. Just like the other Aerandir there. An adult Aerandir...Seemed so...Interesting if that's what you could say. They looked pretty much like a normal human, just with fur, wings, odd ears and a tail. Then again the Aerandir were quite human like if you really looked at them. More peaceful with nature though, less descrutive and much more interesting.

The girl gave her greating bow towards the adult Aerandir. Slowly the girl ploped herself down on the dirt path, this was quite a nice day, but she missed colder weather. She was no where near used to warm weather. The girl always liked the cold...As she usually said 'The colder the better!'

Keilin
Seeing as though Yakobi had set herself on the seemingly comfy dirt path, Keilin also bent down to sit on the ground, but not before aimlessly brushing away the top layer of dirt on the ground with her right foot. She shifted a bit, comfortable now in her spot. She set the jar between her legs, on top of the dirt, and felt as though the presence inside the jar was also sitting on the dirt; feeling its moist grainy texture, and smelling its grassy-rocky scent.

She looked at Yakobi and noticed her watching Osero. Osero was a handsome Aerandir indeed, she thought to herself. Maybe there were other Aerandir on this island she hasn't seen yet that are just as glorious, she thought again. Keilin then picked up Chata's jar from the dirt ground and hugged it tightly, still watching the others.
----------

Keilin picked herself up from the patch of ground she had been sitting on and pats herself clean. She picked up the jar afterwards, warmth still emitting from inside. Upon seeing the others drift away one by one, she decides that it is time for her departure as well. She tips her head, habit of when she usually wore a hat from where she once used to live.

"Good day," she said to the others as they left, "I'm going as well. Hope to see you all in the future!" she cheerfully chimed as she started the walk back home with her jar in hand.

Fae & Pueblo
Fae grinned a little as the other two girls 'ooed' and 'ahhed' at Osero. He is pretty interesting, wasn't he? But failure of remembering not to stare, she shook her head and looked away quickly before her felt uncomfortable. Osero was, in her terms, calm and didn't like to be the center of attention. Niether did she. Kneeling down to give Pueblo a little push forward, she reassured her to go up and meet the new people. "It's okay, sweetie, they're new-ish. That's Keilin and Yakobi," she pointed between them. "And look! Keilin has a glowing jar. You were a glowing jar once before, too."

Feeling forcful hands push against her resisting body, she finally stood up and looked the people over who were now at a reasonable level. Walking over to Keilin first, it was the glowing jar that caught her interest. Pawing, she reconized it. Why wouldn't the Aerandir come out already? Her beady eyes turned up towards Keilin. She had a nice face. Deciding wheather to stay or go check out Yakobi, she climbed over Keilin's knee as her bushy tail drug across. Walking over to Yakobi, she looked at the bright pink fur on her head. Pink! Suddenly fluttering up to her head, she wobbled to stay balanced and nibbled at it. She wanted some of that too!

Foenix & Nehanda
Foenix stood up from the log where she was sitting and stretched. "Well, it was very nice to meet you, Yakobi, and to see the two of you, Osero, Keilin, But I think Nehanda and I are going to head home now. We've got some chores that need doing around the house."

Taking a few step, she tilted her head toward Fae. I think I'm heading in your direction. Want to come with?"

Nehanda was reaching up at Pueblo. She still wanted to play with her friend. "Peeblo come wit 'Handa!" she demanded.

Fae & Pueblo
Fae looked over to Foenix and agreed. "Yes, we should probably get home too." She bowed at Osero and waved to Keilin and Yakobi. "Good luck with finding a name, Yakobi. And maybe Chata will emerge soon, Keilin," she smiled. "Pueblo, honie, let's get going-get off poor Yakobi's head!" She rushed over and pryed the animal off from the girl's head. "You don't pull out people's hair," she said sternly and gave Yakobi an apologizing look.

Pueblo fluttered and fluttered and gave an irritated shreak. As soon as she let go, she fell to the ground and started cleaning her feathers and ordered them. Huf! She then ran over to Nehanda with a few brightly colored hair strands streaming in the air. "Peep!" She replied to her friend. Oh, she was so much taller than her now. ;;

Foenix & Nehanda
Nehanda giggled and knelt over to stroke along Pueblo's back. "You gots pink hair!" She thought the shade of wild pink was pretty, like some of the flowers growing outside in her gardens. Turning, she started walking obediantly down the path toward home. "Come ons, Peeblo!" she yelled.

Foenix had to hold back her own giggle at Pueblo's naughtiness as she stared to follow both child and gryphon. "Once she starts painting, you'd better make sure you have non-toxic, water-soluable paints. Otherwise you might end up with a bright pink gryphon!"

Fae & Pueblo
Fae grinned. "Yeah, you should've seen her try to get in those other paint cans I had. I don't have any pink paint, but she had a wild interest for that bucket of blue," she shook her head. "She's just going through a color-phase. Bold colors seem to attract her." Fae walked alongside her friend until they reached their home. "Well, maybe we can do something again soon," she waved.

Pueblo's wings quivered at the stroke of Nehanda's hand. Chewing at the pink hair between her mandibles, she skipped alongside Nehanda until she really had to go home. Their visits were always so short!

Foenix & Nehanda
Nehanda bent and gave Pueblo a goodbye hug. "Bye, Peeblo," she said rather sadly. She didn't get to see her friend nearly often enough!

Foenix chuckled at Nehanda's cute attempt at pronouncing the gryphon's name. "That would be nice, Fae. I'm sure we'll see you soon." She waved toward her friend, took Nehanda's little hand in hers, and continued on down to path toward their own home.

Yakobi
The girl gave a wave bye to those leaving. She had been laughing mentaly to her as the little Aerandir had been chewing on her hair. She hadn't really minded it. Leaning back she stared at the sky, her jars clinking together. She'd head back home later on, but for now she just wanted to relax outside. Double checking that she wasn't on the path, she let out a happy sigh and continued to gaze at the sky.

Journal Entry 003
I've been really thinking about what my little Aerandir will look like once merged and transformed into a gryphon. So I've decided to sketch up some idas of what I belive it might look like. Although the sketches are a bit cartoonish, and the feathers that look like large eyebrows make it seem somewhat masculine. I have also drawn two versions, one like normal gryphons with wings sprouting from its back, the avian head and mamal body. The other has a mamal bottom with the avian top since penguin's cannot fly and use their wings as propellars in water as well as their feet.

I do plan to colour the sketches if I get the time after I finish up the unpacking. Two boxes left!

Yakobi fumbled around her room unpacking the last two boxes, she would soon be done with placing everything in their place. Then she could start taking care of her new charge much better then she had been doing so far. She had simply been making sure nothing happened to it and setting up the house. One box left.

She quickly opened up the last box and pulled out what seemed to be a small little cat bed. The girl had yet to bring over her cat from her other home, so she had left it with a friend. She placed it next to her bed and began to think that maybe when her Aerandir became a gryphon she could have it sleep in it, if it was small enough. From the Aerandir she had been before, she belived it should fit. She could bring her cat over at a later date.

She moved over toward her desk, she had now finished unpacking. With a grin she ploped herself down onto the desk chair and stared at the two jars. "What should I name you?" she whispered to it. Her orange eyes gleemed as she continued to look at the two artifacts. She had to find it the perfect name. Grabing a pen and a single piece of paper she began to write down some more names, but the top name that seemed to be comming up in her mind was ''Phoenix''.

Prying her nose from the paper she looked back over at the artifacts sittting in the jars, they weren''t red and phoenix ment ''dark red''. Although the rockhopper penguin''s eyes were blood red, didn''t mean that her Aerandir would have red eyes. "What do you think of Phoenix?" she asked it moving the jars closer to herself. "Maybe another name?" she spoke her voice calm and soft. Turning back to her paper she began to scribble down names again also drawing little pictures in random corners of the page.

Journal Entry 004
I''m so pleased that I have finished unpacking. The room next to mine has been set up to an extent. It''s got a bed and a wooden chest with some toys in it, but nothing more at the moment. I really should get some more things for my little Aerandir.

The island is quite interseting, as I have learnt quite a few new things already and I''ve only been here for three days now. I''m still however, getting used to all this heat. I''ve been keeping the windows open in my house to let some air in and cool things down. This will probably take a while getting used to. The limited water supply is fine, but heat if anything is gonna kill me. Not entirly sure I can take much more of it.

I''ve been trying to keep my mind off the heat, but it''s quite hard. Thinking that my Aerandir being a polar bear and rockhopper penguin might want something a bit colder I''ve placed a small battery powed fan net to the two jars. Hopefully it''ll keep them cold enough, because I''m sure not.

I have no energy to even play the battery powered hand-held video games I brought along with me. I think I''m far to attached to them to just move and not bring them. The rest of my stuff is back at my house on the main land. My friend is looking after it for me as I stay here and take care of my new charge. Maybe when it merges I''ll take it back to my house on the main land for a day or two. Maybe it would like that.

The pink haired girl walked around the house, fixing up random things, her mind was oviously elsewhere. She ran about the house rearanging things and constantly stoping to stare at her Aerandir in the two jars. Something was conpelling her to constantly stop and look at them, she didn''t know what it was. Shaking her head the girl walked towards the front door, she needed some freash air.

As she walked outside the girl heard a crunching noise from under her feet. What had she steped on? Moving her foot she glanced down only to find an envelope. Bending down she picked it up and opened it.

The Letter
Dear Yakobi,
I am happy to note that the accomodation you were allocated has now reached a stage which is suitable for your Aerandir items to be placed together within a single bottle. This will allow for them to "merge" - admittedly, however, this process may take some time.

The reason I am writing to you is to confirm that we have a name for your Aerandir for our records. Further study of the evidence gleaned from your artifacts has shown that there is a 72% chance of your Aerandir being male. I included this information with the hope of perhaps aiding you in choosing a name. If you could get back to me with haste I will arrange for all of the formalities to be completed so that we may start you on your way as an Aerandir guardian.

Yours sincerely,

Alyosha.

The girl was overjoied at the news. Her Aerander would soon merge then! Or well soon enough. Quickly she rushed inside to reply to the letter. Of course once she will have finsihed the letter she would send it the next day.

The Reply
Dear Alyosha,

I am so excited that my Aerandir will be getting closer to merging. I had gone though my list only to find that all, but one name was masculine. So the fact that there is a 72% chance of it being male, makes things a lot for me to pick. Out of all the names I have chosen I belive that ''Taranis'' will be the one I choose. Hopefully it is a good name for my Aerandir. It is derived from the Celtic word taran meaning thunder and was also the name of the Gaulish thunder god, who was often identified as the Roman god Jupiter. Although thunder has nothing to do with nither a polar bear or rockhopper penguin, I just feel that it suits the Aerandir. I hope I have chosen a good name for him.

I'm really hoping that soon my little Aerandir Taranis will be able to be placed in the same jar. It''s getting really exciting. I''m going to be building something for him today so hopfully during that time he wont get lonly sitting upon my desk. What I''m building him is a special box...I have something extra special to put in it, but I can''t say now. I must be going to work on it.

The girl floped onto her bed, letting out a long sigh. It had been a very tiring day so far and she just wanted to laze around. Her eyes glanced over to the her desk, with her Aerandir jar and journal log. Yes jar, as her Aerandir, now known as Taranis had been placed in one jar. He would merdge soon enough now. She''d have to make an update soon, but she just didn''t seem to want to move.

Scattered upon the desk was a few letters and some photos.

What Can Be Seen On The Letter

Giving a sigh the girl pushed herself up off her bed. She had fallen asleep and was pretty sure that would mess with her sleep patern...Not that she had a sleep patern, but she thought so anyways. It was somewhat boring being alone in the house all the time, dispite the fact that Taranis was there. Interacting with a jar with a feather and bits of fur wasn''t very entertaining.

She let out a yawn and walked over to her desk, ploping herself down upon the chair. Gently she picked up the jar "Hello Taranis," she whispered "I''m going to read you something later...Ok?" Her voice seemed someone dead, but she had of course just woken up. Letting out another yawn she put Taranis, or the jar back on the desk and grabed hold of a piece of paper. Looking about she grabed a pen and began to write.

The artifacts were placed into one jar today...Taranis is getting closer to being. I simply cannot wait until I have a little gryphon to play with. I wonder what he will be like. It would be quite funny dispite the 72% of him being male, if the Aerandir turned out female. Although I highly doubt that will happen, but I''ve seen things similar happen back on the main land. Something is given so and so percent of being male or female and it turns out to be the other gender. But for Taranis that most likely wont happen, but it is a funny thought.

I had quite a tiring day, fell asleep when I shouldn''t have...I want to make everything perfect for my little charge. I can''t help, but be a bit wary that he wont like me when he finally merges and becomes a gryphon. I really hope however that I''m spending enough time with him now so he''ll merge into a gryphon...I could really care less if he didn''t like me, just taking care of him will be enjoyment enough.

Shuffling around the girl searched though one of the drawers in her desk. "Taranis, you haven''t seen my paints have you?" she asked glancing up at a jar containing two artifacts. Of course she got no reply since nither of the artifacts could talk. "Didn''t think so." she smiled moving the jar into a ray of sunlight coming from the window. "So you don''t get cold," she paused "Of course I''ll move you away from it in a bit since you aren''t much of a tropical creature." She closed the drawer moving her hand down to another, opening it up she continued to search for her missing paints.

"No not here...No...." she uttered as she looked though her things....Now where had her paints gotten to? "How will I paint a picture of you when you merge?" she asked the artifacts. "I guess I''ll just get to sketch a picture of you for the time being...Well when you merge you know." she let out a small laugh. "Maybe you cna even help me find my paints."

Well today was my birthday. It was really quite fun. I went back to the main land, of course taking Taranis with me. Introduced my cat to him only to find that she has taken quite well to the little jar. I haven''t moved her over to the island just yet, I think I''ll wait just a bit longer. Maybe move her over when Taranis has merged and see if they continute to get along. I only hope they do or she''ll be living over on the main land with my friend for a long time.

When I returned the same night upon my birthday I sat outside in a hamoc I set up by the porch. As I held Taranis in his jar tightly I could feel...A heartbeat? I know he''ll come out soon and I truly can not wait. All my thoughts from way back when about this possibly being a lie (well in a sense) has now vanished. I feel somewhat of a bond between us, although he isn''t psychically living yet. I seem to feel what he feels, what he wants. It''s truly amazing, I couldn''t have asked for a better present then to find this ''bond'' with my Aerandir.

I arvied home today only to find that Taranis was glowing! He might have been glowing for a longer time...Maybe he even started glowing yesterday night. I''m so pleased. It''s such a pretty glow as well. Nice bright blue. This much mean that''s he''s going to merge! Oh I can''t wait. More thoughts of what he''ll look like have been poping into my head...One''s bound to be right I guess. I can''t wait to get to play with my little Aerandir. It will be so much fun. I''ve been looking around for somethings that I may be able to get him, but nothing yet. I''ve started writting down notes and I plan on putting them up somewhere about how there
Aerandir'' grow.

So far Taranis has gone though three stages. The two artifacts in each a seperate jar, then they had been placed into the same jar and now this. he''s glowing. Maybe I should paint him once he forms. I wonder what he''ll be like...As in what personality he''ll have. It''s bound to be intersting since a polar bear and a rockhopper penguin is a very....Odd mix.

The girl wandered into the kitchen, clutching the glowing jar closly to her. "Time to make dinner!" she siad excitedly although she was no where near a good cook. She gently placed the jar containing Taranis onto the counter turning to get the suppiles she needed out of the cupboard. Her eyes flickered back and forth as she read the labels upon the jars. Cooking was hard on the island especially with the lack of certain things. Such as limited water.

Standing up on her toes she reached to the back of the cupboard pulling out some spices and such. She would be having fish tonight. Fish wasn''t one of her favourites, but she could make sushi as well as fried fish. The pink haired girl had a serious love for Japanese food. "Too bad you can''t eat yet Taranis." she smiled looking over at the glowing jar. A bottle of spices getting knocked over by her hand as she turned. "Drat!" she shouted turning the bottle right side up. She scouped up what had spilt and threw it out. "I really should watch what I''m doing, shouldn''t I Taranis?" she laughed nervously. Brushing off the little bits of spices that had stuck to her she turned back to the food she was making. "Ok now to get started!" she exclaimed.

CRASH! The girl quickly turned as she heard the sound of breaking glass...Had something happened to Taranis?! "Taranis!" she shouted as her eyes fixed themselves on the broken glass, moving up to see a shining blue orb. "Wh-What''s going on?" she murmered. The small orb seemed to hover about franticly...Was Taranis...Merging?

Quickly she grabed a napkin and a pen and began to write down rapidly.

Journal Entry 009
Something is happening to Taranis! I was starting to cook and all of a sudden I heard glass breaking. I had turned only to find that his jar was broken, the shards of glass scattered all over the counter he was placed upon! A blue orb now hovers in place, the artifacts...Gone. Does this mean my baby is merging? I''m somewhat excited and somewhat worried. If he is merging...He could merge and cut his feet on the broken glass....And if he isn''t then what''s happening?!

The girl quickly fisnhed her writings upon the napkin and tossed it to the side, she''d place it in her journal later. Quickly she rushed over to the glowing orb, her thoughts jumping about. She desperatly wanted to know what was going on. Orange eyes flickered in the glow the orb was giving off as it floted around. The girl simply standing, watching carfully. "Come away from the glass." she called gently to it, watching it flutter about.

A smile crossed her face as it slowly moved away from the large and small shards of glass. It had to be that her little Taranis was merging. Finally!

----------

The jar rattled and glowed, twisted, almost before breaking with a great smash. Within the a large blue orb puled and glowed. It seemed eager to be free and explore, eager to say hello to the world. As it zipped one way and then the other it slowly began to form into the lumbering form of a little gryphon. The little creature with white fur, dark sleek feathers, topped with brilliant yellow plumes greeted the world with a croaky peep.

Taranis merged today! I''m so happy. He''s absolutly adorable. A small little white ball of fuzz with black feathers and some yellow ones above his blood red eyes. I''m definatly going to have to take him outside now! I do hope the heat wont bother him too much, since he is after all a merging of two cold climate creatures.
