Carver seemed content at that, not at all aware it was a mild fob-off. He flashed a smile at Dacian, and then turned back to stare at the Soul a little sentimentally. "I suppose you have no idea if it's a boy or a girl." (Of course, to Carver, mentally he was already giving it a male gender, calling it 'Richard' and buying a toy train.)

Chuckling, Dacian supposed that any questions about the Soul normally had that answer. At least with real pregnancies, one could tell the gender of the child before birth - but that would be impossible here. An ultrasound for a being made of energy? Not happening./
