Luciel's ScrawlingsQuote: Journal, I'm still not sure how I made it here. This all-but-naked lady with the most gorgeous wings summoned me here to this strange, dilapidated castle. There was rundown tress everywhere, with a fire pit, an arena, pens... The inside of the castle was strange at best, but it had an elegence about it. That strange lady ended up being Nox, someone whom I bet is very important. I felt this strange calling, something that pulled me towards the castle. Nox told me to follow it, and I did. Somewhere in all the corridors, hallways, and passages, I found this window. It had a Venus Flytrap in it. Strangest thing to see in a stained glass window. But Nox explained to me that one of her people, one of her Court, was imprisoned inside. A voice beckoned me to release Dionaea from her dread curse, and I accepted wholeheartedly. And out popped this little bouncing bundle of joy! And food consumption. The first things she said to me were: "Hello! You have food? I hungry!"I'm still trying to figure out where our relationship stands. With Dionaea, I mean. She's very cute, and when you speak, she's very polite. She just sits and listens very intently to what you say. Her wings are adorable, too! The only food I had on me were a couple of oranges, which she devoured in the blink of an eye. I took a look at her chambers. They were unfit for such a child. Therefore, I'm going out shopping for Dionaea ASAP. I wonder if Nox will show up again sometime? And, are there other window-children? Luciel's ScrawlingsQuote: 4/20/05 Journal, I've brought some furniture into Dionaea's room. I have a rocking chair set up in the corner for her if she wants to be held. I also have brought a bag full of plush toys and things for her to play with. Since she is so young, I fear leaving her in this huge castle all by herself. But what else can I do? She doesn't seem to mind me leaving her at all, though. That was something I did not expect. Dee, as I have come to nickname her, is quite an active child. When I arrived this morning with the chair and toys, I walked into her chambers, and she was gone! I threw down my possessions and dashed out of the room, only to hear her giggle. I looked straight up, and she was straddling a wooden beam that held up the roof! I never noticed her wings, amazingly enough. Shows how observant I am. She flies very well, it seems. She also loves to run, jump and play. "Tell me about you." she commanded gently. And, of course, how could I resist such a face? I told her about me being what I am, about my home and my other charges. She seemed very interested in everything I had to say. It amazed me, since she is what, only a year old? I've decided to wander around the castle with her for a bit, just to see what we find. But I won't go far - I might get lost. Luciel

...Out and About...
Luciel rounded the corner, little Dionaea in tow. The Fey child held an apple and small stick of celery in her chubby hands. Her Kithain would not allow her to eat anything too unhealthy for now. Dionaea's wings buzzed as Luciel crept about, too afraid to wander far from the Fey's chambers. The castle was dark, dank and mysterious, as usual. Luciel's hair stood on end when she thought she heard something move along the floor.
Dionaea was enjoying her ride, but her Kithain, she thought, moved entirely too slow. There was nothing to worry about! Her wings buzzed again, lifting little Dionaea out of Lu's protective (perhaps too much so) embrace. The mancubus panicked for a short second before realizing again that her Fey could fly quite well. The chubby child floated up to the ceiling and giggled.
"It okay! Castle safe."
And to prove her point, Dionaea sped down the next corridor. Luciel squeaked and followed, careening around the morter and brick to skid to a halt before she slammed into another wall. Dionaea giggled again, signaling Lu to look up. The Flytrap Fey sat atop a dilapidated bookshelf, almost collasping. She swung her legs, devouring the last of her celery stick.
The mancubus sighed, relieved. But she had gotten completely turned around in her chase. She did not know where Dionaea's chambers were from here. The Fey baby smiled, floating back down to the floor. She crouched, her wings folding down to make her more aerodynamic. Luciel knew what this meant.
A power-crawl?
But she was just a baby! But age hardly meant anything to little Dionaea. Squealing happily, she dashed back past her Kithain much faster than Luciel had anticipated a child of one year could crawl. Trotting along behind Dionaea, Luciel was led back to the chambers.
"We didn't go far, but in this castle, it sure felt like it..." she said as she walked back into her Fey's private quarters. Dionaea had tackled one of the beach balls her Kithain had brought for her, crawling along to bunt the thing about the room.
"Food, please!" she asked politely, the ball bouncing behind her. Her Kithain smiled and went to search her bag.

Luciel's ScrawlingsQuote: 4/22/05 Journal, I returned to Castellum Umbra today with a small package of food and gifts for little Dionaea. She seems to be fine being here, all alone. She's so young, and it bothers me so, but I haven't seen anyone else around the castle. Are there others at all, or is Nox the only other one here? Setting my worries and guilt for leaving Dionaea aside, I stepped into her chamber. She's always happy to see me, and I rather like that idea. She smiles a lot, and seems to be truely happy as a playful baby. She's always chasing something around the room, or fluttering about, or something. She's such an active little thing! So, I sat down in the middle of the floor, and she was more than eager to come meet me in that spot. I took out my little sack full of goodies for her, revealing these:
Some healthy drinks for her! I figured she would like them, seeing as she simply adores to eat. She clapped her hands, thoroughly delighted, and drank one up right away. I'm glad I bought several for her... Slurping away at the healthy soda, I also pulled out some more plush toys to line her room. Her eyes went wide and her wings buzzed happily as I took out these: I'm just glad she likes them. Perhaps I'll go into town today and buy some decorations for around this room? Unless she dislikes it. I doubt it, though. I doubt she'd care until she's older anyway. Speaking of which, I wonder if it's safe to wander about the castle? There has to be someone around here...

Dionaea, Pteryx and Procyon Copied from Neith's journalQuote: Pteryx hummed as she hurried through halls that were now, after much tracing over and practicing, well know. She was heading for the place her window had been, partly to see if she could finally see Majestrix Nox and partly because it was the entrance to the castle. Pteryx wanted to see if she could meet the other Moon Court fey, and maybe even that other girl that she'd seen briefly.
Once she'd reached the Inner Sanctum, Pteryx took a seat on the cold marble, and trusted her sensitive ears to hear footsteps and approaching others.
Coughing at the dust, Luciel rounded another corner that was eeriely the same as the last. Was she lost? Carrying Dionaea in her arms, the Kthian squinted in the darkness. Why did it have to be so darn hard to see in here? Finally, she reached an open area. Sniffing the air curiously, Lu set Dionaea down.
"Open." stated the Venus Flytrap Fey. An open area, yes. Was anyone here?
The footsteps caught Pteryx's attention first, they were slightly heavier than what was normal. They weren't fey's footsteps, fey being light stepped even at the worst of times. So, it was either a human with a fey, or a heavier than normal human?
The two sets of breathing answered that question, and Pteryx brightened. Maybe this meant another child was around, someone that needed carrying?
The first voice that Pteryx then heard was that of a very small child. Standing, Pteryx made her way in the direction that she'd last heard them.
"Hello? Who's there?" Pteryx saw the human...? Was she that? And the very young fey in her arms, a little chubby girl that was no older than two. Addressing the fey first, as Pteryx had been taught, she told her,"I'm Pteryx, who are you?"
Dionaea looked up in the darkness, hearing someone. Her first instinct was to listen. Pteryx? Was she a Fey? Dionaea couldn't see her, but instead answered her blindly. "Dionaea."
"Hello?" Luciel called into the darkness. Who was Di talking to? Was is another window-child? She took a few steps forward, brushing the hair around her goat's horns.
"Dion....Dionaea..." Pteryx tried the name out, it sounded vaugely familiar. Most names did though, even though it'd been so long. "And who is your kithain?"
Pteryx could see clearly now that she was talking, and could see that the others were having trouble seeing. It didn't bother her, and she didn't do anything to help. There was some sort of odd pleasure in seeing a kithain blind. Luciel could definately smell whomever it was that was talking. Pteryx, was it? Sniffing the air again, the mancubus turned towards the Fey. She could not see her, but she could face her general direction.
"Kithain? That would be me, I think..." she trailed off. She wanted to know how the window -children interacted, so she stayed quiet.
Dionaea simply listened. Pteryx sounded older, and much wiser, than she was. But, what was she? What was her totem?
Walking down the long, dark hallway, Sizzla could hear her feet echo in the distance. Up ahead, Procyon was half-walking, half-prowling on all fours, moving ever closer to her chambers. Sizzla could tell that the child was tired, but she remained focused and quick, even though her body was wearing out.
Procyon lurked along the hallways, cautious to anyone who may be around. Then she heard it. Voices. She stopped dead in her tracks, listening to what she was hearing. Were they Fey? She turned to Sizzla and motioned for her to follow behind, and then scampered on into a large room off to the left.
Sizzla trusted Procyon's sense of where she was and what was going on. Finally, she too could hear the voices up ahead. She heard what was definitely a human voice, and then two more child-like voices. As she caught up with Procyon, she was standing in the doorway of the Inner Sanctum, it's walls lined in stained glass, each window containing a totem, like Procyon's raccoon. She saw the other woman standing there, looking a bit confused. Then, she saw the two Fey children. "Hello there!" she called out into the half-darkness. "I'm new around here, and I'm glad I've finally seen someone!" She wiped the sweat off of her brow, and moved farther into the room, holding Procyon's hand as the pair walked in together.
Turning her head, suprised, Lu sniffed the air again. Two more, and one definately had fur. Some small rodent, she thought. Turning her body in the scent's general direction, she managed a blind wave.
"Hello! I can't see you, but you're more than welcome. To me, anyway..."
Dionaea's ears perked. She heard someone else, very small, coming into the Inner Sanctum. Were those wings fluttering? She got the distinct impression that another Fey was here as well! More people to meet, and more stories to tell! The Venus Flytrap was very happy, indeed.
"New Fey!" she cried happily.
"Oh good, I felt so lost here all by myself..." Sizzla shuffled toward the voice, her hand gripping Procyon's. She was a little afraid of what she'd find when the others came out of the darkness. She hadn't know what to expect since arriving at the Castle.
Procyon heard the little voice call out, and she couldn't help but respond. She could hear the slight fluttering of wings, and knew that it was another Fey. A huge smile broke across her face, as Procyon was happy for the first time since the curse had been broken. Her normally happy demeanor had all but faded since she had been trapped by the curse, but now, she was free to be herself again.
"Hihi!" she shouted into the semi-darkness. "Pro-cyonnn! Who you?" Her sentences were simple, but they did get the point across. Procyon pulled her hand from Sizzla's grasp, and she ran on all fours toward the voice, wanting to see who was there. Sizzla followed behind her, ready to see the faces behind the voices...
Clapping, partially from happiness and partially to help guide the Raccoon, Dionaea giggled. So wonderful to meet someone else, too! Though she could not see, she could barely make out a shadow. Procyon had a wonderfully bushy tail! She would definately have to ask about that.
"I Dee-oh-naya!" the little Fey explained. "Pro-cyon!" She would have to commit that to memorty. Was Procyon all fuzzy like her tail? Dionaea reached out to see.
Lu stepped closer towards the human voice. Was she human? The mancubus couldn't tell just by her voice, but she sounded friendly enough. Lu hoped her horns wouldn't scare away the new kithain. She wanted to make more friends.
"My name is Luciel, and this is Dionaea. It's a pleasure to meet you two." She could not see Procyon very well, but she knew the Fey had to be adorable.
Procyon heard the small Fey's clapping and followed the noise, staying in the shadows until the pair came into view. She saw that they meant no harm, and a large goofy grin spread across her face. Her tail puffed up and twitched happily. "Hi Deeonnniiiaaah!" She scampered over to the woman and the Fey, and sat next to the woman's feet, waiting for the little girl to come down and play with her.
Sizzla watched as Procyon greeted the other Fey and the woman. Sizzla's own wings twitched, her fae background reacting to the two girls. She was in fact half-fae, and wasn't too surprised to hear that she was a Kithain. But coming here sure had been a task. She had no idea that this world even existed.
She walked over to the horned woman who was holding a gorgeous baby Fey. "Well, this must be Dionaea. She's beautiful." She reached out to the little girl, tapping her on the nose gently. "Hello there! This little girl," she picked Procyon up off of the floor, letting her see Dionaea close up. "Is Procyon. She just came out of her window as a matter of fact. We've been looking for her chambers. I'll bet the two of you will want to be friends." Sizzla smiled, then stopped, forgetting something.
"Oh, I'm Sizzla." She shifted Procyon to her hip, and extended a hand to Luciel. "It's very nice to meet you. I didn't think anyone was here. It's so dark and lonely..."
Pteryx followed the other ones easily, not at all knowing what the fuss was about. It couldn't be that bad in here, it was just like a dark moonless night?
There were more children! Pteryx suddenly felt very out of place, they were little ones who didn't know anything. She did feel a little twitch of envy though at how carefree and uncaring they were. It didn't take long for Pteryx, who was usually very chatty, to sink into a sudden quiet mood.
Pteryx read a lot since coming out of the window, seeing as there wasn't anyone to play with. She hadn't played with toys or other girls for ages, but she'd read a lot and Pteryx liked books. What if Pteryx had forgotten how to play, what if the other two knew that she'd forgotten and didn't want to play with her?
They were probably really stupid games, Pteryx decided stubbornly. They were probably baby games. She wasn't a baby, she'd even gotten to speak to a Sun Court prisoner!
"It's not dark and lonely, it's just night time." Pteryx answered Sizzla's comment, crossing her arms and wings just like her totem might have. She gestured upwards towards the star constellations above their heads. "See?"
It then occared to Pteryx that she'd never flown up there. She'd have to go up there one day.
Lu giggled, allowing Dionaea to slip to the floor. The tiny Fey girl reached up to try and touch Procyon. She wanted to get to know the new people! "Pwokeeon!" she giggled. The fluffy Fey's tail was very intriuging. Dionaea blinked when Pteryx began to speak again, and offered the older Fey child to come and greet them face-to-face.
"Tewix! Come play!" The older Fey child spoke much more, and she wanted to hear every bit of what Pteryx had to say.
Scratching the area beneath a horn, Lu nodded to Sizzla. "It's nice to meet all of you. I'm sorry for complaining about the darkness. I wish I could see in here... Luckily, though, I can smell you all just fine. Helps me not run into anyone." She gave a short laugh. She also wanted to see Ptteryx and didn't want the older Fey to feel left out.
"Pteryx, are there other children here as well? Or were you all alone?"
Sizzla saw the bat Fey who was hiding in the shadows, her orange hair giving her away. "Aah, I suppose you're right," she said to the young girl who seemed quite at home in the darkness. She looked up at the sky in the Sanctum, admiring the stars. It was a particularly beautiful night for stargazing. "But it does seem a bit lonely here. It seems like this place has been untouched for centuries. But from what I've heard of this castle, many of the Fey have been trapped for centuries, leaving the castle to do what nature intended. Do you enjoy your time here?"
At the same time that the horned woman inquired about her, Sizzla did the same. "Surely you're not alone here? Where are the others?"
Procyon sat on the floor, engaged in fun time with Dionaea. She twiched her tail around and puffed it up, waiting for Dionaea to play with it. Sizzla watched this smiling. It was just like how she played with her own cats at home. They loved to play with their own tails, or anything that remotely resembled a tail, for that matter.
It was then that she noticed the other Fey in the room. She waved to the girl in the darkness, urging her to come and play. "HiHi! Come here...Play!" The raccoon fey flashed a smile at her, hoping to meet yet another friend.
It was then that Sizzla took notice of the other older woman in the room. They seemed about the same age, and Sizzla saw that she had horns protruding from her head. Interesting, she thought to herself. She had seen many people like her in Gaia, where wonders never ceased.
"Hi, it's nice to meet you too. I thought we were all alone here for awhile. It's good to know that there are others around. I can see some in the dark, but eating all of those carrots as a child didn't seem to really pay off for me." She laughed thinking about how she must of inherited her poor eyesight from the human side of the family.
Then she got to thinking of her arrival at the castle..."How did you find this place, if I may inquire?" She asked Lu, curious as to how others found out that they were Kithain.
Dionaea was delighted, watching Procyon's tail puff and sway. She was a raccoon, they said? She'd have to commit that to memory and ask her Kithain to tell her everything she knew about them. Too bad she didn't have any sort of fluffy appendage. But plants weren't known for such things anyway. Procyon was lots of fun, and Dionaea decided to make the Raccoon her first friend.
"Fwend!" she called Procyon. It was wonderful to meet someone knew, and she was fluffy!
How did she find this place? It seemed like a dream. Leaning her weight on one foot, the mancubus began to think. "Well, I remember hearing a message. From a raven, I think. I'm not sure. But then, I was lead to this fairy ring, and I heard a voice call to me. The next thing I know, there's this all-but-naked woman standing in front of me..."
Shaking her head, (as nakedness was the last thing she expected to see on the other side of a fairy ring) Lu smiled. "Sizzla, are you... You're not human. Are you a fairy too? If you don't mind me asking... I don't know much about these sorts of things."
Pteryx blinked a few times, moving foward to sit on the floor as well. Maybe she could still play games, they were as good as books. Pteryx still had vauge memories though of trying to play some of the games and running into walls because it was all about being quiet and hiding.
"There's another girl who is my age, but she isn't with me." Pteryx answered, getting another clear look of the other fey girls as she spoke. The tail interested her, Pteryx hadn't seen anything like it.
Procyon watched with great interest as Pteryx sat down on the floor and moved slowly in the direction of her and Dionaea. She twitched her tail again, observant of the other young girls around her. They seemed to like her fluffy tail, and she'd use it if it meant she'd have more friends. "Come play! Like tail?" She asked the bat-Fey, who seemed to be somewhat interested.
Then she heard Dionaea's insistence of "Fwend!" and decided that yes, they should definitely be friends. "Yush, friends!" She smiled at Dionaea, clapping her hands a bit. She gave the little Fey a pat on the back, quickly observing if she had any shinies on her. She did love shiny things.
Sizzla turned to Pteryx. "Well, I'm glad there are others around. It looks like these two want to be friends with you..." She drifted off, letting the bat-Fey decide if she really wanted to be friends with the babies.
She turned to Lu, giggling slightly about the naked woman. "Yeah! I saw her too. I was a bit taken aback...I wasn't expecting to show up and be escorted by a pretty...um...unclothed person. She was quite beautiful though, so I suppose she can walk around like that if she wants." Sizzla smiled at Lu, and nodded. "No, I'm not a human. Well, sort of. I'm half human, and half Fae. So, at least I've got some height to me. But I've got these wings, and I have some fae powers...but few." She pointed to Lu's horns, curious. "You know, I've seen other Gaians with horns like yours. What exactly are you, if you don' mind me asking?"
Dionaea was blissful as Pteryx came closer. She wanted to know everthing she could about both of the other females. Like, what animal was Procyon? Could Pteryx fly? She'd definately have to try and formulate a way to ask these things, as keeping mental note of conversations was her favorite past-time.
Lu marveled at Sizzla's wings. Half-fae? Wings always fascinated her. She blinked at the mention of her horns. Other Gaians had horns like her? Were they mancubi like she was? At least Sizzla wasn't fully human - she had nothing to fear.
"I was wondering why you said that other Gaians had my horns. I myself am a Mancubus. There aren't many of us, but we each have a unique genetic fluke that sets us apart from humans. My fluke is my horns." She smiled and pointed to them, out of sheer nervousness. Would Sizzla find her to be a monster once she finished explaining? "I have a bond-brother who has a scorpion's tail."
After a moment of uneasy silence, Lu finished. "We eat humans."
"It's a good tail." Pteryx answered reaching out carefully to touch the end. She didn't want to touch it too much, in case she wasn't supposed to, but it look nice.
Maybe these two could come on flying trips with her at night? "Can you both fly?" Pteryx flapped her arms and the wings on her back as she asked, her leathery wings causing the dust to rise.
...wait.
There was something good about this horned person. She ATE humans! Pteryx immediately decided that perhaps some kithain weren't as bad as the others.
Procyon giggled as Pteryx came closer to examine her tail. She was happy to see that everyone she had met so far liked her. She heard the girl say her tail was good and she did like the praise. "Thanks 'Twix! Tail gooooodddd..." She flicked it around a bit more, and let it rest for awhile, allowing the other girls to pet it if they wanted.
"Fly? Was' fly?" Procyon asked Pteryx as she examined the leathery bat wings attached to the bat-Fey's arms. She reached out to touch them, curious about how they felt. She was a bit hesitant, hoping the girl wouldn't mind...But she had touched Procyon's tail, so she figured it'd be okay.
Sizzla grinned at Lu. "Good thing I'm not a human, eh? Hopefully my human blood won't attract you..." She laughed. "Have you eaten many humans? I guess I haven't seen anything quite like you before. I've just seen horned ones, though now that I think about it, they were probably demons, not Mancubus."
Sizzla thought about most of the people she had met in Gaia, and quickly realized that the majority of them were not pure human. The genepool in Gaia was a pretty mixed bag. "What is a bond brother?" she asked the blonde woman, curious to find out more about this new species.
"Fly?" asked the Venus Flytrap. Pteryx had flapped her wings, which must've been an indication of what she was talking about. Excitedly, she buzzed her own Fey wings. Procyon had them, too! But she had a tail, which was cool and fluffy. Giggling, Dionaea pet the raccoon's tail. It was very soft, and Procyon had a neat mask on her face, too!
Dionaea immediately pointed to it. "Wha dat?" Was it a mask?
Lu thought of her bond-brother, Serath. "I have eaten quite a few humans in my lifespan. I'm actually 30 human years old, but we age much slower. And no, I only eat pure humans." She smiled, letting Sizzla know she wasn't lying. Anyone without pure human blood was poisonous to her kind. "Bond-brothers and bond-sisters are Mancubi who are unrelated to us by blood, but are kind of like siblings... Do fairies have them?"
Pteryx let Procyon touch the leathery wings, even stretching out an arm. It was a bit confusing to her, that the other girls didn't seem to know what flying was.
"When you flap your wings and go up as high as the sky." Pteryx pointed upwards. "I like flying because you feel really free and light, and you can see everything! One day I will be able to fly as high as the moon."
Procyon slowly moved her hand toward Pteryx's wing, and touched it gently, feeling the leathery texture of her bat wings. She flicked her own wings, but realized they were very different from this girls. They weren't allowing her to fly, she knew that. She pointed to her wings, and turned to Pteryx. Maybe the older girl could help her learn to fly.
"Flappy wings? Moon?" Her fey wings twitched again like Dionaea's. She still wasn't going as high as the sky. Her bottom stayed flat on the ground. "Me wanna go high! Why no fly?" she asked Pteryx.
She turned to Dionaea, who seemed to be enjoying her tail. "Sooofftttt." She cooed as the other little girl petted her it. Then she heard what the other girl was referring to. The circles around her eyes. "I don know. Dark. Circles. Like mask?" She reached out to touch Dionaea's antennae, for she hadn't yet seen anyone with those things. She had ears herself, but no antennae. She poked one of them with her finger and giggled. "Fun!"
"Oh good," Sizzla sighed. "I'm glad you only eat pure humans. Let's hope you don't have to be around too many full human Kithain. There might be some trouble." Sizzla laughed and nodded at Lu playfully. She meant no harm by it.
"Well, we don't have bond-brothers and sisters per se, but it is like we're family. I've met a few half-fae in Gaia, and one of my best friends there is half-fae as well. We all seem to know each other at least, and are friendly to each other when we meet. We are all descended from different families, but we do share that fae bond." She smiled at the Mancubus, and paused.
"Do you know if these lovely young ladies have a room here or something? That's what we were on our way to find when I heard noise in here."
Dionaea giggled playfully as Procyon toched her antennae. She thought they were pretty cool, too. And her Kithain loved to call them "dooblybobbers". She remembered stuff like that. It was her job.
Her wings twitched, wondering if she buzzed them hard enough, she would flutter like she imagined Pteryx could. Perhaps when they were older?
"Fly! Coonie fly!" She thought that Procyon would make an excellent flight instructor as well.
The Mancubus had never met a half-fae, and thus had no idea they all shared a common bond. The thought gave her that warm, fuzzy feeling inside. Too bad most Mancubi hated each other and were rudely territorial.
"I'm so glad to hear that half-fae all share a common bond. Mancubi don't generally... Oh! And we can't fly, either." She grinned at the thought. "Though I suppose that wings could be one of our genetic mutations... Never seen anyone with them..."
Rooms? Oh yes! Dionaea had a chamber, and Lu figured Pteryx did as well. "Yep. Dionaea came standard with her own place. I didn't think it was a good idea, seeing as she's only one year old. Would you and Pteryx like to see it? I'm sure we can find Procyon's room too!"
Procyon bobbled Dionaea's antennae one more time, then sat back on her haunches, hovering right above the stone floor. She saw Dionaea twitching her wings, and moved her own around a bit, getting a feel for what they could do. And it was then that she realized they couldn't do much.
"Hummmmm...." she thought, not wanting to disappoint Dionaea. "Well Deeohneeaaah...I don think we fly...Flying ish hard!" She smiled at Pteryx, who she was mighty impressed with. "Not like Pet-twix. But, I like to run! See?" She scampered around the other baby, quick as a flash, and stopped in front of her again, her breathing a slight bit heavier. "See?!"
"Well," said Sizzla, wanting to clarify for Lu. "We don't necessarily have that blood bond, but we do think of each other as family. Somewhere along the line we all came from the same fae...So we look at it that way. Plus, the fae are a peaceful bunch. There isn't much bickering between those of us with fae backgrounds."
She looked around the room again, taking in the sight of the place. "It would be nice to see the rooms of the other children. And finding Procyon's room would be a good idea. She does need a place to stay. From what I understand, she can't come to Gaia with me. But I'm sure there's a safe place for her here. And she'll want to visit Dionaea too, from the looks of it. They seem to be getting along quite well." She giggled as she watched Procyon scamper around Dionaea as quick as a flash.
"Procyon, come here. Let's go look for your room." She knelt down, her arms out, ready to pick the child up once she was over there. Procyon scampered over on all fours, just about crashing into Sizzla. But Sizzla picked her up just in time, and she giggled as she rested in Sizzla's arms. "How about it ladies? Want to come?" She spoke to the flytrap and bat Fey, smiling warmly.
"Yes, lets!" Procyon waved to them, trying to convince the pair to come with. "We'll play!!" She giggled and settled back down into Sizzla's arms for a rest.
"I don't know... lots of moon court fey can fly. Maybe you need to practice with your wings more." Pteryx paused, she knew that only to be half true. After all, the only person she'd talked with about flying couldn't even manage to land on a branch! "Maybe you can do other things good instead that no one else can do?"
Pteryx looked up at one of the kithain, the one that had asked her a question. "Um... I don't know. They should have chambers that their parents used to have, but I don't know where they are."
She nodded at the human-eating kithain. If she knew where one of them lived, she could visit. Maybe even sleep there, if her own kithain wasn't home?
Dionaea clapped and giggled. Procyon was so wonderous, and very, very fast! She loved to run, too, but she was not as quick as the Raccoon. Perhaps she could be if she practiced more?
"Pwoceeon ish fast!"
Padding over to Dionaea, Lu picked her up gently. The youngest Fey yawned and stretched, very much ready to enjoy a nice nap in her quarters. Lu was happy to lead the others along, if they so desired.
"I'd be more than happy to have you guys come over to Dionaea's chamber. Maybe we can find Procyon's along the way?"
Dionaea had been taking in everything the two Kithain had said since they began their conversation. Everything Sizzla had explained about Fae people, and everything Lu had said about her own people. She must remember this, and remembering things was what she was good at. The tiny Fey smiled inwardly. This was fun!
"Yes, let's go," said Sizzla, who was looking forward to finding Procyon's room. The little raccoon Fey nested down in her arms, yawning slightly, her eyes fluttering closed every now and then. "I think this little one could use a nap. Would you like to lead Pteryx? You seem like you know your way around here quite well. I'm sure we'll find Procyon's room if we just look around some."
Procyon wiggled a bit in Sizzla's arms, trying to get comfortable. She was tired, and all that running around had her all tuckered out. She was happy to be going to her room too, so she could sleep for a long time. It had been a trying day for the little girl, who had just come out of the window. "Sleeeeppp..." She muttered, her eyes half open as she fell into sleep. "Fwendsssss..."
The pair turned toward the door of the Inner Sanctum and walked back out into the hallway, their footsteps sounding hollow on the stone floors...
Pteryx stood up, following the others with ease in the darkness. "I don't know where they are either, I think. There are empty chambers all over the castle but maybe I've passed them while wandering? I bet that Procyon would remember which is hers, because it would have things from when she was last there still in it. We can just open the doors and look in as we pass."
She paused, then shook her head. Pteryx could hear the sounds of birds singing, and that meant dawn wasn't too far off. "But I have got to go back to my chambers. I will see you all tomorrow night, maybe?"
Without waiting for an answer, Pteryx rushed as fast as she could manage back towards her chambers.

Quote: This is the first time I've come to Dionaea's chambers since Serath, my Blood Brother, attacked and cursed me. The runes he placed on my back and legs hurt me very much, but I know that Dionaea needs me. At least, I hope she does. When I arrived, she was more than happy to see me, bouncing up and down on her rug. "Momma!" she cried to me. She then crawled to my leg, wings buzzing happily. Of course I was happy to see her, too. The pain subsided briefly, enough for me to pick her up and carry her over to the rocking chair. "Howf yu ben?" she asked. I sighed. She would want to know, and she always listened. Always. I felt that, even though she was just a year old in human terms, she deserved to know. If I didn't tell her, she'd keep asking why Momma was in such pain. She deserved to know. So I told her everything. About Serath coming to stay, about his anger, him attacking me, him cursing me, my pain. Everything. And she listened, never once interupting me with questions. Never once averting her eyes from my face. That's why I loved her. I could tell her everything, and she would never tell another soul. After my long tale, she frowned. That was the first time I'd ever seen her do such a thing. She never frowned. She seemed concerned, even for a small baby. I told her not to worry. I'd be fine.

Quote: Dionaea been gone for a few hours. I recently came back into Castellum Umbra to check on her, and she's not here! She's only a year old! I know I shouldn't go wandering around in a magical castle, but I feel very compelled to. I know Dionaea will stay out of trouble, but if she's with the raccoon, then... I don't even want to think about it. If worse comes to worse, perhaps the woman Nox can find them? I'll just wait here until she returns. I'm sure it won't be too much longer... I hope.

Dionaea finally stumbled back into her chambers, tired but very happy. Luciel looked up from her place on the Fey's bed, weary from boredom, and skittered across the room to scoop up the tired baby.
"Where have you been all day, Dionaea?!" the mancubus cried, worried sick about where the small window child had gotten all this time. There was no way Lu could navigate the castle to find her, but was so relieved when the Venus Flytrap practically fell into her chambers again.
Dionaea wiggled helplessly, consumed by a massive yawn. "Splowin wiff Pwoceeon an Feetee..." she finished quietly, sinking into a deep slumber in Luciel's shoulder. The mancubus sighed, just relieved by the fact that her ward was alright. She quietly sat down in the rocking chair and begin to hum, rocking back and forth tosoothe her nerves more than anything else.
How stressful a window child was...

The next morning... Luciel had placed Dionaea back on her bed for the night, she herself falling asleep on the rug in the center of the room. Smacking her lips and rolling over, Luciel's back and hips popped quite loudly. After stretching and scratching her belly, she barely opened her gray eyes. Seeing light pour forth from the window above, the manucbus grumbled and turned back over, digging her chin into the plush rug once more. Only the voice of someone she thought she recognized made her eyes open wide. "Lu...?" asked the voice, older and more mature than what she had remembered it to be. Luciel stretched again and looked up, scratching behind the base of her horns and then rubbed her eyes. There was someone, taller, busty, and slightly confused, standing above her. Her purple and green hair was familiar, as was her clothing. But Luciel didn't put two and two together. Confused, the mancubus stood up. "You look like..." Luciel laid a hand on her hip, watching the confused.... teenager? "Lu, it's me! Dionaea!" exclaimed the teen, brushing her longer hair out of her face. Her new chest was getting in the way, too, but she would get used to it. Luciel's jaw dropped. "DEE? I get you back her and you hit puberty and then some overnight? Like Gyre?" She felt faint, but would still stand. She was amazed. Dionaea had sprouted into teenhood overnight! The new teen shifted back and forth on her heals, getting used to her new height and weight. "I would like to go see Procyon and Mephiti again... Dionaea purred quietly. Luciel would allow her to do whatever she pleased now that she was older. But would she still retain that innocence of childhood...?
