One thing I hope this does is make the Japanese that are outraged do something about their military status! WWII is over and the US-Japan ties have never been better! The world wants to see Japan rise as a player in power. So what if Japan can defend? Eventually, if things continue the way their going, you need to attack. When does the call for war come?... and when it comes Japan needs to be prepared psycologically and militaraly. The US is an allie but their fighiting a war already, Japan needs its own strength to rely on! I hope they can find that strength.

Aiko_589 we will not attack unless missle land on territory stare Has that been declaired by the government or just the feelings of the population? And if so how do they intend to take such actions? Do the people approve of having a japanese army to protect Japan?

And if so how do they intend to take such actions? Do the people approve of having an army to protect Japan? It is an obvious fact that Japan or any other country will not counter attack unless N. Korea especifically fires a missile into another country. Russia, China, Japan, S. Korea and the US are trying to solve this diplomatically.

Japan has plenty of military power, the Self Denfense Force is one of the strongest militaries in the world, even if it is not viewed as a military.

Yes... last time I checked the (flash) news, they showed a story about the birth of a baby seal in a zoo somewhere after, say, three minutes about the missiles. Apparently, they're not as harmful as they sound (I think).

mitsuki_shi Hm, Korea fired another long range missile this morning, but it fell in the sea of Japan. This makes Seven Missiles in all.
The Japanese have closed all ports to Korean ships, and have sent out something akin to coast guards to keep korean ships away from Japanese waters.
Summary: The Japanese are angry at Korea. Yeah, its been on the news all day for the past two days. From what I understood from the TV, they are not sure whether they if the Tepowhatever it was was fired at Japan, because it landed in the Sea of Japan closer to Russia actually. But its quite alarming, and I am worried a bit

If the missiles begin to suceed in their lunches, you never know what they will do.
Korea said that they wanted to put into orbit, but I hardly believe that is true. Yet, they have announced that their launching was a success. You can't help but wonder what they were really doing or planning.

Thats kind of stupid. But I called my mom the other day and she said she hadn't heard anything about it (she had to go home early because of work)...why is the US being so lax about it. D:
