Since you went for a critical area, you had a 50/50 chance.
Rolled a 5, so you get another Crit x4
But the owlbear is flailing around so much, you can't get his eye, rolled 3 & 6 for dodge
*Since Shion has forced the creature's head down to avoid her attack, he punches upward with the palm of hand, trying to use the creatures momentum to hurt him more.*
Rolled a 1, no Crit
But the owlbears moving head dodges my attack too with 3 & 6
*The owlbear is engraged now and grabs for the nearest Angel, trying to pull them into a bearhug. Since Shion is above him, he goes for her, trying to pull her off and into his arms.*

Shion panics, and bunches her legs under her, leaping backwards, trying to get out of the way of the owlbear.

I rolled a 3, so no Crit
I then rolled 5, 6 for Shion to Dodge and she wasn't grabbed, she flipped off his back in time.
((Luckily for you...he does full damage when holding, not the usual half damage!))

Shion's leap brings her back to the bulkhead, which she plants her feet against, pushing off of it towards the owlbear to perform a flying headbutt from her position in midair.

*Wizard jumps, doing a spinkick in midair, trying to hit the owlbear while he's off balance. Since it was already dodging, the creature throws up its arms trying to protect itself.*

Wizard does 32+27 for 59 dam
Owlbear blocks for 6+19 for 25, taking 34 dam, LIFE = 200

*The monster reeled on Wizard, biting at him. Wizard lands his attack and suddenly the air begins to charge with static electricity. When the monster bites down, it hits a blue wall of energy, MAGIC GUARD.*
I rolled a 6, so Crit damage x2
The owlbear does 14+26 x2 for 80 dam.
Wizard defends for 53+30 for 83, so the attack is reflected back at the monster, minus Nat Def of 8, taking 72 dam, LIFE = 128

Not to be outdone, Shion threw her left arm out wide, the pieces opening up, a loud hum heard as the static charge builds. Then, in a flash, she dashes forward, two rods swinging out of her arm, forming the charge into a pure blade of energy, which she slashes at the creature. SHOCK BLADE!

*The creature is still stunned from biting into pure static electricity and doesn't have time to dodge, it can only throw up it's arms again, hoping to defend enough. Too late, it sees the electric rods pop up to shock it.*

Shion does 25+16 for 41 dam
Owlbear defends for 11+19 for 30, taking 11 dam, LIFE = 117.
It is now stunned for 3 turns.
*Wizard smiles, watching the electricity race through the creature.*
You know, it's amazing that both our hair isn't standing straight up on end.
*The Defense Angel doens't want to touched the electrified creature with anything other than his rubber boots. So he kicks it in the head, sending it sprawling.*

He does 30+27 for 57 dam

*Wizard steps to the side, sweeping his arm out to the side as an invitation.*

Shion just shrugs, and lays into the creature with a flurry of punches, absorbing the ambient static electricity into her capacitors for later use, sensing the thing's almost down, and intending to get it there fast.

Minus Nat Def of 8, is 48 dam... the creature is dead!

Shion gave a shrug. "I don't know how they got on the ship, but there are defenatly more. There was a veratable horde coming down the hall before that bulkhead closed. I advise we move forward with caution. If we can get to the armory, maybe we can meet up with others, or find some weapon to help us defeat whatever is leading this invasion." Pulling out her terminal, she pulled up the schematics of the ship. "Hmmm. I'm pretty sure the Armory is in the direction that the bulkhead sealed off, so we will have to find an alternate route. Any ideas?"

I'm sure that there are alternate routes around it. We could try the ventilation shafts if they're big enough, or we could go way out of our way to get there. Since I just signed on with you guys, I admit that I don't know the ship well enough. What do the schematics show?
Actually, with you by my side, we can easily team up against anything we run in to.

Shion gave a small blush, and refered back to the schematics. "The ventelation shafts would work, but if we where attacked, we would be helpless. Our best bet is to go down into the hanger where they store the mechanized fighters, and come up through one of the service hatches." looking around, she pointed down one of the halls. "About 300 meters down this way is a service tunnel we can use to get down there. Shall we go?"

*Science wasn't his forte, magic was, so he felt totally out of his element. He's really just signed on to be extra muscle and to get to see new things, never realizing that he'd be so far out of his environment. But Shion seemed like the stout type, not afraid of confronting things head on. He really liked that and mentally commended her for it.*

Shion set off at a fast trot, keeping an eye on her motion tracker. She came to a stop about 50 meters from the service tunnel. "Damn. There's something up ahead. Big. Just around the corner. Don't know what it is, but it isn't human.
