I'm better in rehersals than I am for the performance. I've got the best soprano voice in my class, but if I'm nervous, my voice gets messed up and I start singing an octave lower. So, yeah, I'm not always that great.

Most of the time im good but ever once in a while like in my spring concert choir I was the tallest soprano so i had to stand next to a really tall baratone but the choir sounded great i was just goin a tiny bit lower than usual

Good days vs Bad days aside...

I'm kinda good depending on what you are looking for.

I'm not meant to be a soloist in a concert setting. My range is rather limited. I'm two notes shy of being a "true" tenor on the low end and two notes shy of being a "true" alto on the higher end (going by region chorus audition scale requirements). However I am good at holding onto a harmony and staying on pitch so I can be a reliable alto and I can blend pretty well. I don't try to overpower anyone and stand out.

My "solo" singing style is better suited for karaoke night. Usually I end up singing something that was made famous by a male performer.

I sound my best when I sing along to the radio in my car. Since I'm alone I'm totally uninhibited and I just let it all out and experiment with my voice. But I can never bring myself to reach that level when I karaoke. I'm too scared to take a risk.

For me, it depends. Some days, I'm very good, some days, I suck.

It's funny, whenever I don't throw the gum I'm chewing away like I'm supposed to when my choir starts singing, I'm bad. Cracky voice..etc...
Someone in my school district didn't throw away her gum, and when she started singing, it got lodged in her throat.

But with death and such aside, I am the 'best' singer in my guys choir according to my choir teachers, my accompanist, and several other people. They say I have an extremely mature voice for my age, I guess that's a good thing...But you never know. I'm 14 by the way.

I think I'm... Decent, for the most part. I'm a horrible soloist. I get nervous and my breath support goes out the window, I start freaking out about not projecting so my theater training comes back and I drop into chest voice so my tone gets all freaky and then I end up off pitch and can't reach some of the notes so I try to switch registers halfway through a phrase, which never works. *shudders* I don't like singing solos. But I do great in an ensemble. I don't read very well, but I'm getting better. I can hold a harmony pretty well, and usually find my part in the mix. I do my best singing in the barn when no one else is there, though. Great acoustics in the hallways, and the horses always seem to appreciate my singing. biggrin

I don't want to sound like a huge egotist, but I am really good. The only bad days I have are when I'm really sick. Other than that, I'm pretty darn good.

BTW, I'm a Soprano I, but my vocal range goes down to about medium to low Alto.

I'm good compared to most singers in the chorus I am in now. I'm not good compared to the singers in the a-capella chorus I want to join!

I live by the saying.. "If you don't love you, then no one else will." I, personally, love the way I sing.

I also think that I'm the strongest voice in my section, but that's probably just me being conceited.

I dunno how good I am when I listen to myself while I sing I think I sound awful......I wonder why........but I have been told by my music teacher in grade 7 and 8 that i have a "voice like a angel" her words not mine. And lots of people like meh friends and random people who hear me sing think I'm good too..........oh btw I'm new and I'm a soprano and I live in Canada.

Mmmm I think I'm pretty good... I've been told that I could pay my way through colledge with my voice from a vocal instructor...I think I might take that up as a good scholarship idea....I've also been cast in leads for the Musicals for a few years.... I have a good natural ear for tone and harmonies ( IE: I can tell you if you are off pitch and what way you are off pitch, and I can pretty easily find a harmony note for the alto line by only hearing the 3 other parts and no piano...), but it was developed in and by all my musical exposure... in other words I do not have perfect pitch... I can however give you a B flat (pretty acurately) if need be. I'm ok at rhythms, but not the best since I don't pay attention to my music sometimes because I'm usually trying to make sure I don't make up a harmony line that isn't there....I do solos ok (even I get nervous ), but I like singing in groups for the sheer joy of the pretty sounds you can make heart ....

I'm one of the best singers in my choir, and I think I'm pretty good. People have been telling me I sing well since I was little. I sing a lot, though, and it has made me better. Much better. When I'm nervous I'm not as good, or when I'm sick.
