When I said he seemed more like a comic relief, I wasn't ruling out that he could be a sub-boss. I just figured him more for the aristocrat than the fighter. I was thinking he'd want to be standing behind the one who held ultimate power so that he'd never have to get his hands dirty. He always seemed so pissed off whenever he had to do something that wasn't really easy.

Judyfay Sins ::pulls out his gem box and casts cure 3 on himself followed by quick, then casts life 3, then ultima, then ultima again, and then ultima again:: No thanks... sweatdrop *before the ultima barage, casts shell on Kefka* Not that he really needs it. One would think you'd have cast quick instead of the third Ultima, fool. *dies in the ensuing Ultimas, only to be revived seconds later by his fairy in a bottle* Got it from Gannon in the dimensional rift.

Wait I thought quick didnt work when cast during quick... Or maybe i'm just a recovering stoner... not sure...

I've never actually done it, but my brother said he has. He claimed it was the cheapest way to victory if the economizer is involved:
X-Magic:
Ultima, Quick, Ultima, Ultima, Ultima, Quick, Ultima etc.

Yes, it surprised me a bit, when Kefka got thrown into jail.
I was like, "...The hell?"
Then, once he shows up to stab Leo and Gestahl, I was all "Oh, of course. I mean, duh."
Then the whole screwing with the statues... and the Kefka's Tower, and everything.
Hoo boy.
I must admit, though... (no offense to master Kefka)
He threw me off completely in his sand-castle (heh-heh, sand-castle, get it?) appearence.
I thought he was prissy, (even his battle image at Narshe looks kinda girlish...) then he just goes and kills things on a massive scale.
BAM, instant gratification. Now I'm positive he's evil!

I remember being able to cast quick then a spell then quick about forever but I could just be dumb. Must hunt down the cables to my SNES and hope my game didn't erase itself like it likes to do.
I had no idea Kefka would be the boss. I don't usually think about it really. I just go along with the story. I HATE spoilers they drive me nuts. My friend likes to tell me how certian anime end and they I lose the desire to watch them. I've had Samurai X Reflection for a year and a half and still haven't watched it.
I was sad when he killed Leo. I liked him, but you always know Kefka is pure evil I mean he burns Edgars castle and poisons an entire kingdom. Plus his laugh is creepy.

Purasuma Akai Suisen Purasuma I disagree. I thought the fact that he was such a powerful leader-type that he could get soldiers to sweep off his shoes showed potential in him. I figured he'd be more like.... a sub boss, but not the "real" thing. I honestly thought the same thing...that is, until Gestahl was killed , the statues moved and most of the planets surfaces horribly scarred. What a loop that threw me for.....I actuallly thought that I had done something wrong. I wasn't too surprised about who killed Gestahl because I was like "Yeah, Kefka always seemed like an evil guy o_o" Though, Gestahl (and Leo) dieing did surprise me.

I didn't know, actually. Before going BACK to Narshe, I thought it was gonna be Tritoch ((the frozen Esper)). After that, I thought it mighta been Gestahl.

I had a strange feeling he'd be the boss, he was the most interesting character in the game, plus his laugh was infectous, the nifty ones always die.. crying
