His eyes visibly widen as he listens to Kijibwa talk, his mouth parting a little as he tries to think of a word and fails. Never before has Kidondo been speechless but picturing a whole lot of greenery, water, trees and plants make him feel that this jungle must be like a heaven.

For a moment he continued to stare into nothing, those golden eyes filled with wonder as he tried to get his head around the places that filled the world. He wanted to see beauty like that, a beauty that was different from the desert.

He adored the sand and the sun but it would be amazing to see other places, especially ones that sonded so different.

"Inferior you may be, Kijibwa, but blessed you are too for being able to see such natural wonders." He drew himself up into a more noble position and sighed quietly, "I can hardly imagine what it must be like to set gaze upon such a place. Do you intend to live there?"

Kijibwa puffs up proudly at the effect his little speech has on the cub, always enjoying the reaction. Of course, last time he'd tried to describe it to a young one, he'd invited her to go to the jungle- which is why he's on his way back there.

"I'd invite you along but I'm sure that wouldn't be a good idea," he says with a nod, "I'm going to live there for a little while, but not for long. There are other places I haven't really seen either.."

He becomes thoughtful, almost hesitant.

"Maybe exploring in the other direction," he says, glancing out over the sand to the south, the direction from which he came, "I'd only gone as far as the Pridelands, I don't know what's after that though."

"The world sounds like a big place." Kidondo observed slowly, his heart sinking as he realised he'd never get to see it...any of it. "But the world is no place for a Prince of the Firekin. I have responsibilities and a reputation to uphold. Perhaps being royalty is more of a curse than a blessing?"

He swayed slightly, taking a few steps back.

"Perhaps..." His ears flattened back. No, he shouldn't ask such a thing. His father would be angry if he knew that his son had been conversing with inferiors. And yet his heart ached to ask it.

"Perhaps if you pass by here again on your travels we can meet up and speak once more. When I am older I will have the power to keep you from being enslaved though the same cannot be said for any companions you may require on the way." He pawed at the ground and for the first time showed the clear emotion of basfulness. Was this the cub inside of him begging to be set free?

"I would dearly love to hear tales of your adventures."

Kijibwa watches Kidondo's expression and tone when he speaks, nodding in response to the first comment, and again to the second. Royalty, in his opinion, should be able to do what they want. It's sad to watch such a young lion unable to go explore, to learn about the areas that are different than the one he was born into. He looks around at all of the sand, wrinkling his nose at the idea of knowing nothing but the sand.

Maybe it'd be different if he wasn't a rogue, or if he hadn't gotten lost (or so he assumes) when he was a cub.

"I'll make sure I come by here again," he says seriously, smiling down at Kidondo, "and I'd be happy to tell you about anything I see."

He smiles inwardly, reminded that he and Kiburi made a similar agreement when they'd met.

Kidondo nodded and took a step back, bowing his head very slightly. He doesn't know why, but suddenly he has gained a strange respect for this lion. This lion who travels the world as free as the wind.

"I shall look forward to our next meeting, traveller Kijibwa." Is that the tiniest of smiles on his face? Well if there was a smile it quickly faded as Kidondo returned to his expresionless ways, taking a few more steps back up the dune in the direction he came.

"I must make sure to have some tales of my own to share. It's only fair, isn't it?" But what could he say? Perhaps he'd hear something exciting, or see somethign exciting.

He blinks his strange eyes and one can quite tell he is already trying to think of ways to put adventure into his own young life.

"Until we meet again."

The older lion does not stop smiling at the cub despite the more solemn gestures from him. Knowing the time to part is about here, Kijibwa gets to his feet and shakes the sand from his fur.

"I look forward to hearing your stories as well, Kidondo of the Great Firekin pride," he replies, pleased to see that the cub is thinking of things to do that would make worthy stories, and he truly hopes that Kidondo will find something.

"Until then," he agrees, giving a nod of farewell and turning to go back and find Siku.
