Wicked the musical and the book were both different. I think I prefer the novel to the musical, but it was still Fantastic. But - Phantom still remains my favourite.

OMFG! I love Wicked! It's probably my third favorite musical (after Phantom-1- and West Side-2-).

I was talking to my friend about the two Shows.

But, alas, my friend has a bad memory and can't remeber either of them EVEN THOUGH SHE SAW THEM LESS THAN A YEAR AGO!!! ( Actually, for Phantom only ten more days until she saw it a year ago. Yes, I'm keeping track of my One-Year Anniversary of seeing The Phantom of the Opera for the first time. X3 )

Now you can't be talking about me because my anniversery is on Dec. 21. (And I saw Wicked more than a year ago) Back on topic, I want to see Raoul be Fiero for Dancing through life, up until they dance, then he become Gilinda and Christine takes his place.

YES! Raoul would be perfect for that role. It's just that Erik would be great for Elphaba's role, but Erik and Raoul dancing together... uh-uh. Ain't gonna work for me. Though Raoul singing "Popular"... xd

I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT YOU!

Geez.

We didn't go to the same Elementary school, remember?

For fifth grade we went for our Fifth Grade trip.

I only saw a resemblence between "Track down this Murderer" and "Wickedness must be punished". Both have a mob of pissed off people chasing the "antagonist" with torches and the like.

oh man, I loved the plot for wicked, and am contemplating reading the book once I can get my paws on it. The music was pretty good, though some of the songs I didn't find as catchy I must admit....now that I've heard the songs a couple dozen times, that's another story.

The book is much, much more serious and in-depth than the musical. The musical only barely sticks to the facts from the book. Just be prepared for that, and I think you'll enjoy it. I did.

Ooh, guess what, Youko-chan?! Remember when we came up with Phantom people singing the Wicked lyrics? Here's a verse to the changed version- from "I'm Not that Girl" to "I'm Not A Girl," sung by Erik.

So what if I
Stole Christine's stockings, why
It was only once- what's the deal?
Be-damned fop, you fool
I'm not a girl!

Erik and Elphaba are both ostracized largely due to ther physical appearences. Though because they are of different gender, the ways the handle their problems vary slightly. Also Erik is accustomed to murdering for his and others' sakes. Elphaba murders once or twice, then becomes increasingly paranoid. Also that they both have simliar endings- those who've read the books will understand what I'm speaking of- and that they lose their true loves is very interesting.

Also that both Erik and Elphaba are despised by their mothers; occasionally Melena wasn't as frigid to Elphaba.

The biggest difference is the book Wicked has lots of schmex within its pages. Truly yummy. whee

And that Elphaba has a son and Erik doesn't get with Christine long enough to do that kind of thing... sweatdrop sweatdrop sweatdrop Don't hurt me...
