*Smiles a bit, when she comforts him, and leans back* It's just Ariana. She used to be such a sweet girl. Even recently, mostly. But over the past few months, she's become....well, a brat!
*He listens for a second, and then sighs*
Like now. She just went back in her room and blasted music. That's it. She's done this to herself. Would you excuse me for a second?
*Alex gets up, goes to the other room, gets his cell phone, calls Verizon, and has Ariana's cell phone put on lockdown, so it's completely useless. Then, he walks back in to Lira, sits down, holds her hand, and says, "Well, brace yourself. She'll come down now, but it won't be pretty...."*

Maybe this was a bad idea. Maybe you should have told her you were seeing me before I met her. This is a bit much. *gives his hand a little squeeze, and leans in to kiss him on the cheek* Maybe we should wait and tell her the other news?

No. Not until you learn your manners. Besides, trying to talk to someone on a cell phone while blasting music is an oxy-moron. You'll be deaf in 10 years. Now, sit down, and talk. If you behave yourself, you may just cut down how long your punishment lasts.

*squeezes back his hand, not sure what to do or say* Ariana, I'm sorry about the whole head patting thing earlier. I'm not used to being around children. I've never really been good around them, although I have wanted some of my own. What kind of things are you into? And I just want you to understand that I want to be your friend, not your enemy.
