Alec thought he was the cat's arse, snickering as Amaya was obviously flustered. How did he love making people uncomfortable, it was almost refined to an art though even as he laughed, it was evident that he didn't quite get the retort Bobby had made. ".... who?"
Not wanting to bother and feeling rather unattentive, he merely shrugged it off to kick at the tide as it shrank back into the ocean.

Bobby smiled innocently at Amaya, "What look? I am not in control of how I look... you can thank the good doctor for that one." She winked; though, her thanks to the 'good doctor' would probably result in another one of those body-dropping shocks.
Oh... how she loved the clueless ones. Her experience with males allowed her to play with them. She didn't really want to 'play' with Alec, he was too sweet to do such with. But, because she chose not to toy with his mind, she also wasn't completely sure what to say. So, instead, she sent him a wink, "I'll tell ya when you're older." That was an overused phrase... that and 'Because I said so', but what else was she supposed to say? What if he didn't know....?

"Nothing! Nothing." The teen said quickly to Alec, green eyes going to the ground and her arms crossing her chest slightly.

Alec snickered more, uncaring how the comments had just flew over his head like a jetplane. It wasn't his business to understand everything, apparently.
Amusing himself like a child by trailing along the sand to stare at his own footprints and the like, he finally turned and decided to weasel some entertainment from the little group that had formed. "Wanna go fo' a swim?" Bobby was in her bathing suit, he figured it had been her intention from the start at least.

Bobby's grin widened, her fangs flashing in the sun. "A swim? I'd love to!" The woman walked out partway, the water splashing up to her ankles. She held out a hoof to Amaya, "Would you like to join us? I'd offer to help, but I cannot guarantee I won't sink like a rock...."
It was meant to be a joke, but once they were out; well, there was some truth in it.

"Ah, sure. Hold on." Amaya slipped off her top and skirt, revealing her black bathing suit underneath. She always wore it when she went out, knowing that any moment she might get too hot from the sun and would have to dip into the lake or river.
Taking the offered hoof, the iguana wadded out. The second her tail hit the water it moved back and forth slowly like an aligator, helping propel her foreward.

He watched them wade out into the surf slowy but surely, staying back on shore as if he was biding his time or waiting for the right moment. He'd never actually swam in the ocean before, despite how much time he'd spent on the island already. Even back home, he'd never even seen it.
Finally gathering his resolve, he jogged over and into the water past the girls straight into a shallow dive. The water felt cool and refreshing, especially on the rough patches of skin on his neck as well as his odd, woody joints. Coming up for air a short distance away, his now-flattened and colourful mohawk was the defining point that could be seen as his head looked as though it was bobbing in the waves.

Bobby watched Amaya. She didn't know iguanas were so nimble in the water... you live, you learn. The woman noticed Alec's hesitation while she admired Amaya's talent. Why was he.... but then he not only entered the water but passed them!
"You look like you were born out there, Alec," she called out with a grin and wave.
Turning to the reptile, the pig sighed, "I used to love swimming, but now I don't think I could...."

Amaya stuck a large, pink tongue out at the punk, but stayed next to Bobby so she didn't seem left out.
"You might still be able to... doesn't... uh..." She bit her bottom lip, wondering if what she was about to say would be insulting. But... "... fat... float?" She winced, frowning down at the waves. "Sorry."

Alec gave a wide, toothy grin from his position in the surf, letting the waves crash over the back of his head as he watched the two hang closer to shore. "Jus' like a pool, righ'?" He called back to the them, sticking his tongue at Amaya as well. She looked pretty cool, a lot like something close to a crocodile although Bobby looked more like a big brown beachball in the water.

She could have taken in bad, but Bobby could only laugh at Amaya's mix-up of words. "Yes, I'm fat, and I don't think I can float right.... pigs are not very buoyant..." she didn't really know for sure.... Her hooves weren't very helpful for stroking or threading water.
"A pool?" Bobby looked out over the horizon, "I'd say a little bigger than a pool... even an olympic pool." She snerked.

"Maybe we can look for seashells then?" The girl suggested, stopping when the water reached Bobby's shoulders. Though for her, she was treding water with her tail and feet.
"But first..." She gave an evil smirk and glanced towards Alec. Amaya started to swim at him like a crocodile, her arms planted to her sides and her tail propeled her along. "Dun dun... dun dun... dundundundundu-" She was cut off as her form vanished beneath the waves with a flicker of her tail.

Alec watched in amusement until Amaya ducked under water, his grin quickly turning to a sort of alarm. "Uh?" He looked around but even the water was crystal clear, he couldn't see her. "Ay!" He squawked and began thrashing in the water in a sort of mad-dash for the shore. Even though the ocean was like a big "pool" to him, he still wasn't the best at swimming in it.
His best efforts to move quick weren't very successful.

While Alec worried about his own skin, Bobby was scared for Amaya. She looked around, "Amaya? AMAYA! Don't drown... oh, please don't drown." The woman added the last under her breath.
Bobby looked around, waiting for some ripples in the water not from waves. Then... Alec started thrashing. The pig watched in horror, helplessness taking over her. She thought he was in trouble, not trying to get to shore. Bobby tried to get closer. Her bottom feet left the shore bottom and she was trying to just keep her head above the water while making her way to the punk-haired youth. "Hold on, Alec!"

Oblivious to the panic above, the lizard drew even closer to Alec. She didn't realize that she had her eyes open, though it was very distorted or the fact that she had been able to swim rather fast.
But when she got close enough, her large hands reached up and yanked him under the water. But to make sure he didn't drown, Amaya quickly swam up behind him and put her hands under his arms to lift him back up.
She didn't even look out of breath when she stuck out her tongue at him again. "Nyah!"
