At the forefront of the distortion the two lances began to swim about the advancing sea like two squid or some similar animal, maybe an eel. The distortion itself was closing on Edgar, now likely closing in on the orb of energy. Destructive capabilities aside, Edgar was quickly running out of room to maneuver at ground level, and with Mindblaze nearing the eastern point of the compass, long range pwn seemed to be the order of the day. The thermokinesis drew to a halt as several normal rubies quickly launched forth from the cloud under the effects of a direct kinetic propulsion effect. With the heat drained from the ground they were sufficiently charged so that upon destruction or detonation they'd blow up nice and big. Furthermore, should the orb touch upon the two massive tendrils of light and energy, well, huzzah for energy drain.

The man looked back at he ran and charged the ball. Seeing the rubies coming at him, he weaved back and forth. Nevertheless, they would be blocked by the ball. The weaving and back and forth was to get them to be blocked by the ball at specific points of the ball. The rubies would explode nonetheless, however less of the explosion would affect the balls growth while Edgar would be at a safe distance. This continued until that last ruby was dealt with. Edgar then scidded(sp?) to a halt and turned around. While looking through the distortion, he threw his now 70 feet diameter ball up into the air a lil as he entered into his hao'tien stance.
His arms became parallel to the ground, yet outstretched out in front of him and in back. His body basically, within the same 'line' that his arms are forming. His leg formation consisted of his front leg under directly under his front arm, perpendicularly while facing in the same direction of the respective arm. His back leg a little bit distance in back of Dreslin. It was directly under his back arm, however it faced at a 90 degree angle instead. A light red glow surrounded Dreslin's body for entering into the hao'tien stance.
Things in his perspective slowed down to around 1/5th their actual speed. The idea behind this stance ability of his was to skyrocketdly increase his speed. Just like this stance had a lot to take. It can only be maintained for very short time periods of time due to its intense drain on energy. And given that Dreslin fed most of his into his ball, he had to make this idea count. Cause it would take quite a bit of time for him to recover it back.
As the ball came down back to him from being snatched, he thrust his hands up in the air into the ball. Now, it would look like his hands went straight into the ball and fused with it. Despite being perfectly alright. This would seem strange normally, however the light red glow that surrounded Dreslin's body now entered into the giant ball above him. Adding to it the same abilities as that were being given to him.
Now, Dreslin noticed movement amongst the distortion granted the shadows and everything were provided a nice cover. However, Dreslin noticed that seemed to move into only one direction versus the shadows. So he started to rapidly narrow down which were shadows and which had the possibility of being his opponent.
He proceeded to jump very high into the air cause he was about to release his attack. On the way up into the air, Dreslin was still sorta through what was real and what was not. Having not reached Mindblaze's true position yet. However, he was closing in on the position and fast. So unless his opponent did something about the ball like almost immediately, the ball's release via the combination build-up could be devastating to him.

The was one small problem. Within the distortion there was constant motion as light and shadow swam through the whole. Lets not forget the fact that it appeared that Mindblaze was right the hell ******** in front of him, the light based facimilie on the forefront of the distortion part of the distortion that has been mentioned time and again. Seeing movement in the distortion could simply mean the light reflecting off himself was being reflected back and to one side or something. It was a cloud of smoke and mirrors. Mindblaze truly had no clue where exactly this man was going, but it certainly wasn't towards him, not unless the opposition had the ability to spontaneously know things he shouldn't.
Despite the fact that Edgar was likely jumping at his own image in the mirror, the mists did indeed react. Across the entire expanse the uppermost layer seemed to solidify, trapping the image of what was below as if it were a photograph. Now the man would have an even harder time of pinpointing Mindblaze. How sad, he had spooked himself and then screwed himself.

Edgar wasn't jumping at his own image, he was jumping to try to better sort through the chaos, to no avail. Which few options left. The one in which he decided was to limit the area in which his opponent could move. So, in mid air, the ball was rapidly lowered to his side and rolled ala bowling ball style alongside the side of the area. However, unlike a normal bowling ball, this ball would wind up engulfing part of the arena's floor in its wake, about 20 feet worth at the bottom most part fo the destruction. The ball would rapidly travel from one side of the arena, away from the dreslin'sv right, to the other side via the long way to his way to his left. If unhindered the ball would take about 3 seconds to traverse the entire path before dissipating 20 feet away from Dreslin.
The attack was made on 2 fronts. The first was damage wise. A normal man if survived would be knocked back around 100 feet with a seriously ******** up body, if hit dead-on at full force. The force behind the speed addition from the hao'tien stance would multiply the power by 1.5 times.
The second front was the arena floor. Depending upon where his opponent was and if he got caught up in the ball's ferocity, he may wind up behind atleast 10 feet under the arena and thus be ring'ed out.

As the ball began its path it would first find the 'photograph' layer of Crimson Mist compressed into a solid state. Furthermore, at the initial contact the Crimson Mist throughout the distortion would condense into strategically placed 'walls' that would not only eat at the ball, but slow movement. Around Mindblaze specifically several barriers were errected as the ball neared, the first a sphere of light much like a normal shield, the second a shadowfield, the third a kinetic energy barrier from the Ruby Shard, and shields four and five being of condensed Crimson Mist with a sixth only partially there, the wings cocooned about the body.
The ball rolled around the entire arena before finally connecting off to Dreslin's left, which was the East. The ball would be delayed significantly as it seemed to be more like a gear struggling against too much resistance. The light shield was torn asunder easily, the shadows obliterated, and then the ball truly began to struggle. The kinetic energy barrier chews away at the ball of energy, but it too falls after a certain force applied. The barriers of Crimson Mist stop the ball cold at first, but it presses on, chewing through them and pwning the living HELL out of the solid Crimson Mist.
As the ball rolls past and finishes its path it is a shade of its former glory, and by all means should fall apart entirely before the last few feet. Mindblaze can be seen floating at the remnants of the eastern wall, the great crimson wings torn to shreds, flayed out behind him like metal shavings as they slowly evaporate from his body. He looks like he's be through a thresher, a mixture of black and crimson dripping from his body in a slow crawl. Scales are seen to have been forcibly torn away while his horns seemed to have broken off entirely. His eyes have been burned out and have been replaced by crimson orbs of burning energy.
Despite this, he laughs.
The maniacal laughter fills the ruins of the arena as he darts at Edgar, the distortion below entirely ********, including the two massive tendrils, though those may have been dismissed. The Ruby Shard can be seen high above, having relocated by passing along the time-space matrix by similar means as the teleportation effect at the onset of the fight. Pulling from Mindblaze's back as he flies are a total of eight tendrils of light and energy, the two dreads pulling around with the blades at the end glinting in the light. From about his body a field of shadow pulled forth, two more tendrils stretching out, though these were of shadowy composition.
Tentacle hentai much? ******** yes!

Edgar lands breathing a bit heavily. He places his staff in his teeth. At the site of the tentacles, he went through the bodily motions a la Sailor Moon. Why? Cause in the name of the moon, he will try to punish him.

In the blink of an eye he was upon the man, eight tendrils of light and energy striking at him from eight directions while two blades rushed in to slice across his midsection, each sharp enough to cut him clean in half. The last component of the passive assault came as the two tendrils of shadow sunk darted out and expanded as if to form a large sphere around the two. The advance of these shadows was quickened greatly by the passive disruption of light, causing their growth to become nigh instantaneous as light simply ceased around the two combatants, the tendrils not giving off any light despite being created of it.
This aside, Mindblaze was merely performing these actions with a passive mindset, his own active thoughts were elsewhere, despite the fact that the passive mindset was fully conscious and acting as an active thought pattern. Actively his attack was twofold, his wings beginning to fragment into metallic shards whilst palms gathered energy in a unique form, almost nuclear.

With this man, the man stepped backwards as the first 8 tendrils converged his original spot. Having now poked each other. If these were likened to the same tendrils as before. They would be drained from Mindblaze unto Mindblaze, wasting energy. The blade would cut across the midsection of where he formerly was. Essentially, slicing atleast 2 of the first 8 tendrils in half. The final two's advance would be similar to the 2 blades only they would be caught up amongst the caught up amongst the mess of the first 8.
Now for Dreslin's response, he would try to run the ******** away from Mindblaze, but stay n the arena. Afterall, apparently it seemed more safe to be at a distance from this man than up close.

There was yet again one main problem, the shadows had not struck out at the man, but had darted out to entrap the two. Dreslin would find only blackness as he turned to run, and movement would seem sluggish to a point where he would strike a wall of darkness and be held motionless. The eight tendrils were not as the others had been, more inclined towards a solid, a continuous flow taking them to strike out at Dreslin again. This time, however, they would try to encricle him and entrap him, unseen within the darkness. The two blades would slice in once more, coming from each of Dreslin's sides to split him in three.
Out from Mindblaze's outstretched palms the unthinkable occured, a force of nuclear design brought forth for ultimate destruction. A combination of intense heat was focused along with an extreme dose of gamma radiation as per the electromagnetic spectrum. While it was not common for Mindblaze to manipulate such forces, it was far from beyond his control, his focus resting around such a spectrum. The dose was so intense that it would irradiate the entire sphere in mere moments, enough to kill a human being at a single exposure and liquefy flesh from the combination of heat included. The tendrils, sphere of darkness, and blades seemed immune to this assault, so too did The Heart.

Looking while it would seem useless to run, Edgar weaved a bit to dodge the 8 tendrils convergence upon his former spot again. This being due to hearing and smelling them coming. Afterall, the tendrils were directly connected to this man, right? So, logically they should carry his odor as well. He dove forward into a roll to dodge inbetween the two blades, but one thing he could not avoid was the the blast.
Feeling the temperature rapidly rising and radiation, his weapon and robe looked to be melting. He did the only thing he thought of doing, going into his annulment stance. That is, he raised his arms to cover his face as if to protect it while his legs continued to move. Unlike spme stances, this one could did not require specific placement of the legs. At this time, an orange glow surrounds his body and staff. However, while this would provide a little buying of time.
It would prove useless for Edgar's body. The stance was made to up defense against offensive abilities/weapons blasts/nonblasts of elemental and non-elemental nature as well as incoming strikes. However, it wasn't made to resist radiation. Leaving Edgar's willpower to try to withstand it, which would prove almost useless. This would be in the sense that his body did its last remaining option, to remort. That is to transform into its next stage of evolution in accordance to the alignment of the remorter.
This ability was built into the anatomy of the Nodekian race. In this case, a bright unnatural light would envelop Edgar's body, robe, staff, and the surrounding area. The darkness surrounding him would have to put up a HELL of a lot more effort to be kept dark in his viscinity. As the light slowly expands, a loud ripping can be heard in the back of Edgar's robe. If Mindblaze didn't do something quick, this man would complete his remorting and could become a problem. While visible portions of his staff and robe, look like they are actually healing, despite having been previously melting. Except for the ripping in the back of his robe.

((Seeing as you've called my guys Tacitus and "Edgar" Dreslin, I don't think it matters. You're the only one here.))
There was one problem, the tendrils were made of light and energy, and neither of those two have a smell, and last I checked he wasn't making much noise from said tendrils. Two of the tendrils would catch him around the torso, locking him in place, the blades connecting to slice through the robe and make Edgar a delightful shishkebob. If the robe was more durable than the blades could effectively slice, which was bloodly unlikely as they were not only infused with Dominion energy but also seemed to vibrate at minicule levels, they would trail along the robe and up to pass up through his skull, before he could move into his annulment stance.
Should Edgar survive and attempt to Remort, he'd find that the growing light would not grow at all, but instead turn around and alter its state to match the intense radiation that filled the sphere. Edgar would be a pile of human slag from the radiation before the remort could complete, seeing as it destroyed DNA and it wasn't going away, only growing in intensity as it, oh, I don't know, tried to melt a hole through his chest? Hmm...regeneration wouldn't help, as the radiation would pwn the regenerated cells...if any cells were left in an unslagged state as the radiation simply pwned the ******** out of all the DNA in his body. GOD was Edgar pwnt.
(Even if the above paragraph is useless) Lets not forget the Solid Crimson Mist floating about, which would ******** energy based barriers and consume excess energy. Oh? That glow, it'd eat that s**t like candy to a baby. Oh? The Ruby Shard? Ah, yeah, about that, it was using Aerokinesis to steal air from all around the two combatants. What? Vacuum? Damn close to it.
The end result? Don't get Mindblaze to stop playing around.
