I find it funny that either

a.) They didnt KNOW the measurements and age everything would be developed

b.) They changed the facts for shock value.

:/
What? Don't you know the moment sperm hits egg that egg grows to 8 inches long? xd

I just posted that on my Facebook and MySpace, giving credit where credit is due of course. Most of my friends are pro-choice, but some are pro-life, or vulnerable enough to fall for the stupid "Dear Mommy" propagada, so I thought this would clear some stuff up.

I'm reposting this in a forum where someone asked about the accuracy of the Dear Mommy letter. I hope you don't mind.

Same here. I hate the dear mommy letter. Note that the zygote only gets a "heart" partway through the first month, too!

Is it okay with you guys if I repost the arguments in a myspace bulletin?

Ac ectopic pregnancy is when the baby grows ON the ovaries.
My mom had an ectopic pregnancy, almost died. D:

I thought it was in the fallopian tube? Maybe I was misinformed.
My mom had one, too, but I don't think it was nearly deadly; she just had to get it tied or something. They told her she wasn't likely to have more children. Very soon after, she had my little sister. D:

Really its basically any pregnancy thats outside of the womb. There have been some that attach somehow to the outside of the womb.

I have something I might add.

A mother would be on painkillers during an abortion, correct? If she is, than the fetus is taking that same painkiller from her bloodstream, and would feel nothing.

that's correct. the fetus absorbs whatever the mother absorbs, including anesthesia. therefore, the fetus is NEVER conscious during the procedure, and doesn't feel pain.

Deformography
Once, someone who was on my Myspace friends list posted the Dear Mommy letter. I was pissed. I wanted to say something, but I know it just wouldn't have done anything productive and I would've been wasting my time. Now, most-all of my Myspace friends are pro-choice... If I were to post a response to Dear Mommy in a bulletin, that girl would have to be on my friends list, which she's not (I don't know her very well, and she fouled up my bulletin board with anti-choice garbage). It wouldn't make much sense... I kinda want to message her with it, but (again) I'd be wasting my time.

I would guess that most of my friends are pro-life, but I don't like bringing up politics with friends unless we're making fun of politicians. I know a lot of the friends I'm with now are pro-life, and I would guess many of my other friends are since I went to Catholic School with them, and the second principal we had was always talking about how evil abortion was (when we said the Pledge of Allegiance every morning, she added "the born and unborn" after it. She also tried selling us these ugly fetus rosaries). As far as I know, most of my friends aren't into politics anyway, so the only view a lot of them know is that abortion is the termination of a future child, and haven't heard the pro-choice arguements (I used to be like that, but once I heard the "bodily domain" arguement I became pro-choice). I've never seen the "Dear Mommy" letter on Myspace, but if I do I'll make sure to reply with the OP.

It would be great to have links to the sources used
I would feel hypocritical if i posted this with no sources listed

i found http://www.babycenter.com/pregnancy-fetal-development-index for some week by week fetal development
It seems to be accurate and only a little biased (mainly because its for woman who want to be pregnant and view it as their future baby)
