No, when I'm done watching subs, it doesn't really bother me hearing Japanese while watching it. I'm used to hearing so many different languages at my school -___-;

I think this happens to me because I'm bilingual, so I'm always confusing words. Someone will say something, and I think they just said something in french, or in Spanish. When someone in spanish is talking to me, I think they said something In japanese.

Or my tounge gets twisted, and I'll say the weirest things. Recently, I embarrassed my self by calling out to my friend, Jen, but instead of saying Jen, I said Yen.

Who else has trouble with pronounciation if they are bilingual?

I have a tendency to speak German with a Japanese accent. XD;;; Even if I consciously try not to.

I am bilingual (french italian) and i've been studying german.. i don't really know japanese but since i am currently living in japan, i sort of mix the 4 languages! not to mention english!

when i was in germany for homestay, i could never recall the word "thank you" in german, i always thought about japanese words and had to stop for a few seconds before remembering "danke schon"...

I think I hear people speak in japanese who I know for a fact that they can't. And even my japnese is very limited cause I am just starting to learn, I often can remember how words are said in japanese from watching anime and then thinking them in my head. Odd, no?

I say "Itadakimasu" all the time if I'm visiting my American friends.
I've got to learn to stop that now that I've moved to Korea. sweatdrop

I totally know what you mean. Well at least I'm always thinking of comments in Japanese but it would be weird to bump into your teacher and be all GOMENASAI! which by the way gets you some weird looks even when just talking to your friends. What a girl can't get in touch with her inner Japanese self? non japanese lovers just don't understand do they!

Sometimes if I'm not close enough to others to hear the English, what other people are saying sounds Japanese if I just watched an anime in Japanese. But even without having watched anime, I mutter to myself in Japanese a lot. I just try to think in Japanese to help me learn better, it is something about learning languages I learned from my Spanish teacher in junior high ("Don't think in English, think in Spanish!").

It didn't help that I was taking Spanish at the same time as Japanese because I ended up mixing the two languages a lot in class. Sometimes we would be counting and I start thinking in Japanese, but the languages do sound so similar, maybe that is why I had little trouble learning Spanish…
