(1) Aderyn (2) Mommy (3) PG-13 (4) 'Course. (5) Mommy and Daddy had a fight today.
Mommy wanted Daddy to come to the store with me and Mommy and Sister, but Daddy said no. Mommy took Sister out to the big silver van and was going to leave when Daddy pressed a glowing button and the white ceiling panels came creaking down. I was crying, because Mommy was going to leave me behind. Mommy came and hugged me tight, then strapped me into the big silver van, saying, "He's not your daddy anymore, understand? Don't call him Daddy ever again." I nodded, and Mommy wiped away my tears.
Sister was there too, just sitting and looking at the blank gray wall. At the store with the huge red and white sign, Mommy took me with her and told Sister to stay. Mommy put two jugs of yummy white milk in the cart, then reached up to grab a strange blue box. On the front was a picture of a great wooden horse, and underneath were two black shadows, touching. The shadows looked kind of like Mommy and Daddy. Mommy hid the box from Sister, behind the milk jugs. Back at home, as Sister lugged in the milk and dropped it on the floor, Mommy took the box upstairs, without saying anything to Daddy.
But after a while, Mommy and Daddy made up.

(1) Aderyn (2) Sacrilege (3) PG-13 (4) 'Course. (5) Can a secular event nevertheless be sacrilege? Once I saw a bumper sticker, shaped like one of those infamous pink breast cancer ribbons. This one was different. Instead of pink, the ribbon was white. Instead of plain simplicity, were evenly spaced red maple leafs. And along one end, was a word in bold caps: CANADA. Red and white are Canadian colors, just like the American flag minus blue. I should know; I stand tall as a proud citizen of Canada.
