Receiving Isis and Nephthys
It was just a regular day. Luna tended after her garden and quickly went inside her home to wash her hands. Walking towards the sink, a sudden thud resounded outside her front door.
Raising in eyebrow in confusion, she glanced back to her door. No other sound came from outside. Turning around, she started to wash her hands.
As soon as the water poured into the sink, cries erupted from outside her door.
"What the?" She said in surprise.
Quickly drying her hands, she made her way to her front door and slowly opened it. Nothing.
But looking down, she realized that she was not alone.
In one large basket, two baby girls started to cry.
"Oh! Shh. It's okay. You don't have to cry." Bending down, she picked up the basket and tried to quiet her package.
The little baby with golden skin, finally opened her eyes and stopped crying.
As soon as she stopped, the one with dark skin also opened her eyes and stopped crying.
Luna let out a sigh of relief.
The bright little girl started to giggle, but her sister just stood quiet and looked around.
Luna didn't understand what was going on. She never had children and really didn't want any. Was this a sick joke? Obviously not.
Looking around, she quickly realized that she would have to change some things around the house. And she would need an extra hand.
Calling on her own shadow, Shadow Luna appeared within a moments notice.
The dark one smiled at Shadow Luna instead of the real one.
Luna looked down and realized a card went with the children.
She read it:
Dearest Luna,
Seeing as you're nearly always alone, I thought it was time I brought out the maternal side of you.
I know you can't have your own children, so I was blessed with two twins to keep you company. Treat them like your own daughters.
They're both twins, even if they don't look like it. *Chuckles*
The golden one is called Isis and the darker one is Nephthys. I know you'll make a great mother.
Love always,
Silent.
Great. Looking down at the two bundles before her she looked to Shadow Luna. "We're going to need to change some things around here."
Shadow Luna nodded and both the elder and her shadow started to make way for the new arrivals.
