What's even worse, tho, is that CHRISTIAN ideology-based groups *are* taking long-standing grant money from actual public help groups, so his premise is whack to begin with.
We had a shelter for homeless and abused teens here in Michigan nearly get shut down because the state grant money they'd been getting for more than 20 years was being funneled into abstinence programs and anti-abortion "pregancy counseling centers" on the other side of the state.
It's still something pagans, and every caring, rational American, needs to continually watch. Bush sucks rocks, but the state legislatures are carrying out his bidding practically unwatched, and that's even worse. Those bozos are going to be around a lot longer than him.

My mother thinks that people are lined up to assasinate him after he gets out of office to avoid making him into a martyr. With all the s**t that his administration pulls (or perhaps, his daddy's administration), it wouldn't surprise me.

He does make his religion look like a big collective a**.
The comment about a liberal getting in- please. God will have smitten his own followers before the Republicans and Democrats ever let that happen.
The Bush administration doesn't understand/want to understand Pagans because we don't speak their language. That language is money and religion, hand-in-hand. He doesn't take us seriously because we don't pass around a donation plate to take money from our fellow Pagans. It isn't about the cash for us, so he and his administration can't comprehend what we are about.
I miss Bill. xD Throw him Monica wrapped in a sheer pink-ribbon on the White House steps for all I care, I'd do it if it would get him back in office. xD

Oh, and the comment about overthrowing the government- I'm there. Let's do it. xD
We need an open-minded person to run the country. Meaning not a money/religion-driven, testosterone-pumpin man. xD

Seriously, I think we either need a guy that is open minded or a woman (she would have to be open minded to) we need to end this century upon century of men leading our country, not all of them were bad but you know what I mean.

Everyone is like "We don't need a woman to be president. The second she gets PMS there will be another war."

The_Fantasy_Mule The comment about a liberal getting in- please. God will have smitten his own followers before the Republicans and Democrats ever let that happen. I meant Liberal as in not conservative, not as in Libertarian. However, I do normally vote Libertarian... My point is, that those claiming the title "conservative" next to their party name aren't big on peace and understanding towards things they perhaps didn't grow up with, or claim that their religion is against, and have many fronts for their bigotry and biases. Those claiming "liberal" however, seem to be perfectly able to communicate with people who are outside their belief structure, and don't have the amount of biases and hidden and harmful agendas. This is based soley on my reading the mayoral and presidential ballot pamphlets. There are nuts on both sides. The_Fantasy_Mule The Bush administration doesn't understand/want to understand Pagans because we don't speak their language. That language is money and religion, hand-in-hand. He doesn't take us seriously because we don't pass around a donation plate to take money from our fellow Pagans. It isn't about the cash for us, so he and his administration can't comprehend what we are about. No, the Bush administration doesn't accept/consider Pagans, homosexuals, liberals, or the poor as valid citizens because it suits their agenda. They wouldn't give a damn if Pagan sects had churches that passed around collection plates of sorts (from what I understand, they exist), or create charities because it doesn't fit the propoganda that Pagans are evil and hate Christianity and America, which suits their agenda and appeals to and appeases fanatical "Christian" groups who vote and financially support them. A sick perversion of politics? Yes. But it's not like things like this have never happened before. The point is, someone needs to be voted in who won't feed the monster so much. Perhaps in time it will die of starvation, if we're lucky. (Oh, the dreamer in me gonk )

What frustrates me is how many people are like "I hate Bush, blah blah blah" but they voted for him, some both terms. Uh, duh, you wanted him in office ya idgit. xD
Ahh, if only communism weren't so easily corruptable. The basic idea of communism is great. Democracy is just a popularity contest, "Let's see who makes more empty promises driven by 200-year-old beleifs and vote him in. *hangs a sign that reads 'No open-minds, women, gays, blacks, asians, hispanics, or any other non-caucasian race allowed.'*"
The country acts like the world would be over if they just tried out someone different, someone who thinks differently and would run the country differently. It's only four years, then they're gone. Don't vote for that person again if you don't want them. Plus, the president isn't the only one who runs the country. Checks and balances, people. >.<
*shrugs* Then again, I'm only sixteen. Haven't lived on my own yet, yanno?

xD Yeah. Bush came into office with PMS and six very long years later, HE'S STILL GOT IT! burning_eyes At least for a woman, it would go away every month. And frankly, but the time a woman is old enough to have the power base to get elected president, she'd be post-menopausal. So what's HIS excuse again? confused

That a link to an article at worldnetdaily.com. The Bush administration has said that Pagans don't care about the poor.
I know of about 50-60 Pagans who have gotten together, myself included, to do food drives and clean up the James River, etc etc. Pagan Pride Day is just an example of a time when we have done charity work in a group as Pagans. We almost always have a canned goods collection box at the public rituals that gets taken to the Food Bank. I'm pretty PO'ed about this. Bah. >.<
Figured it would be something that you all might like to read. Love you all! =D
Sorry I haven't been around. Life's hectic. emo Bush is also the same idiot that said, "I don't really think Withcraft is a religion".... Thankfully, I don't live in the States, under his rule. A third grader could do a better job of running that country than him....

Do you guys realize that you're not being any better than he is when your sitting here bashing him?
Besides that, if it really bothers you, then sitting here typing about it won't do a thing to help. Want to really do something about it? Then contact someone in the White House or something.

What does religion or sexual orientation have to do with defending our country? NOTHING!
