Gah, that's a hard question.
Hmmm...
Sora to me seems like a puppy, a cat doesn't really suit him...I just can't see him eating Riku alive while they do the naughty. Also, puppies are cute (which Sora is) and they do anything to make you smile, like..one time, I was really sad..and crying..and my dog jumped on me and licked my face...it was cute. >>; Sora smiles for people, even if he's down...like in the first game..and in Twilight Town. (Spoiler?) And..he's loyal.

Uh..Riku reminds me of a Cockatiel, only some traits though. Those things...are the cockiest birds alive, you let their wings grow, and the sqwak, and fly around the living room for hours on end. Also, if you try to catch them, they fly away..just before you get there...almost as if to say, "Haha, I can fly, and you can't! Sucka."
Kairi reminds me of a Mushroom.
...Not an animal, I know...XD but...it's the first thing that came to mind. Actually, she reminds me more of a fox, childish..least I think.
