Hey! Everyone, this is not a thread to become vicious snarling fans.
Both series has GREAT characters. But Lucas ruined the series with Episode 2. burning_eyes I haven't seen episode 3 yet, but I've heard it has some major flaws too. I've seen a few commercials and noticed that the major flaw was Hayden Christenson. *twitch* He looks pretty good in Tristan and Isolde. But...but...Hayden...*twitch* Doesn't make a good Anakin.

My favorite episode of Star Trek Classic...I have a couple. I just don't know their names, cept two. Cause I have em on DVD. Mirror Mirror, The ly Years. Particularly the second one. I also am a big fan of the episode where everyone goes nutters. And one of the crew members starts singing in a celtic accent over the intercom.

I agree with you, Asha, on both counts: I have no desire to turn this into a "vicious, snarling" thread. I do think, though, that we ought to at least be able to try and discuss things in a bit of depth here, of all places. And that's all I'm saying about that. I also agree that Lucas ruined the series with Episode 2, although Episode 1 was so different than the ones that went before that it was a big disconnect for me and pretty disappointing. Anyway, on a happier note, probably my favorite Star Trek episode was "The Trouble with Tribbles."

I'm all for Star Wars. I never really was a big fan of Star Trek. Every time I see Star Wars, however, I sense something. A presence I haven't felt since...

I'd say lucas ruined Star Wars with episode 1. By changing the originals after episode 3 he really screwed up though. Episode 3 was pretty bad, especially Christianson's Anakin, but it was still better than the first two prequals. The dialogue, especially between Anakin and Padme was horrible. It was the most cheesy stuff I'd ever seen! cheese_whine

At least the Star Trek movies were awesome. The Undiscovered Country and The Final Frontier in particular.. although The Wrath of Khan pwns.

I should watch the star trek movies. I was never really into the series. I saw a few episodes freshman year because my friend was obsessed with the show. He transferred down to Maryland though, and I haven't watched it since.
