Ding! I have an answer.
You see at the end of the game if you have
Yuffie and Vincent The groups of three will be missing one person.
There was going to be Five disks I read it in a magazine.
But you don't Keep Sephiroth in your party it's only for
one breif part of the extended game. As for the blank spot
at the end of the game it was meant for another bonus character
He never even got a name unless you count Boxer. He used his fists
to fight but he could not get new weapons only his fists.
The creators did not get to finish the game as a lot of people know.
here is a short list of things they did not finish...
Graphics
Alternate Ending Sequences ( for vincent yuffie boxer )
Jenova's Song ( was supposed to have words )
Cameo Segments with characters from Xenogears.
Poster with Squall from FF8 Advertising S.E.E.D.
And Aeris was to show up as a ghost in various
areas in the game.
Thats all. 3nodding

You know why theres a blank spot in the final fight? Its because there WERE 9 characters. But sadly, Aeris went and died. So that left a hole in the group that wasnt filled.

of course it isn't enough it would take more than 10 disks to explain every single bit of the ffvii world, talk about the lifes of everyone before all of this happened ,also talk about what happens after that ,how are the sons of sephyroth born , a secret ending maybe in which aeris (aerith) doesn't die and maybe sephiroth dies earlier or he just goes away and maybe cloud has children with aeris (aerith). maybe barret marries yuffie , i dunno! ,the case is , ffvii story can't be told in just 3 disks ,any ways a remake is being made right now for the ps3

i seriously doubt that there were five disks. and as for sephiroth in your party? that would kick a** but unfortunately its unbelievable.

I did hear once of there being left out things in the game, due to time consumption and what not. I don't know whether it's true or not.
(in the city of the ancients theres a spot where you can climb up a vine that leads nowhere)
But I do know that the ghosts of Aeris was, in fact, an easter egg planted in the original Japanese version of FF7. As for the Xenogears theory, I heard that some characters resemble those of the Xenogears characters (I couldn't find any...) But it wouldn't be surprising if there were, for in Xenogears, lucca from Chrono Trigger was in it!
And about the FF8 posters, I've heard this before, but found it highly doubtful, due to the time, and release dates of each game!

Five discs? xDD If Sephy joined ya, he'd probably seduce Cloud and uh.. Aeris coming back would just be crap. xD

look all this is spawned by poeple who spentcountless hours training aerith only to watch her die... stressed live whith it and train ne of the other caracters instead as for sepheroth well you get him briefly in the flash back do enjoy that and finaly FIVE discs if your a pro and can beat final fantasy in one month go ahead and say yes but to guys like me were it took me one year to beat it well would you have started playing it in the first place if it had been five discs long??

Angelvi Okay, I heard from a friend that FFVII was originally supposed to be a 5 disks long game. Also it was originally planned to be on Nintendo 64, but Nintendo was like "No, we do cartridges, not disks. Screw your game." So FFVII was almost down the drain but Playstation was like "Hey we can do FFVII, but we can only do 3 disks." And FFVII was like "Well, it's better than nothing." And as a result, they had to cut the story 2 disks short!!!!!! From what I heard, in the complete story, Aeris comes back to life, and Sephiroth joins your party. So apparently, just when you thought FFVII couldn't be any longer, you find that there's still more to it!!!! Is this true??? What are your views on this? What else is there, that I haven't said?? final fantasy is like the Hydra. cut off one of it's heads, 4 new editions appear

Actually, the game was supposed to be on Ninetendo and Sony's project, called the Playstation, an add-on to the N64. But Ninetendo screwed Sony over, so Sony just continued the PlayStation by themselves. >_>
Anyways, Aerith can only be revived using GameShark. And I think it only works in the Japanese version of the game, but I don't know.
And Sephiroth DOES join your party in the game- Remember in the begining, the Kalm flashbacks? You simply can't controll him. -^-^-
EDIT- Oh, and if it was for the Famicom, it would be over 200 dollars. Easily.
