Song for Anita...

Drowning Pool - Bodies Lyrics

Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor

Beaten why for
Can't take much more

Here we go...Here we go...Here we go

One - Nothing wrong with me
Two - Nothing wrong with me
Three - Nothing wrong with me
Four - Nothing wrong with me

One - Something's got to give
Two - Something's got to give
Three - Something's got to give
Now

Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor

Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor

Push me again
This is the end

Here we go...Here we go...Here we go

One - Nothing wrong with me
Two - Nothing wrong with me
Three - Nothing wrong with me
Four - Nothing wrong with me

One - Something's got to give
Two - Something's got to give
Three - Something's got to give
Now

Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor

Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor

Skin against skin blood and bone
You're all by yourself but you're not alone
You wanted in now you're here
Driven by hate consumed by fear

Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor

One - Nothing wrong with me
Two - Nothing wrong with me
Three - Nothing wrong with me
Four - Nothing wrong with me

One - Something's got to give
Two - Something's got to give
Three - Something's got to give
Now

Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor

Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor

The floor...The floor...The floor...The floor

A Song For Richard...

Crawling By Linkin Park

Crawling in my skin
These wounds they will not heal
Fear is how I fall
Confusing what is real

There's something inside me that pulls beneath the surface
Consuming
Confusing
This lack of self-control I fear is never ending
Controlling
I can't seem
To find myself again
My walls are closing in

Without a sense of confidence,and I'm convinced
That there's just too much pressure to take
I've felt this way before
So insecure

Crawling in my skin
These wounds they will not heal
Fear is how I fall
Confusing what is real

Discomfort, endlessly has pulled itself upon me
Distracting
Reacting
Against my will I stand beside my own reflection
It's haunting how I can't seem
To find myself again
My walls are closing in

Without a sense of confidence,and I'm conviced
That there's just too much pressure to take
I've felt this way before
So insecure

Crawling in my skin
These wounds they will not heal
Fear is how I fall
Confusing what is real

Crawling in my skin
These wounds they will not heal
Fear is how I fall
Confusing, confusing what is real

There's something inside me that pulls beneath the surface
Consuming
Confusing what is real
Its lack of self control I fear is never ending
Controlling
Confusing what is real

For Anita- More for the earlier books though

Evanescence
"Haunted"

Long lost words whisper slowly to me
Still can't find what keeps me here
When all this time I've been so hollow inside
I know you're still there

Watching me, wanting me
I can feel you pull me down
Fearing you loving you
I won't let you pull me down

Hunting you I can smell you - alive
Your heart pounding in my head

Watching me, wanting me
I won't let you pull me down
Saving me, raping me, watching me

Watching me, wanting me
I can let you pull me down
Fearing you... loving you
I won't let you pull me down

Yeah, definitely the earlier books.
Though to some extent, it applies to the arduer as well...

Wow! That really is perfect for Richard.

I think it fits him to a T. It's also one of the songs that I can relate to so I love it twice as much xd

ElegantViolet: I agree that Haunted fits Anita, especially before she & JC got together the first time.

I think this describes Nathaniel's past quite well, from what the books have told us of it.

S&M (A Love Song) by Kidney Thieves

Distant son, nova f***er
Hit and run to another
Took from you, from me
Lash and caress in between
Hit the target won an animal
Got a piece, a trace, a slip inside
Tore a page from the bind

Handed a twisted sadistic
Wanted you to fix it
Chant, cry, moan, lie
Tender garden bang to dry

Pound the love outta me, beat the love outta me

Best I can do, pleasure/pain
Too close to you, I'll blow your ash away
Took from you, from me
Brutally

Pound the love outta me, beat the love outta me
[catch me if you can, butter a scent on your hand]

wigs, whips, chains tied
you laughed, I cried

all I wanted is all you wanted.

S&M (A Love Song) does sound like Nathaniel. I'll have to hear that one. It's been ages since I've listened to Kidney Theives. And yes, Crawling is SO Richard that it's scary.

Thinking of Richard, "Redeemer" by Marilyn Manson also fits. It was originally written for vampires but I think it describes his reluctance to accept his beast as well as the problems it causes in his relationship with Anita.

The hunger inside given to me, makes me what I am
Always it is calling me, for the blood of man...
They say I cannot be this, I am jaded, hiding from the day.
I can't bare, I cannot tame the hunger in me...

Oh, I say I did and always searching, you can't f**k with me.
So instead you'll taste my pain.
The hunger inside given to me, makes me feel alive.
Always out stalking prey, in the dark I hide.
Feeling, falling, hating, feel like I am fading, hating life!

They say I cannot be this, I am jaded, hiding from the day.
I can't bare, I cannot tame the hunger in me...
Oh, I say I did and always searching, you can't f**k with fate.
So instead you'll taste my pain.

You say your life I'm taking, always bothering me, I can't take this anymore,
I'm failing, always smothering me

You look down on me, hey what you see, take this gift from me, you will soon be me!
Nothing seems exciting, always the same hiding... hiding...

It's haunting me. It's haunting me. It's haunting me. It's haunting me.

It's haunting me...

hmmm let me go on a song hunt with all the chars names and I'll get back to you on that, though I think the Shadows of the Night song suites Anita, Jean-Claude and Asher....

I have another bit of lyrics that reading/listening to makes me think of Jean Claude and Asher's earlier days.

Pour the emerald wine
Into crystal glasses
We will touch the divine
Through kisses catharsis

Let us pitch to the seven-year itch
Of the ultra-decadent
To a tainted world and the painted girls
That our fantasies spent

Tripping through boudoirs laced with opiate themes
Sipping the bizarre, tasting copious dreams
A toast to those most sacrilegious of days
Where for every whim won
One soon repays

We touched the stars
That now laugh from afar
At we, the damned
The damned
The damned
The damned

The first verse and chorus of "Absinthe With Faust" by Cradle of Filth. I think it's fitting for the two most beautiful creatures of Belle's line.

"The Hollow" by A Perfect Circle is perfect for a LOT of the sexual situations Anita manages to get herself into. I was listening to it in the car and thought it was just awesome.

The Hollow

Run desire run
Sexual being
Run him like a blade
To and through the heart
No conscience
One Motive
Cater to the hollow

Screaming feed me here
Fill me up again
Temporarily pacify this hungering
So grow
Libido throw
Dominoes of indiscretions down
Falling all around
In cycles
In circles
Constantly consuming
Conquer and devour

Cause it's time to bring the fire down
Bridle all this indiscretion
Long enough to edify
And permanently fill this hollow

Screaming feed me here
Fill me up again
Temporarily pacifying

Feed me here
Fill me up again
Temporarily pacifying

"The Hollow" would be a perfect theme for the arduer personally. If they ever made a movie that would definately have to be on the soundtrack. It makes me want to dust off Mer de Noms. I am sure a lot of quite a few songs from it could fit the series. Like the ever eager Jason and "Thinking of You". Or maybe now that he's showing a little depth "3 Libras".
