Requ blinked up at him, eyes burning with anger but ears flattened back submissively. As much as it irked him to be treated like a worthless pup, he knew that with time Saix would prove a worthy ally, and that alone was enough to have him on his best behaviour.

Saix summoned his claymore and slammed it on the ground next to the pup.

Requ immediately cowered as the claymore slammed down next to him, tail tucking between his legs.

Saix leaned on his weapon.
"Yes, but pup, sometimes we need to do things we don't want to do, to get at our ultimate goal."
He stared at the pup. "How do you think I got this scar? By running away like you are?! No! I fight for what I want, and I get what I want because I have gained power! Understand that and you will get everything you ever wanted!"

Getting whatever he wanted sounded like a good idea.... Suffering the hell known as his family might even be worth it.

The pup sat straight up, trying to shake off the fear he had displayed mere moments before.

Well he liked his name, despite it's origins, but Berserk wasn't a bad name either.

Requ allowed his tail to give a small wag, the pup grinning up at the older audio.

Saix rolled his eyes. Children were just that, children. This one was no different. Give him a treat, he will love you forever.

Ah so that was it...just needs a break huh? Saix could understand that atleast.

Saix quickly moved into a nearby room dissapearing behind a door.
