I a few rallys, a few protests, a candle light vigil once...actually that's why I'm grounded at the moment: I snuck out of the house to go to this oh-so-cool Bush protest (he came town - speaking at a local college). I learned the next day from some kid whose dad actually went to hear Bush talk that we protesters were so loud even those right up next to the stage couldn't hear W over our clamor. Sweet blaugh

Kocachino: LOL!! I feel kinda sorry for those people that really wanted to hear him speak, but sheesh, that guy just needs to.. to.. go away..
I walked with an anti-war protest for a bit a few years ago, I guess it must've been the Iraq thing. I've seen people walk against violence towards women too, but I was on my way to the library and was running other errands at the time. I keep an eye out for posters.. I like marches and things.. My sis took part in one against lowering student help money thing. It's already way too low. (Finland, socialist place, but man, the gap between the rich and the poor is widening.)

Sweet blaugh Was that recently? I know W is coming to Canada on Tues, to the capital, and there are going to be protests all over the country. I intend to go to the one in my city.

Yeah, a couple weeks ago. You're letting him in to Canada? I'd call up all of your friends and form a giant human chain on the border...but you probably don't know everyone in Canada...and he's probably flying in, isn't he?...Yeah, okay, nevermind, but it'd still be cool sweatdrop

I went to a flash mob thing a few days ago!! Man that was cool to watch how people suddenly got all confused because these people (mostly university students) at different points of the road just suddenly shouted "Some limit!" 10 times. wink It was an Amnesty thing, against violence towards women.

Anyone else? i've been at many since i was born. . . my mother used to take me to pro-choice rallies with her when i was a todler. i guess she thought it was funny. i've been to a few marches on the war in iraq, we had a die in downtown, and open mike, and some jammin. couldn't make it to the summit of the americas, but i involved myself by editing video a friend had taken. this video is used as an educational tool about free trade.

I miss Vermont so bad sometimes. I'm hoping to spend a week or so back up at home this summer/fall before or just after the move to NYC and just BEFORE I start (i hope) a job there...
