Yeah, it's always bad on Cd. You need LIVE music on LIVE theater.

I got the pleasure to work on my school's musical this year and we used a live orchestra, it worked really well and we had a a decent group of musicians, my school seems to get lucky with our band, chior and drama department getting along. I saw the same musical at a nearby school and it was ok, but the diffence between the 5 and 25 musicians certainly made a diffence. As did the sound of our actors when we murged with the orchestra as opposed to practicing with the tapes/pianist. I very much perfer the live music with the live theatre.
