Timelady42 i tihnk they should have a really soppy scene - like rose has just saved the world and people are like 'you saved us rose, our hero'. and then rose gets squashed by a gigantic foot, and it cuts to the end credits with the liberty bell march playing. what a way to go... That's the way I plan to go...

My moneys on the cybermen being involved. Having them come back for one episode seems a bit of a waste really. Bring on the metal marchers!

But that would mean returning to the parallel universe and The Doctor said they would never be doing that. EVER.

Twisted Davros But that would mean returning to the parallel universe and The Doctor said they would never be doing that. EVER. Maybe they (the Cybermen) found a way to come into the regular universe? Of course they'd first have to stop being all emo about having their brains stuck in metal bodies...

Nikki Sixx Isn't that kind of a spoiler? More like idle speculation. Billie Piper leaving the show was widely announced in the British media. Since it's already public knowledge, it's kind of difficult to keep treating it like a spoiler (any more than Eccleston's leaving last year, which broke out just shortly after "Rose" had aired). As for the rest, Cup_of_Tea was just guessing about the Cybermen being involved in Rose's departure, Twisted Davros said that it would require the Doctor returning to the parallel universe, and I countered that maybe the Cybermen found some way to go to Rose's universe. I have no idea if it's true or not... nor do I have any idea how it would happen. Maybe Satan travelled to the alternate universe after falling through the black hole, found the Cybermen, and chucked them back out the other side of the black hole to chase after the Doctor and Rose. Rose then ends up getting killed at the hands of her cybernized alternate universe mother. Yes, yes, it all fits together! That must be how the season finale ends...

That's a great theory Hairy! Seeing as last series the Daleks returned after apearing in episode 6, and appearing to be finished, there's hardly any reason why the Cybermen couldn't do the same!

the thing that gets me, and the reaosn for this post, is that when satan talks to everyone in the satan pit episdoe, he says to rose the young girl who's far from home who will die in battle....
and seeing how he was made before time, doens't stop him form having the power to see the future

I'm just glad all the Rose-centric plots will be gone, because they got old, fast. If she dies it's going to be this amazing self-sacrifice for the greater good of man, showing once and for all that she isn't just a damsel in distress, in my opinion. *sigh* She bugs me just a bit to much if that isn't already obvious.
Maybe an alien life-form has been growing in her excessive amounts of mascara and then takes over her entire body and eats it, that would be nice.

Frankly she grates on my nerves as well. Maybe its not even going to be as elaborate as all this. They'll land on some planet, get captured, the Doctor will be all witty and "I pretend like we're trapped but I have a plan" and then WOOH! Random monster comes flying up through the floor a la sandworm and eats rose within the first five minutes of the episode.
