(( twisted )) Soon, they were making love under the covers, a pile of clothes messily strew across the floor. Passion burned wild between them as he had her in his arms, feeling the warmth of her as she moved up and down in harmony with him. Wild kisses were exchanged as Kenshin ran his hands through her hair. As they came to a slower pace, Kenshin nuzzled Arwen affectionately.

Kenshin kissed her softly, nuzzling her shoulder and chest. "Don't ever leave me again..." he said, his face showing little emotion again, thought he gazed deep into her eyes.

Golden streaks of light streamed across the dim room through the window. Sitting up in bed Arwen rubbed her eyes groggily, and stretched. It had been almost a month since she had returned, and things were finally getting back to normal. She leaned over the night stand and picked up her calendar. “Hmm...what's today..”, she flipped through the book finally stopping. Mumbling something to herself her eyes widened and she stared intently at the page. “Oh my… Where's Kenshin.” Fully engrossed in the calendar, she leaned foward and tumbled out off the bed. She groaned, and sat on the floor a minute rubbing her temple. Getting up a few seconds later she quickly threw on some clothes and dashed out the door.

The grey skies grew dark, but only for a second as Kenshin descended from the heavens, down onto the veranda of their room. Kenshin had been deviously working on new projects, opening up estates across the country, and bringing in more revenue to fuel the steadily declining Haven. Fewer people were coming into its old, rusting walls, and someone had to up the economy around the place. Kenshin was dog tired, exhuasted from not sleeping when he should have. As his heels touched the ground he took a few steps and was already drawing the long curtains. he removed his jacket and tossed it aside, loosening his collar. "Damn it all...", he said, thinking about going to the hot springs.

Dante three months old now lay on the bed squirming and kicking his legs trying so hard to crawl, but only pushing himself backwards. "Where do you think you're going?" Arwen teased as she scooped him from the bed. "A little further and you would have had a nasty fall." Dante gurgled and cooed finding delight at his mother's frantic actions. "How about we go outside for some fresh air." The cool breeze on the balcony was thick with the sweet aroma of the vast garden below. Taking a seat on a bench Arwen held Dante in her lap his head leaning against her stomach. Her mind wandered as she stared above at the clouds slowly passing by. "Where has he gone....Is he ever coming back?" She shook her head trying to put aside her fears of being left alone. The clouds that had been looming over head had darkened covering the sun completely, and had brought in a chill to the small breeze that had now begun to pick up. Arwen picked Dante up, who had now started to cry, and held him close, "Well that's strange... it was perfectly clear before." Shielding him from the rain that had begun to fall, and the now torrent like wind she stepped inside closing the doors behind her. Kenti, who had been quietly sleeping on the floor, growled in alert making Arwen turn quickly, just in time to see someone walk into the room.

Arwen's eyes widened as she held her son closer, the rest of her body still as stone. "Who's there.....Val is that you?" She set Date in his crib next to Kenti, not wanting him to be in harms way. She took a step closer, getting a better look. A gasp escaped her as she focused on the figure in the center of the room. "Kenshin?"

Kenshin's quick embrace forced the air from her lungs in an exhaling moan. She stood for a few seconds hands at her side, dumb struck at the abruptness. "Kenshin" Is this just a dream? But his soft lips, handsome noble face, and loving embrace told her otherwise. Part of her was still bitter for being left behind without so much as a word for so long. But his warm touch, which she had so longed for and missed, and familiar scent, pushed that part of her away. Unable to hold back, she wrapped her arms around him lovingly, not wishing to ever let go. Arwen began to sob as she spoke, her words tumbling out, "I was afraid I would never see you again. I was afraid you were never coming back. That maybe something had happened to you....Or that there was s......" Arwen looked up at him like a wounded animal on its last breath, as she remembered what had happened in the past. Someone else. She couldn’t finish, it hurt too much to even say. She forced a smile although her stomach was turning uneasily. Shaking her head she spoke softy, ashamed of her thoughts “I’m sorry I distrusted you. It was ill thinking of me. You’re here now, you’re safe, and that’s all that matters.” Arwen sniffled and smiled overwhelmed. She looked into his eyes and brushed her hand delicately across his cheek. “I love you Kenshin.” She leaned her head against his warm chest, a few tears still rolling from her cheeks.
