((This actually happen maybe around noon-ish, instead of at the time of the post - just a little note for myself, so it didn't happen after the whole forge chaos.))

Zero was always one to keep forgetting to pick up the mail the morning. It was just her style - so instead she did so when she came back from some shopping. Her keys trinkling in her hand, she stopped in front of the collective mailbox her appartment complex, and opened her box to a surprise.

There was the usual, of course, bills, advertising junk... but what suprised her was the parcel, cautionusly closed and sitting there. But she had not ordered anything recently ? It had to be a mistake... Yet her address was on there, even with her name. How in the...

Well, she'll have to find out, she thought. Gathering the whole, she climbed up to her appartment and discarded everything but the parcel on a side of the table, while she sat on the other with the parcel. It was eating at her, really - the crap could wait.

She gentely opened the box, cutting off the tape with a knife, to discover something warped in paper. Disloging the item, Zero couldn't help but stare at the moment, then she spoke out to no-one.

"... a sextant ?"

Indeed, the object was familiar to her. Shuyin had went on about wanting one so much that the name was ingraved in her memory. This didn't help trough - she hadn't ordered anything from anywhere, even less a sextant !

But then, a sheet of paper in the bottom of the box caught her attention, and she read it.

Look beyond the shape,
lead a soul out of the raging sea
trough shining star as bring as shared bond
but remember, no one can see stars from inside...

Changelings - Arcadia's Heirs

Zero couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, confusion being read on her face. What was this about ? ...Maybe she had to go outside with it ? But what use would be a sextant in the bright noon sun ? She would wait till night.

The reploid was determined to figure it out.
PostPosted: Sat Apr 16, 2005 6:39 pm

When Zero came back that night, the only thing that reminded her of the sextant was the fact that it was still sitting on the table, where she had left it. Half of her mind told her she was too tired to deal with it now - but what COULD happen ? Beside, watching the stars would be relaxing after sutch a chaotic day.

With that tought, she took it and headed outside, welcoming the cold air on her skin, and walking behind the appartment block. She wished she could actually move out... Have an house. Durem was gray and dull, expecially at night, and the clocktower sure hid the stars sometime.

Shaking that thought away, Zero sat on a picnic table, brought up the sextant, and glanced up, not quite sure on how to use it. At least the night was clear...

But nothing was happening. Or nothing looked like it was gonna happen. Not having the patience for this, Zero mumbeled and left... accidentally forgetting the sextant outside, on the table.

Someone has been toying with the sextant... it's sitting upright, pointed towards the east, and a trail of small footprints leads towards and away from the table. The strange thing is that there's no sign of the prints after about ten feet... as if they faded in and faded back out once more.

Damnit, damnit, damnit, DAMNIT !

This was what went on in Zero's mind as she dashed outside, upon realising the sextant had been gone. She had forgotten it outside ! Of course she had been tired, but in her mind, she was nothing short of a total idiot.

She finally reached the picnic table again... and stopped, glancing over at the scene. The sextant was standing... and the day before had been so windy that it SHOULD have been knocked over, but the night after had been relatively calm...

The footprints only strenghtned her doubts : someone had toyed with it. Keeping in mind that it was an appartment complex, she should not have been surprised... but she was the only one to go in the backyard on a regular basis. And those footprints where... strange... and only became stranger as she followed them, and noticed that they vanished into nothing. Both sets of footprints, the one who went to the table and those who went away from it, dissapaired at the exact same spot.

Now, Zero had seen alot of wierd things in her 5 years of life, and figured that if someone managed to create a lump of metal that acts human, anything and everything could possibely exist. It didn't mean she had an explaination for this, as she sure as hell did not. A flying being ? Maybe... Or magic.

But there she remembered the words on the letter. Maybe it was what it meant ? Maybe this sextant belonged to whoever came, and it wanted it back ? ...But why didn't it leave with it in the first place... At any rate, everything pointed to the fact that it had to remain outside. But how could she make sure that no one ELSE take it ? If she moved it... whoever it was might not find it again.

She soon came to the realisation that there was nothing she could do... that it would depend on fate. Fate, and the stars, perhaps...

Glancing another time at the sextant, making sure it would not fall and break, she left to go back inside, her mind heavy with questions she could not quite answer yet.

4 days, a peek at the sextant, and it proved to still be there, the footprints still somewhat present in the soft spring earth, but slowly fading.

But somehow, Zero knew that it was not to budge form this spot.

Thus, instead, she sat on the table itself, feet crossed, her eyes sightly closed in a wearyness that couldn't be anything else but emotionnal. Those dreams, those scenes, so vivid... She didn't know what to make out of all this.

What if whoever came for the sextant days ago was watching her ? What would they think ? How would she come across as ? Questions, questions... maybe it was all a joke from Adrian, or something. Maybe she was too worried.

But there seemed to a bigger part of her mind that dismised that thought. No, it could not be. This sextant had attracted someone, but for what prupose ?

Her mind could not answer this one, however.

After a moment of simple sillence, enjoying the chilly spring air, Zero went back inside, still leaving the sextant behind.

[Meeting Keelan]

Quote:

Walking down the road Keelan's young face had a small frown crossing his lips. He's followed the directions that Miss Angie had given him and he was standing on the road he'd taken when he'd parted ways with her, and looking at a beautiful orchard. But it wasn't WinK's orchard and that seemed to be the main problem. His lower lip trembled and he tried his hardest not to cry, but he wasn't sure which direction to go now. He missed the angel, and Aurora, and all the cats, dogs and a few mice that seemed to live around the house. Even Morgon and the Nereids were pressing on his minds.

He sniffed and stepped into the orchard, settling to sit down underneath a tree to think and hopefully figure out which way to go from here. And maybe stop crying.

Footsteps echoed nearby, perhaps louder than they should have normally been for the woman that made them. Blue deads bounced on her shoulders as she walked, humming a bit at the music that came from headphones.

However, she suddently stopped, turning the music off as she perked. ...Sniffles ? And hooves marks, too tiny to be one of Adrian's horses...

It was then that Zero noticed the small centaur, near the tree. Her eyes softned, and she sat beside him, laying against the tree.

"What's wrong, kiddo ?"

Keelan rubbed his eyes, sniffling loudly and when he spotted the woman -however odd she might appear- walking closer he scrubbed his face harder, trying to rid himself of any signs of having cried. What he didn't realize is that it only made his tear-streaked face look more guilty of the action.

Looking at the woman he blinked, openly staring though he wasn't aware his mouth was slightly open. He'd never seen anyone with blue hair before, and when she walked she sounded so ... heavy on the land. Wondering why he was too stunned to shy away when she sat down and spoke. "I'm lost," he said stubbornly sticking his chin out, as if daring her to make fun of him.

"Ahhhh." She simplely answered. "I get lost sometimes too. It happen to everyone, really... Where are you trying to go ? Maybe I would know the way." However proud the young boy might seem, it was obivious he would need help. His reaction to her did not seem to bother the lady much - as if she was too well used to it and had learnt to ignore it by instinct.

Blinking, having heard this twice already, he was starting to wonder if adults spent half their lives getting lost. "I'm trying to find home," he said simply, still pouting, his eyes watering over slightly without his realization of it. "I got scared ... and I ... got lost," he said, wrinkling his nose.

A hand snaked up out of habit to play with the small pony tail that his black hair was tied into as he gave Zero the same description of WinK's house, with the gardens, the Nereid pools, Aurora's gardens and the orchard. "That's why I'm here," he said, glaring at the surrounding trees as if they had betrayed him. "I met a nice lady and she told me these might belong in WinK's orchard and they aren't," he said sadly, his hand tugging on his black hair.

"Ahh, I could see why it would seem familiar." Zero's face turned pensive, as she tried to recall if she had ever seen something like this... She had talked to WinK before, but had no clue where the angel lived, or even his phone number... which posed a problem, really.

"Is there a city around where he lives ? What does it look like ?" That would be a good point to start, yes...

Keelan watched the lady and nodded, thinking. "He lives on the land next to Hatter ... outside of Dor ... Dur ... eeeem?" he said, raising an eyebrow. It was a large, crowded city. It was where he'd gotten the vest he was wearing, and as he glanced down at it his nose wrinkled momentarily. He hoped WinK didn't mind the few rips.

Looking back up at the blue-haired woman. "What's your name?" he asked, his curiosity overcoming his sense of worry as it did in most small children.

Durem ! Well, this was a big improvement.

"My name's Zero." She answered, idely flicking a strand of blue hairs away from her scarred eye, that she tried to keep hidden as much as possible in hope not to scare the child. "I live in Durem... This is a friend of mine's place. I could get you back in Durem, at least..." Her lips curved in a smile, and she asked. "And what would be your name ?"

He blinked. Durem! Yes, that was right! A small smile spread across his young face as he beamed at the odd-looking but nice woman. The tears vanished from his eyes as if he'd never been crying, though his cheeks remained tear-stained.

"My name is Keelan-fel of Strongwood, but I live with WinK now," he said, nodding curtly and crossing his arms loosely, as if that explained everything. When she offered to help him back to Durem his gray eyes went wide and black eyebrows shot up. "Would you do that really, Miss Zero?" he asked, his tail brought to life with excitment as it flicked back and forth.

"Of course I would." She grinned. "That's a nice name, Keelan..." The little centaur was so adorable, really. What a little darling !

"Would you ratter go now, or ?"

"Thank you, Miss Zero," he said. He smiled and this time was succesful at fighting the blush that came along with a compliment aimed at him. Instead he scrambled up onto his legs, his tail frishing to the left and right with excitment. This was turning into an adventure!

"Could we go now?" he asked, glancing around. "Or, is there something you need to do?" he added, to make sure he wasn't imposing upon the woman, remembering that adults had things to do too.

"Oh, no, its all fine." She smilled, getting back on her feet as well. "I was just walking around and enjoying spring, but that's much better to enjoy in great company, ne ?" Pushing another bang of rebelious hairs, she jumped over the fence and went back to the road.

"Durem's over there." She announced, pointing torward the west.

Keelan thought about this, glancing up at the sky pouring down with golden sunlight as the birds sang merrily while they flew through the air. As he climbed through the fence carefully he nodded, agreeing with her. It would be nice to have someone to walk with, certainly.

Looking to where she pointed he headed off in that direction, his hind legs giving a little kick with excitment. He was on his way again, back home! Even if Durem isn't where WinK resided someone would know where he lived with all of the shops that the angel had accounts at. "Is it far?" he asked, skittering around the road with a grin, circling her with a hyper air.

"Hmmm..." Zero pondered, a black and white hand pushing the sunglasses over her eyes before both ended up deep in his pocket.

"About maybe 20 minutes walking... But that mostly depends at the speed you walk at. You seem to have gotten awfully far from home, ne ? How did you get lost, anyway ? I mostly get lost when im not thinking about where im walking." She grinned. "...Or when I see a huge spider." God, Zero hated spiders.

Looking from Zero he stared down the road, almost as if he knew that if he looked hard enough he could just see Durem at the end of the road. His back legs pranced in excitment as his rump rounded around his front legs, his forward hooves moving in place.

When asked about how he'd gotten lost his face blanched and his small body lost all semblance of excitment as he glanced around, almost scared to see another one slithering nearby. "I saw a snake," he said quietly, as if saying the word might make one appear.

"Ahhh... Well I don't like snakes much. But spiders really does it for me." She shrugged... Then seemed to feel a little bad for making him sad. An idea entered her mind trough, and she grinned.

"I bet that, if we run, ill make it to Durem faster than you !" She grinned, visibely ready to dash, but waiting for Keelan to start up first.

Keelan shivered a little, remembering the little green snake and how it had hissed at him ... shaking his head to clear his thoughts he caught the last of Zero's words. Spiders? But spiders were so silly! How could she be afraid of them, but not of something as frightening as snakes?

His eyes lit up instantaniously, almost ignoring the fact that he'd been scared nearly senseless only moments prior. With a snort, that sounded like it came from a horse and not from any semblance of human, he picked up his back legs and dropped them, letting them thump into the ground. "I'll win!" he said before spinning sharply and running off, his little form darting down the road with equine grace.

Hah ! Zero was getting good with this whole kid thing. Daring them always seemed to do the trick...

"We'll see that !" She started to run as well, making up for the lost distance and running after him. There was no way she could beat a centaur in run... or could she ? It seemed like she was as much focused into the race than Keelan was.

Keelan laughed, a giggle that sounded bubbly that blossomed into a whiny as his legs sped over the dirt road, kicking up dust. His arms outstretched as he welcomed the sunlight. It reminded him of back home when he had first ran, the sun was gold just like it was today.

Glancing back at Zero he laughed again and pranced once, Zero catching up quickly as he turned back around and looked ahead, focusing more on the race at hand.

Zero, indeed, was slowly but surely catching up, and did not seem intent on running out of breath anytime soon. A playful grin was present on her face, and she sent a playful wink to Keelan when he looked her way.

"Watch out, im catching up !" She teased a little, in a playful fashion.

He grinned and kept on racing, his delicate legs strong and pulsing as he pushed over the dirt road. Keelan was young and even with the trials of being lost he still had energy to spare as he ran down the road, troubles and snakes forgotten for the time being.

He snorted and skidded to a stop, his hind quarters almost touching the ground with how fast he halted his once-speedy pace, as the road split. His nostrils flared and he blinked, looking for Zero. "Which way?" he asked.

Zero caught up with him, then stopped as well.

"Hmmm... Right." She remembered, going down that path, but not resuming her running.

He followed, his sensitive ears picking up the sounds of people and commotion. "I can hear it!" he said, prancing sideways. "I can hear Durem!" His hooves danced across the dirt, his eyes sparkling with excitment at the idea of getting closer to home. "Hurry!" he said, flashing Zero a grin. "Let's go!"

He took off again, his excitment getting the better of him as he pounded down the road, happy when only after a few twists he was at the back alleyway of the outskirts of Durem. Glancing behind him he laughed and trotted down the paved street, his hooves echoing loudly against the stones.

"H-hey !" Zero let out in surprise, but laughed at herself as she went into a wild run again. That was one thing that should have been expected, given the playful nature of this one, but she did not mind in the least. The buildings of Durem where showing in the horizon, as the two travelers came closer to their goal. Once they would have reached the city, and there would need then would be to find where WinK lived... or maybe, given extreme luck, he was allready looking for Keelan in the city ?

Yes, this was certainly the city that WinK took Keelan to a lot while he was working on errands and such. Looking around he balked slightly; there certainly were a lot of people. Glancing back at Zero he smiled, "I'm closer to finding home!" he said with a grin.

Stepping out into the street he was immediately swept up into the crowd of people and whinnied, frightened. "Zero!" he said, crying out. Looking around as he was dragged and pushed along he couldn't find the woman, now lost in Durem, more lost than he had been in the country-side.

Zero nodded, visibely glad.

"Now, stay clo- Keelan !" Damn, just what she hoped WOULDN'T happen, he got swept up in the crowrd. She could hear him call, but she couldn't see him !

"Keelan ! KEELAN !" Zero tried to cut trough the crowd, but there was no use... it seemed like the centaur was long gone...

----------------------------

Zero roamed Duren for hours, but it was all in vain. It was like the little centaur had vanished... This was so stupid... She should have given him at least HER address !

She had to somehow find WinK... The idea of Keelan all alone in Durem was one she didn't like, but what could she do ?

Sighing, she was left with no other options than return home, after her cellphone had rang 5 times and the sky had begun to darken...

The sextant has vanished! In its place is a small wisp of smoke that doesn't seem to be affected by the wind in the slightest... but once Zero gets closer, a form starts to materialise, looking at her just as curiously as she seems to be looking at him...

PostPosted: Wed Apr 27, 2005 1:45 pm

It was shaping up to be a normal day, really.

That is, until she looked at where she left the sextant. Not only it was gone, but there was this... smoke ?

Squinting a little, another unnatural thing added up : There was a fair amount of wind, but the whisp of smoke was unaffected by it.

Taking care of not stumbeling in the stairs, she began to head torward this smoke, and stopped a few meters away. And then the day became even wierder...

The smoke stopped its small dance, as if it was "looking" at her... and slowly, very slowly... faded into a small, blue skinned child, with a genie's tail that fluttered behind him.

By that point, Zero's eyes where was huge as dollars, and the two just stood, observing each other in surprise.

Ohboy. Was this a joke ?

The little boy was the first to move, as he slowly drifted torward the reploid, as if somehow knowing she was the one he was supposed to go to. He stopped inches in front of her, tilting his head, and frowning a little, as if awaiting something from the lady standing in front of him. Zero blinked, once, twice, a third time for good mesure... then raised her arms to take him, half expecting him to disagree and move, but he did not, instead nesting on the crook of her arm, the whispy tail curled around the girl's bulky forearm, quickly falling asleep there.

It was well cute, until Zero freaked out in a "WTFBABY" kind of way, her mind racing at 10000 miles per hour. Baby ?!? What baby ?!? What the hell ?!? She had nothing to take care of a bady ! She didn't KNOW how to take care of a baby !!!!

Hoshit.

She made her way as slowly and calmly as she could, went up the stairs as well as she could without her arms (which really sucks with a severe lack of depth perception), managed her way inside and just flopped on the nearest chair.

Okay. Time to be logical. Which wasn't Zero's strongest point. Babies need milk. Therfore, she would need milk and a bottle. She would also need a crib, of course... And other baby things.

After her mental list, Zero informed Yoku of this, and the surprised, confused vampire boy had little to no choice but put on his hoodie and go to fetch the stuff, as Zero seemed pretty... attached at the moment. Pun intended.

Ignoring the noise caused by Nebula playing a game, since it did not seem to bother the baby, she let the questions flood her mind. What ? Where was he from ? What was he, exactly ? A genie ? Why was he left there, and where did the sextant go ? Was the sextant taken by whoever left him there ? His parents ? What was his name ?

The last question seemed the most important, as she looked down at the small, asleep face... running a finger gentely on his cheek, but unable to feel it's softness.

"...Shiku." She whispered, softly. Yes... this seemed to fit this little one... It was the best thing she could do, as she had no idea what given name his parents named him...

Well, maybe this wasn't so bad... Zero had heard alot of "horror stories" about babies but... Shiku did not seem to be much difficult, appart insisting on always being around her. The young baby was either in her arms, tail coiled around it, or fluttering beside her, depending. He sure cried and screamed during the day, but once night came, he seemed to quiet down to near sillence, and otherwise be more calm.... hm.

Right now was option #1, as Shiku happilly drank his milk. The scene had set many of the house's residents into a mad laughter (the reploid was probably the last one they had in mind that could take care of a baby) which was replied to by a deep glare. The little genie was ignoring it all quite effectively.

"So, where did he come from ?" Yoku was sitting on the table nearby, visibely intending to get the answers he could not have earlier in what he had dubbed the "baby crisis". At least she did not set the crib in his room, as she previously was gonna do.

"I know about as much as you do." She said, tossing her head back to remove a bang from her face, as her hands where busy. "I think it had to do with the sextant I recieved in the mail. It was gone then he was there."

Shiku perked a bit, visibely interested in the conversation those two where having, not that he understood it too well, but he liked the sound of those two voices, the two voices that where allready begining to mean warmth and protection for him.

"Didn't you get a card with it, or something ? A note ?"

It was Zero's turn to perk. "...I've totally forgotten about it ! It has to be on the table still..."

Zero was not the queen of tidiness, and Yoku, used to this, allready had it in his hands.

"...That sounds like a shop name." He pondered. "A shop that gives out objects that attracts parents..."

"Well, I've seen wierder concepts." Zero strugged, putting the bottle on the table as Shiku lets out a few happy baby sounds. "Now you need a nap, baby."

Shiku did not seem to mind... It was sleeping in the NIGHT that he minded.
PostPosted: Sun May 01, 2005 11:55 am

Shiku floated next to the girl, his silver eyes curious as he fluttered around his "mama". He had cried and fussed for as long as the window had let the sunlight it, but now that Zero had blocked it, he seemed to have calmed down.

Shiku seemed to dislike the sunlight... but why ? Was his parents nocturnal ?

The little genie squealed as he landed on Zero's head and began to tangle the braids.

"Ow... Ow... Ow..." Zero muttered, reaching for her laptop and writting.

Quote:

And they say TODDLERS are mobile... Then I ought to shoot myself now.

Shiku seems to dislike sunlight... I am thinking this has either to do with his parents being nocturnal, or maybe the sun rays burn his skin ? That might be why he only stands near windows at night...

But he does not seem nocturnal in the sence that he is... pretty active during the day. At night he tends to remain awake, but he is much calmer. He seems to like my star charms alot... Definitively there's some kind of connection in between him and the night, but what ?

Too many things to worry about... His parents had one hell of a timing, I admit, but taking care of children is all about sacrifice.

I just pray my hairs will survive until he's older.

And with spring came gardening.

Even with sunlotion, Shiku had retreated to the shade, the little genie fussing a little. Why couldn't it be night all the time ? Night didn't burn... But mama was handeling pretty colored things ! Ooo...

Zero hummed to herself sillently, arranging the bright colored flowers into the suspended bowl. This was a side of her not many knew, but hey, their fault for never asking !

The genie peeked, making an "ooooo" sound that caught Zero's attention, as she moved and put the bowl on the ground near the shade, Shiku hovering and peering at it curiously.

"Do you want to help me with my flowers, twinkle ?"

The changeling gave an happy little squeal as he... began to toss earth everywhere.

"Ah, no, baby, no !" She barely bited back a laugh, catching his little hands and guiding them into covering a geranium's root with earth.

"Like this, Shiku."

"....Oooo..." He titled his head, then began to imitate, covering the bulb with fresh earth. Zero just smilled.

Having someone be so dependable to you... so young and innocent... yet it filled her heart with a kind of joy she had never felt before.
PostPosted: Mon May 09, 2005 11:40 am

Zero had never been much of a multi-tasker... But she was sure as hell learning.

Today was WONDERFUL - sunny and warm. She couldn't resist, she had to be outside.

Shiku had grumbeled against it, but the shade of a tree, carefully chosen, was enough to sightly quiet the little genie down. Why couldn't mama bring him out more during the night... The cool air, the darkness, and the pretty stars twinkeling.... But he could tolerate that.

A small baby hat landed on his head then. "Can't have you get sunburnt, twinkle."

Shiku made some noise, but giggeled, everything was a little cooler now ! He pulled the hat down his face, which caused Zero to start laughing as well, and, forgetting her program and the laptop that laid onto her knees, pulled down her visor.

"Oh no, I can't see, I can't see ! Save me !"

Well, he couldn't just let mama be in trouble ! Bolting from his sitting position to become airborne, his crystal-like tail reflecting the sun rays, as he pulled it back up again.

"Ga !"

"Ohh, my hero ! You saved me !" She smilled, taking the infant in her arms and craddeling him until he felt asleep into her arms.

((Crossentry : Wren/Shiku))

Wren was painting again. It was an activity she ratter liked, and it took her mind off... different matters. There would not be any good into hamering her mind torward finding a clue about her misteress's dreams... She had to take breaks from it and come back to the problem with a rested mind... and hopefully to be able to see things from a different angle.

She was simpely painting the scene she could see from the window. The day was sunny, but cloudly, and a tiny bit cold... at least it was what the tv had said. But the sky was a very amazing blue, she had to admit... But mixing her paints to something fitting in color was not an easy task.

Nearby a tiny blue face floated... one of Zero's newest charges, a tiny baby that had caused her alot of worries, but she was really not going this bad off. Any attempts to find his parents had been useless...

Shiku simpely elevated himself upward, and glanced at the blank canevas with whide eyes. "Ooooo...."

Wren didn't seem too surprised, as she glanced down at the small genie. "Shouldn't you be napping ?"

"Ga !"

"I take it you would ratter watch me paint instead ?"

"Gaaaa !"

Wren chuckeled. "Ill take it for that... You see, Shiku, when you mix two colors, you can create another."

"Ooo...." The baby's eyes was wide, visibely completely amazed as Wren mixed blue with some white, creating a lighter blue.

"This one looks like your skin, but it is not really the color I am aiming for... I am trying to paint the sky there.

"Mm." A night sky was so much prettier, anyway ! "Ga."

"You're right, more white. You know, I could paint you a lovely little night scene if you're a nice little boy in the next few days."

This literally made the genie BEAM. "Ga !!!!!!!"

Another chuckle. "Later, trough.... I gotta finish this."

Upon reaching the right shade, Wren returned to her painting, a glance at the genie soon revealing him to be fast asleep.

((Crossentry : Wren/Shiku))

Should Wren be able to smile, she probably would have.

She gentely slid into the room, where the little genie boy was deep asleep, and the shades of the window closed, as per usual only opened at nighttime to let the starlight inside.

Wren simpely headed to the wall opposite to the crib, and raised her hands, but only to find two silver eyes peering at her curiously, but a little sleeply. Why had strange machine came and woke him up ? That did not make him ha-

Then he noticed just what Wren was holding and SQUEALED. Pretty ! Stars ! And they would not go away like those other do !

"Well, I told you I would, didn't I ?" Wren was sightly amused, she had to admit. "Go back to sleep, right ? You can look at it more later."

It didn't take much more to get him to listen, and Wren left after the painting was hung up, and the little genie had faded back to sleep.

A small, childish giggle was what initially caught Yoku's attention. Usually, Shiku did not laugh at nothing at all.

However, the sight that awaited him in the room was not one he expected. That being his mother, upside down on the CELLING, mind you, fixing a mobile above the crib. Even since Shiku had moved to his own room, she had been doing alot of decoration, but THAT ?

Upon noticing him, Zero made that kind of kitten face that she usually made when she was caught doing something stupid.

"...Didn't think ill'd ever make YOU cuss !"

"...How did you wind up there ?"

"...You are learning alchemy from a pixapet ?!?"

"I have no shame ?" Zero grinned, patting his head before heading off to cook.
