I have a friend who claims he isn't a rabin Sony Fanboy, but he keeps calling the DS's Dual screen a Gimmick, and When I say to him, "Isn't the PSP's DVD and MP3 player just a Gimmick as well?" He always just replies with, "I'm only kidding, you know." I've gotten him on the rocks a few times about the PSP, but he doesn't know how to swallow pride and just continues to make a fool out of himself.

But the PSP can't play DVDs. It can only play movies if they make them in UMDs, and the only good movie I saw that they plan on releasing is Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, and that's got a release date of TBA 2007.
Sony sucks. I have not bought a single game for my PS2 that wasn't from a great third party company (Capcom, Square Enix, etc.).

Gosh, if you say Sony sucks, that means you are saying God of War sucks. And that is top competitor for Game of the Year 2005. AND Sony themselves made it. Plus, you can use the memory stick to play movies, you are no limited to whats released on UMD. You can play any movie you want on it, as long as you have a big enough memory stick.

[...EC_Maya...] SSJMole The only thing good about the PSP is the sports games. If you are a large sports game fan, then you should buy it. A lot of people at school have a PSP/are thinking of getting one, but they had no idea about what movies would be released or what games are coming out. One of them almost threw it against the wall when I showed him the only have 1 really good RPG scheduled for release at all so far (and that game is TBA for now, probably in 2006). I don't see how people can like an X-box. It has its good points (games that they stole from other consoles like Dreamcast, Multi-platforms, and Halo) but that's it. If a company only releases a good game about once a year, then that company is crap. They plan on releasing X-box 2 a year earlier than PS3/Nintendo Revolution, but I hope they die just like Dreamcast did (though I was actually sad that Dreamcast died). What about the PSP's great graphics? What about it's ability to upload music and movies (via memory stick)? What about the great lineup of games (Well, to come, the lineup wasn't that good)? What about it's great look? I could go on and on. Also, I love the Xbox. Why? It has awesome graphics, a great online system (perfect way to get endless gameplay out of games, compared to games on other platforms, which don't have as much online), great games (Halo, Ninja Gaiden), they always get the best version of multiplatform games, the controller is easy to use, built in harddrive, etc etc etc Stop being so ignorant towards other systems other then Nintendo's. I MAY be a Nintendo Defender, but that doesn't mean I can't defend other systems too. X-box doesn't have great games. It releases a great game every several months, but there's almost nothing good on there aside from a handful of games, and anything that is either multi-platform or was just ripped of another system (Dreamcast). One of the top games I saw coming out for X-box soon is Jaws. That's sad. Harddrive is only a big deal to people to poor to buy memory cards. I make my own money, and I have plenty for both games and memory cards so the harddrive is useless to me. The controller for X-box is the most difficult. Plus, they didn't even make it up like Sony and Nintendo. They took a Dreamcast controller, added two buttons, and then made it huge. I probably do about 235% better on other systems only because of the controller (and I've used the mini X-box controllers) When it comes to multiplatform games, I either don't care about them, they don't come out on X-box, or I can get a better version on my GCN or PS2 (though I usually go for GCN because PS2 is mostly to get games from Square Enix). Like what I've heard earlier, graphics does not mean how realistic it is. I prefer the graphics to some of the games like Wind Waker to other games like Halo 2. Graphics don't make a system, nor do they make a game. I don't even consider graphics whenever I decide on a game/system to get, because it doesn't matter (though it seems to be everything to PSP). When it comes to online play, I can get bored of it within an hour, and I am a serious gamer. Gaming is what I do with my life. I can play a game for about 7 hours before I feel that I need to take a small break, and then get right back to it.

As far as I'm concerned, yes, it sucks. Sony and Microsoft are the same. They release about 2-3 games of their own that are great, and then they rely on third party companies for their success. That is why the PSP is going to fail, because third party companies support the DS more than the PSP because they see more potential, and they see the PSP's flaws. So you're going to go and pay $25 for a new memory stick per movie (it takes up the entire thing if the stick even has space), and then you'll have to buy another one for games and yet another one for music because they are so small. That's $75, plus $250 for the PSP, and then another $50 for each game that you decide to buy, even though you could get the same games for a much lower price and get a PS1 and save a couple hundred dollars (the PS1 and the games would probably cost less than all those memory sticks you plan on buying, and there's be no need for the other $250+ you'd be spending) and the PS1 is better because you have to play both at home (you only get a few hours out of the PSP unless you spend another $50 per battery pack) and PS1 has Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger on it (as well as most of the launch games released for PSP). If you still decide to defend the PSP so much, then you haven't read both the article and the comments (some PSP fanboys try to defend it and they get owned for it).

The article is a biased piece of s**t. I've read it. You CAN buy a big memory stick. THey are not all the same size. And you don't need to buy a seperate memory stick for each movies cause you can just take one off and put another one on. Plus, games don't take up that much space and could easily fit on with the movie. And not all the games are so expensive. And don't give me the "Third Parties support DS moere". DS isn't getting that much more games then the PSP so far, and the DS has been out longer. I know EVERYTHING about the PSP, dude. I'm not biased like most of you. All you are doing is just looking at all of PSP's bad points. That's all. Every system has bad points. Why can't you at least take into consideration the PSP's good points? By the way, I don't really like the PSP. I don't want to buy it. I just don't like people like you dissing the PSP for stupid reasons.
