BloodOnWhitePetals So do you have any Zoids house rules we should know about? I'm thinking either a cat-type zoid with powered claws and a big gun or a squid. Couldn't see that coming!

No real house rules that I can think of at the moment. I'm thinking that characters will be created using 40-45 character points and the Revised Second Edition BESM D6 Tri-stat system. This will allow for more streamlined mech creation and less of a mess for me when it comes to character sheets. The point cost is in the 40-45 range because I have found that standard Zoids are at least 60-80 point mechs, which means dropping 15-20 points right off the bat in buying Own Big Mecha at at least level three or four. That an the fact that the character points are also used to buy your three stats, means that another 15ish points are going to be eaten up there, leaving only 5-10 points on improving the pilot herself/himself. Normally, I go the route of making an amazing polite in a mediocre mech and then become amazing later in the game when I cash out for a much nicer mecha.....but either way is fine with me. ^_^

So I have a slight obsession regarding those... Ok, so it's really Easily Distracted (Sepiolidae, Cephalopoda) at 5 BP...

I don't mind what kind of Zoid you build so long as it is in the 60-80 point cost range when you're done. Keep in mind that most of the battle terain is usualy open, save for maybe a canyon battle or two, so build your zoid with that in mind.

Also, I now have four people which is enough interest for me to dump 2500 gold into getting my own subforum for this thing. I would like to hold out for six before we kick the game off but I would like to begin work on the sub-forum now. ^_^

My mod powers do not actually include the creation of subforums, though I can do a lot of other neat stuff ninja But as soon as AI-chan comes on, the "Banshi's Zoids Game" subforum is all yours pirate exclaim

I'll start setting things up late this evening and have everything ready by sometime tomorrow. I'll have rules, character sheets, and combat system posted for those who are unfamiliar as well as an Anouncement thread for updates and up-coming tournies. ^_^
I'll also add maybe a rankings sticky so that players can see how they stand up to the others. ^_^
This is going to be so much fun! ^_^

Glad you finaly showed up though. Now that my resident Backdrafter is here, I'm almost more than ready to get this thing on the road. ^_^
