The night glowed with her childlike state as she galloped along the riverbank in an air of effervescence. The air was on the cool side as it rushed along beside her but something felt wrong. Slowing up she turned around quickly noticing him simply standing there.
A frown painted over her white gray fur causing her ringed eyes of black to pull along with her somber expression. She flicked her tail and began walking in single file towards him. Her head went lower with each movement back. Her foolishness probally made him think her nieve and intollerable.
Lower her head slumped along with concaved shoulders,eyes darting toward the ground. When she finally returned she mumbled her ignorance in two words of apology. "Kimi sorry."

Kimi who was running carefree in the wind, Kail Chuckled. He enjoyed a person who could themselves around other soquilis. Noticing that Kimi slowed down, Kail's eyes twinkled with mischief.
Than the fact was, Watching Kimi walk back depressed, would only make the his trick more fun. He tried his best to look angry at her.
When Kimi finally reached him, "You should be." He said crossly before, Kimi realizing it, he pushed her into the pond. Now she was all wet! Laughing, he raced off.
Kimi's all wet!" He yelled back before racing off towards the ocean. The cool night breeze rushing in his face.

The lemur mare sit there in a daze her eyes blinking in confusion as the water soaked into her now muddied gray fur. It only took her a moment to burst outloud with a laughter that rang threw the trees unlike any noise Soquili ever made.
Pulling herself up the water drained evenly back to the pond she had been pushed into. A full shake consisting from head to tail left her a little drier but still a fluffy wet mess. Flicking the clinging mud from her now grayish striped tail she watched him gather distance.
"Kimi's all wet!" she heard him say as he chortled off as she did earlier. Not even a thought she bounded after him laughter in her sparkling eyes glowing orange and large.
"Kimi will get you Kail.... watchout.... hee hee" she called after him gaining speed. Finally someone that was just as silly as she was. Maybe those winking stars did know something after all.

"Ha!" As she gained speed, Kail began to ran faster until he suddenly slowed down.. They had run so far, That Kail and Kimi had reached the sandy shores of the ocean. DId they really run that far? "I suppose we did." He murmered as he looked back to find Kimi slowing down too.
Gesturing to Kimi, He stared out at the ocean again. The shores reminded Kail, of a far away world that lied beyond the ocean. He always did long for knowledge, and exploring the vast world beyond would be wonderous but as a stallion, He knew he never could.
"The ocean is wonderous isnt it?" As he gave Kimi a small distracted smile.

The smell of the salty atmosphere made her senses open wide. "Deep blue" she muttered under her breath to herself. She blinked looking at the rolling waves as they lapped hungerily against the shore only to roll back out again. The sandy grain beneath her hooves felt different than her homeland with an almost clay sensation to the sinking earth.
She trotted up beside him marveling at how crystal clear the ocean of its aquamarine blues shimmered beneath the moonlight. So different yet so unique to the jungle island shores she was used to.
"Deepblue... so large to Kimi. So pretty without angry rain. Kimi loves the deepblue." she whinnied prancing abount playfully in the sand.
"Now Kail imagine Kimi's world. Tall trees green and deep blue. Falling waters clear from high cliffs above. Kimi wants Kail to imagine Kimi homeland" she paused coming directly up beside him.

"But i dont have much of an imagination." As he trotted off, dipping his hooves into the sea. Even as a foal, he believed only what he saw with his own eyes. That probably had something to do with how he turned out now.
"Do you have anyone waiting for you now? I can probably walk you home." As he noticed it was getting late. Very late. His human companion must have been getting very worried about where Kail was right now. She would probably most likely be getting mad, that Kail wasnt there to help her with her chores too.
"She's such a slavedriver." As those kind of thoughts ran through his mind. It wouldnt help if someone else got mad at him, if Kimi had someone waiting for her.

Kimi pondered on his words wondering what he had asked her.
"Someone? Kimi don't understand what Kail say. Kimi live in clearing with Celendria and others. Kimi doesn't want to go back just yet. Is why Kimi travels far from clearing. Kimi searches for..." she stopped thinking quietly to herself. What was she looking for all this time. A question only she herself could answer in the strange way of life now.
Times change as do emotions and feelings. Glory had taken off as did Celendria. But where was Kimimela headed to? Never in her mind did she think to ever meet up with Kail the darkened caramel stallion that liked talking with her.
"Kimi never met human here but seen palefaces back homeland. Kimi is scared of them." she shuddered looking at him deeply. "Must Kail go now to his human?"

"Im afraid i have to." He admitted. His human companion would be getting mad if he didnt. "She gets quite angry if i dont come home." As he stared back to the horizon, where they had come from.
"But if you'd.. like. you can come with me. Not all humans are bad like you think. The indians understand the land and life, i know they would never try to hurt the environment intentionally. Or even us soquilis." He offered.
He assumed, it would take a 20 minute gallop to the village if he didnt stop. Oh well. This could be consiered punishment for gallopping out so far. Sighing, he hoped she would wait.

Kimimela adored the moment the stood in fearing it would end sooner than it had began. Her head held high as orange orbs focused on him thoughtfully as her striped tail swished back and forth.
"Hmm Kimi think Kimi wants to meet Kail's human. Kimi believe as Kail said that humans are not all bad. Kimi want to believe that with Kail." she nodded quite happily her ears flicking back and forth as she swayed in place. Gray fur harnesed with a white glow caused her to appear soft and almost furry in the paler moon's light. The black rings about her eyes giving her more personality as she beamed being there beside him.

"Okay." Kail was glad that Kimi had agreed. He would have felt really guilty if she didn’t, and Kail would have had to leave her there by herself. Many others told him, he had too good of a conscience.
-insert galloping here- wink
When arriving at the village, a little crowded with the morning people doing their chores, while some others remain in their teepee. Kail glanced over at Kimi, "People over here are friendly." He nickered. "They love soquilis.. for some odd reason. I suppose maybe because we are of some use to them, and that they are our friends."
A villager who was a man named Tamar yelled out, who noticed Kail, "Hey Kail! Where have you been?" As the villager ruffled his mane. Then he took out a couple of apples out of his pocket and gave one to Kail who took it, nuzzling the man which meant his thanks . "I see you bought another soquili along!" As the man gave a loud friendly laugh. "Would you like an apple too..?" He offered it to the lovely white mare. "By the way Kail. Little Suri has been waiting for ya!" As he gestured over to the left.
Hearing her companion's name, his eyes widened, and he got a chill. The fur on his back prickled. Glancing over to the left, Someone would see a little girl who was drawing in the sand. "Kaiiiilllllll!" as the little girl looked up and spotted Kail. Running over to him, she yelled out his name as she clung onto his leg. She was no more than half the size of his leg! "Wheresh hash Kail beeen?" As she began to cry, hitting him. But of course she was hanging on so she fell back into the ground dirtying her clothes.

The trip to the village brightened the gray mare's eyes with curiousity.
So much was going on in the human's routines. Smells of cooking wafted in the air causing Kimi to snort when a particular scent consisted of a burning carcass mainly a catch of some hunter. The sights and sounds made her gaze this way and that, back and forth, as she tried capturing the entire scene in one fell swoop. Of course the whole idea was not plausible in doing it all at once. This caused Kimi to feel a tad overwhelmed in which she giggled about.
The human of an older age made her head raise sharp and alert buit not in any way aggressive. He had a nicefeeling to his saged voice and friendly nature. As he offered her an apple she was at first taken aback by the kindness but overcame that accepting the fruit as red and round as a red gem. It was absolutely delicious! The best treat she had in a long time which she nickered her thankyou to the kind kawani villager.
What came next was nothing but pure amazement to Kimimella.
The child was so small that she reminded Kimi of how small little Takoda was when he first came out of his little basket.
"So human children are small like soquili when they are born? Kimi feels so happy to learn this with Kail!" she whinnied watching the little girl cling to the dark caramel stallion's leg. As she fell over though to the ground Kimi instictively went over to her nudging gently with her soft velvety muzzle.
"Kimi worried if she is okay Kail?" she questioned nuzzling the child so she would once again be happy.

Kail who was about to pick up the little girl, stared in surprise as Kimi helped her up. But he was glad to see that Kimi wasnt turning away from the humans. It looked.. as if she was enjoying it a bit. Smiling, "She's okay.. After all. She is my master." He said with a guilty look towards the child.
"Ohh." As Suri was nuzzled by the other soquili. Hugging onto the the mare's legs, She giggled. "Ish.. horsie friends of Kailsh?" She really liked this horsie. She was so pretty and nice, She couldnt help but hold onto the mare's nose, and she didnt want to let go.
"Ah. Mommy!" As he spotted her mother waving at her from the tee-pee. Letting go of the mare, she ran off to the teepeee. Afterwards Suri than ran out excitedly with her mother who was carrying a bag of mangoes who than put it on Kail's back.
"Oh. Kail! Did you bring home a friend?" As Suri's mother observed the mare. "I see, She is wild." Suri's mother's soft voice lingered in the air. Kail had always found it quite soothing. Suri's mother reached out to give a soft pet to the mare, her hands which gently move through the mare's face and mane. "Ah. Such a pretty one she is." She murmered.
Little Suri who tugged on her mother's leg, "Up! Up Mommy please!" As she felt herself being lifted up onto Kail's back. Tugging on his mane, she tried to get her feelings across that she was very very angry. "Kail hasta hurry next time!" She yelled.
Kail glanced at Kimi with uncertainity, "Would you like to stay in the village for a little while more? Or would you rather come downstream with me tio wash these mangoes?" He said with a tired look. He always felt so bad, and tired if Suri cried. Little children had a spell, Kail couldnt resist but give into.

The excitement of the humans facinated Kimi as her eyes darted back and forth. Somethings the gray mare had never thought to imagine opened themselves like a storybook right there in front of her.
The child clung to Kimi causing her to stand stiff from the sudden weight and movement. As Suri clung to Kimi's muzzle she squeaked from the surprise of the child's actions. Yet so warm and loving as they held fast only for a moment till she ran off after the call of her mother.
A brush of a leger palm than Suri made Kimi's withers tingle. So nice as she was petted and caressed by the middle aged woman's fingertips. Kimi stood quitely with an occasional nicker listening to that soothing voice. Her ears swiveling to catch every sound that was pronounced from the woman's words.
"Kimi likes Kail's familiy. Kimi will go with Kail to the river to wash mangoes. Alright with Kail and Suri?" she whickered as her eyes shinied brightly with her swishing tail. A light breeze washed through just then causing her decorative feathers to whistle softly as they twirled and rustled playfully.

Suri heard the mare talking to Kail, in horsie.. talk but she couldnt understand what it was. "..." As she stared at the pretty horse. "Letta go!" She knew she ouldnt understand but she assumed, that the pretty mare would come along. Giggling, she pulled on Kails mane. "Giddy uppers!"
"Sure. Having company is always fun. Im sure Suri wouldnt mind." Glad that she offered to. Kail walked down to stream, he hread Suri but knowing that Suri didnt even know the meaning of giddy up, he didnt feel he had to rush. She always said little random things. "Sorry, that you had to deal with all this." He said with a pathethic look. 'This wouldnt have happen, if i hadnt left Suri like that.. she doesnt like me away too long."
The stream was far for a human, but closeby for a soquili since they could walk in long strides and run faster than humans could ever run. They reached it fair quickly while he gently leaned down for Suri to slide off.
Running off to wash the mangoes, Suri held it delicately in the stream remembering to scrub the mangoes gently in the ice cold water. She liked other horsies. This was the first time Kail had brought home another horsie so she was happy. Singing a little song, She sang it softly while washing the mangoes. But it sounded alot like gibberish in a melodic tune.

The trip there was a trot and a half Kimi thought to herself. Her eyes never leaving the child that playfully bounced and trilled sitting firmly on Kail's back. The lemur mare loved little Suri, knowing it had happened from the moment she saw the little one fall to the ground. Strange as it was Kimi understood the relationship between this human and Kail.
She pondered on the two maiden's that left things for the herd now and then outside the clearing. The one that played the pretty sounds always peaked Kimi's interest mostly. She smiled watching Suri run off with the mangoes then turned to Kail.
"Kimi don't mind Kail. As Kimi is enjoying herself with Kail's family. Kimi thanks Kail very much" she replied with a tint of raspberry to her pretty cheekbones.
As she listened to Suri singing she whickered with a joyful smile. So many stories to tell Glory when she returned back. For now though she was in the happiest place in her world.
