(haha, just kidding. i haven't had the honor of listening to anything by the cramps, recommend a single song to me! surprised ) Haha! That was amusing! xd Kind of reminded me of my friend Randall! He was practically the only male at my last job and he'd hear all of us girls talking about the monthlies, etc. And then sometimes he'd chip in. "Oh, yeah, I started mine yesterday." Anyway, let's see...what's a good song by The Cramps...Goo Goo Muck! biggrin That's a good one! I love the lyrics, they crack me up! The genre is Surf Punk. My mother's boss gave me their CD for my birthday. And up until then I'd always heard her and even her daughter talk about them, and I can't believe I hadn't listened to them yet.

durrypoo hmmmm, I'm mainly a metal(Heavy and Power the most) and rock fan, I also like Classical, jazz and blues a lot... I also like certain kinds of electronica... I hate hip-hop and reggaeton a lot, mainly because of their excessive repetivity and as arrogant as this may sound, their lyrics are stupid and degrading in my opinion... my list of liked artists includes: Iron Maiden heart Bon Jovi Rhapsody Accept U2 Van Halen Dragonforce Helloween Edguy Whitesnake Stratovarius Nightwish Joe Satriani Hammerfall and just about a lot more... I KNEW someone had mentioned Dragonforce in the thread! heart My friend Emma is going to see them in December. I'm quite jealous.

actually, before I make this too long, there's very little I don't enjoy listening to, I'm very eclectic in my tastes.

Heh, then you should merely make a list of what you dislike! biggrin
If I had a wider range of music, I'm sure I would...but recently my tastes have been closing in...I seek to remedy this.

I like mostly Punk and Metal, but I'm open to Ska, Electronica, (some) Hip-Hop, (some) Country, whatever I feel into at the time. Recently I've been mostly listening to This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb, Against Me!, Tragedy, Ekkaia, Crass, etc. Too many to list to be fair smile

Well. In some random order.
Mindless Self Indulgence Modest Mouse Flaming Lips Outkast Sublime Nirvana Gorillaz The Doors The Smiths Blur Cake Red Hot Chili Peppers System of a Down (a massive amount of indie techno, club music, and dance) (not so massive amount of indie rap, but still significant)
Thats about it... I only listed the artists that I have more than one cd of. There are a lot of other artists that deserve recognition, but I don't remember them all right now.

mmmm, goldfrapp... smile
i've heard a lot of her work. i really like it, but to be perfectly honest, sometimes it feels like her songs don't have a lot of variation from one another. other than a few key songs, i can't describe any to you in a description that wouldn't match a lot of others.
i recently started listening to ladytron again, i like them. oh, and a group called kasabian. pretty groovy stuff.

Hmm, music... I'd try to list what music I listen to, but it would be ridiculously lengthy, and tell you nothing about my taste as I'm so eclectic. What I will do is pop up some links to the 2 podcasts I've started listening to: www.punkyradio.comitsafrogslife.net/podcastOh, and I have one too (just getting going), so that shows a bit of my music taste, as well as all the other whatnots I like - poetry, writings, art, etc. www.aplaceinbetween.com/vodcast

I know what you're talking about, sometimes I mix up several of her songs because they sound similar. A few of them though I really enjoy. I couldn't name them off for you right now (because I haven't listened to her extensively for a couple of days), but I know one is Train. -nod nod nod- I haven't ever listened to Ladytron or Kasabian. I might check those out. Recently I've been listened to Regina Spektor lots. As well as Jack's Manequinn, The Beatles, Tori Amos, The Clash and Pierre Lapointe. heart

I like a lot of music, and most of the bands I like don't fit easily into one genre or another. In fact, I tend to despise most "genre" music, because it's shallow and commercialized. Here are a list of some artists and bands that I like.
Pink Floyd The Frogs Rasputina The Beatles Sigur Ros Future Bible Heroes Neutral Milk Hotel Air David Bowie Bob Dylan Cat Stevens Crispin Glover Daniel Johnston The Kinks Led Zeppelin The Who Mazzy Star Nick Drake Simon & Garfunkel Radiohead Rolling Stones Smashing Pumpkins Wendy Carlos
